they kind of sound like paramore, but i bet as they grow as a band there music will change. there still pretty awesome, i'm not a fan but i love there song "homecoming" and "How you love me now"
I do like them and own their album, but they just seem like such a rip off of Paramore. look at the back cover of their album for instance, Paramore had a pic almost the same as that way earlier.
The album 'Hold on tight' isn't very good.I'm sure they will get better over the years though...
Something about them annoys me, and I can't figure out what it is.It could be Cassadee's vocals or the fact that it sounds like any other band.
I listen to many bands, and some bands sound the same as others. The only difference is that this band has a girl lead singer. That's the only thing that makes them unique-ish.
i love Hey Monday and I hate when people say they're trying to be like Paramore, because they really aren't! Hey Monday and Paramore are two totally different bands, with two different styles, and ways of doing things. People who say they're trying to be like Paramore need to stop, because they're wrong.
Even in their very first album, the songs are purely rock and nothing else.
Um...I would have to disagree with that. I personally think that they're pop-rock.
And this artical seemed a bit biased...
I don't understand why everyone's like "they're absolutely NOTHING like Paramore," when they clearly are. I'm not saying they're trying to BE Paramore, but it's pretty obvious they've been influenced by them. In my own, sole opinion (opinion being what I think, not fact, so don't tear me apart, teenies) they are a crappier version of a good band i.e Paramore.
And not just because the singer is a girl, either.
I love Hey Monday. I met Jersey and Cassadee at the Believers Never DIe Tour. Sweetest band people I've met. I can't wait to see them again in June. =)
