Hey Monday - Comments

I love Hey Monday. They are not wannabe-Paramore. Totally different styles. Just because both vocalists are female...*sigh*

They're just a poppier Paramore. It's not just because they both have a 'girl singer'. You don't see either band being compared to Evanescence.

Girl lead singers these days are quiet annoying..
Eg: Hayley Williams. (=

When I first got their album I REALLY liked them. When I saw them live, however, I was a bit disappointed. They're not as good live as they are in studio, but I still really like them.

I saw them live. I met them :) They are [i]nothing[/i] like Paramore.

What I dislike is people hating on them by saying they're trying to be like Paramore.
I can't really go around youtube videos without reading comments comparing them and arguments.
Both of them are unique in their own way. Seriously, what's the similarities? The only thing that's the same is that Cassadee and Hayley are female. I adore Hey Monday and Paramore. I really like how Hey Monday isn't afraid to show that they're kind of in the pop genre, too. Like I said, their style is different from Paramore's but both are amazing bands.
People need to stop classifying them as just "Paramore Wannabes".

Hey Monday is love! I really wish they'd stop comparing them to paramore, though. yeah, they have a female lead, lots of bands do. i mean they never compare evanescence to paramore. i personally dont like paramore. thats just my opinion. i hope hey monday go far.

I think they're okay and they do sound like a kind of sweeter and more poppy version of Paramore. I probably wouldn't buy any of their albums (if they make another one) since they're not my style, but congratulations on doing something they love.

Well, let me just say, more people dislike them than I thought.
I'm one of them.
And though you mentioned that they are easily compared to Paramore, I'd say that paramore is better (not by much, and in my opinion that never mattered) aaand it's pop-tastic. =P

I love them! The ONLY reason they're compared to Paramore is because they are both female-fronted and have otherwise all-male musicians.
They're both kinda pop-rocky, too.

It's not really rock.. Not rock as I know and love it, anyway. I see them as a shinier version of Paramore, to be honest - more pop than rock.

I don't really like Hey Monday. I like one or two of their songs but besides that, they're not very good.

Hey Monday are pretty damn awesome, but yeah I can see how they're compared to Paramore.

Why do all the recent bands look, act, dress, pose, and sound the same? Don't they know that being different will get them more media attention?

I went to see these on Sunday.
They were okay I guess, the only song I liked was Candles.
The rest sounded the same.

i extremely dislike Hey Monday. they make my ears bleed.
