I tried watching the TV show, but the whole time I just wanted smash up the screen. It seemed boring and overly dramatic. I had never even heard of The Vampire Diaries until the show, and to be honest, the previews just killed any chance of me reading the book.

I agree with you. The Elena character in the book is obsessive herself when she gets just about the whole school to help her get stefan. It's annoying and very cliche`. The show is entertaining and Damon is beyond awesome.

I like the books a lot more than the show
I get so confused sometimes because they didn't keep it to the book
I did get slightly annoyed that they changed Elena completely.
But I do enjoy watching it anyway

I got bored of the TV Show. I couldn't see where it was going.
I haven't attempted the books yet, though.

The tv show is good but i think they should have at least kept along the same plot line as the books

I have to admit, the tv show is good, but I wish the kept a little more of the book in it.

Maybe at least trying to get the characters in the tv show to look a [i]little[/i] like the characters in the book would have helped a lot.

I personally like the show better than the book. which usaully doesn't happen for me. I think it was because i saw the show first then read the book and because they're so different i couldn't get into it. and Vicky i don't think is in the books either if i remember correctly.

if they wanted it to be more like that book they should have switched Caroline's person with Elina, since that is how it is in the book.
