Her close friends call her Rayne, Stormy, Ray-Ray, and Rainbow (but she only allows her bestest friends and close family to call her that). When Liam, the school's popular jock and Raynie's ex-best friend, starts to follow her, a school outcast, around (even though she's constantly telling him to go away) people start to question the two of them and their past history.

Liam Lewis' little brother. Daniel has dark brown hair, deep sea green eyes, and he's 5ft 8in. Daniel's always found it sort of difficult to live in the shadow of his older, popular, brother, Liam. He finds it annoying how everyone in his school looks up to Liam as if he's some sort of supernatural being. He misses the old Liam, the one that used to hang out with him and Raynie and her friends. Daniel also has a crush on Destiny Soyer.

One of Raynie's best friends. Destiny has hazel, green eyes, and she's about 5ft 4in. She loves to make fun of Rayne and tease her about 'secretly being in love with Liam'. Even though she teases Raynie about it, a part of Destiny believes that Raynie is actually starting to have feelings, other than hate, for Liam. Destiny has a huge crush on Daniel, but she's too shy to tell him. She's liked him for about a year and seeing him go out with other girls (who only use him to get closer to Liam) hurts her because the girls always end up leaving him because they're "in love" with his older brother.

Erin is Raynie's best friend. Rayne calls her Silver, and she calls Rayne Rainbow. She thought of the nicknames 'Rainbow' and 'Stormy' for Raynie. She only calls Rayne, Stormy whenever Rayne's in a bad mood. She also calls Raynie, Braynie because she's always doing her school work, and getting straight A's. She's known Raynie since they were 9, but she doesn't know exactly what happened with Liam and Rayne. Her, Rainbow, and Liam all used to be best friends. After an incident that happened between herself and Liam, she dis-owned hiim as her friend and never looked back. She's hated Liam ever since.

He tries to keep Liam away from Raynie because he believes that he's getting in the way of them getting back together. But it seems that every time he tries to talk to Raynie, someone’s always blocking; usually her friends, Liam, and (for some reason he doesn't understand) Mindy Parker.
