Bridget's life was never the same after being injected with the Infinity Formula. She wasn't able to watch Stephanie become a woman, and had to watch over her growing family from afar. She has never truly forgiven Steve for not telling her about Project: Rebirth, and goes by her maiden name as to not be reminded of him. She also blames him for her having to lead a life she never envisioned for herself. Now since he's back and she'll be in his presence again, Bridget feels that she must keep him at bay so she'll be able to avoid being heartbroken for a second time.
