Quite honestly, this is probably one of the best stories I have ever read. Ever. It's awesome :]

The slumped over body shook and a heavy head turned to face me. Sunken eyes stared back at me, their colour almost as rich and glossy as the caramel liquid he held. A stupefied look crossed his face, and for the first time since this afternoon, I saw Alex smile. "Hey Addy."

Your descriptions and imagery are enough to make a person melt, you know that? I thought it was so sweet with the conversation with Addy and her father... the nostagia was very real. It's all so enviable. Oh, and my dear? The ending was hot. I see foreshadowing, and Pat Benetar's words ring true: love is a battlefield. I loved it, =)

It was great. I love the contrast between the D&M scene with her father to the drunken bar scene with Alex. And I loved the milk and cookies metaphors.
