I really hope he doesn't die, but it's nice that someone on this site is writing about such a real issue that readers can relate to in some way. This story makes you feel for everyone because they struggle with the fact that they could lose someone so close to them... beautifully written.

I feel bad for Nick, the family, and Casey cause they are all about to lose someone dear to them.
