Sorry for the lateness. I’ve been rather ill lately, and it impacted on my writing so much that I daren’t risk trying to formulate a proper review. :XD

Again, I am in awe of how well you have constructed this fic. This chapter continued the story very smoothly- kept it in the same tone, I guess. I love that so far, no direct dialogue has been used. It creates the feeling that Jack feels he is alone with his thoughts- I’m guessing you did that on purpose. Another thing I admired about this chapter was the description of Jack’s insomnia. Especially this little passage here:

“Jack tosses and turns the rest of the night. Each crease in the bed sheets is a reminder of what he’s lost.”

Very poetic, while maintaining a beautiful simplicity. Most of your descriptions match that criteria, and that is why I feel like I can look over your work again and again and still find more small, sublime things to love. The way you introduced the concept of Zahdanium breath was very subtle, which I enjoyed, along with the very sensory description of the Hub’s archives. As one of my English teachers used to tell me, good writers show, not tell and you definitely have a knack for showing.

Can’t wait for the next update- it’s fics like these that make me even more passionate in my campaigning :XD. I hope you have much fun on your Green Day trip (and oh yes, I’m still jealous) and am eagerly anticipating your return.

Well done on another excellent chapter.
:tehe: Thanks, Phoebe. I'm back now so I'll post the next one up tomorrow.
I tend to go towards more description than dialogue. So I'm glad you like the way I describe things... I always get very vivid images in my head.

I love the two chapters. Very detailed. Unfortuantly my story won't be as detailed as this but I am working on the detailing. yes I am making a Torchwood story. You kind of gave me the idea but the plot is mine. XD *subscribes*

Omg, fucking AW! At Jack feeling guilty because Ianto thought he was just a blip in time to Jack. In Love
I am so happy he knows how to resurrect Ianto now! I hope he finds a vial really soon.
It wouldn't surprise me if they were on Ebay or something. :tehe:

No seriously, I suppose he'll have to go through some trouble, either with criminal aliens ot something weird like sneaking through a church/chapel full of sleeping weevils, but I just want Ianto back. I want to cuddle him, and for Jack to cuddle him. :arms:

Have fun, but come back in one piece, please and thank you! :twitch:
:tehe: Jack only wishes he could find a vial on Ebay. :XD
But alas, that'd make this story only 3 chapters. So it's a bit more dramatic than that. *twirls mustache*

And thanks. :XD I'll try and come back in one piece. My brain might explode at the end of these shows though so no promises.

Cry I actually had tears in my eyes.
That was so powerful, and so full of emotion. This is one of - if not the - best torchwood fanfiction I have ever read. I loved it so much.
Since COE aired, I have been hating Jack, because how could he kill his own grandson, and let his lover die like that? Old jack wouldn't have sacrificed his own grandson, old jack wouldn't have let Ianto into that room.
But your story made my heart go out to jack again. But hey, the doctor really was right, wasn't he? Torchwood changed jack. But old jack is still there in your story, and thats what I love. It shows that even though Jack did those things, he will still try anything and everything to get Ianto back.
This was beautiful and heart wrenching. I think you've made me love Jack Harkness again. I miss Ianto Cry And Tosh. And Owen... and Old Jack. But your story gives hope to torchwood.

I really, really loved this. :arms: You're a very talented writer.
    Thank you =]
I wrote this fic for myself to get over COE. I hated how Jack was written in it, it just wasn't him. And I had problems with a lot of other things. This is my attempt at fixing some of it. (I was going to try and fix Stephen's death as well but I think his was destined to happen. Ianto's death seemed pointless so I think in the long run if Jack did bring him back it wouldn't upset the timeline [which is something the old Jack would care about])

I'm really glad this made you like Jack again.

First off, I have been waiting for this eagerly for a number of weeks- and let me tell you, I am in no way disappointed.

Ash, I think I told you awhile back that they definitely need you on the Torchwood writer’s team. Perhaps the first time it was because I know you, of all people, would not kill my favourite character- or if you did, you‘d find a very logical way to bring him back. :tehe:

But I’m saying it again now because of the sublime way you have constructed the beginning of this fic. It’s one thing to make an idea sound amazing in the planning stages, but you have presented the final product even better then I could have imagined. Maybe it’s because I’m a big sook at heart, but I honestly had to blink tears out of my eyes at a couple of parts- especially at the line: "…Hands that shouldn’t be as cold and lifeless as he felt earlier that day. His pale body even paler now. His little imperfections showing against that red tarp…”. The whole section concerning the hands was probably my favourite part of this chapter because of the way it contrasted Jack’s memories of Ianto. I must admit, even though the following few lines caused me to choke up a little, I did smile at: ”Hands that could do some very nice things when the lights went out.”. It was a truly beautiful little piece of prose…

I can’t wait to see what happens in further chapters- even if I did get a little insight from you on how the story will pan out. I don’t frequent Mibba as often these days, and I’ll be damned if I can remember the last time I clicked the “subscribe” button and checked my inbox for updates. But you know what? I think for this story, I can make a change. In Love

Oh, and P.S- amazing banner, as always. Wow
:tehe: You're too kind. Thanks so much.
and that was one of my favourite parts to write too. It's one of the last things I added to it. I think it worked well.

And you know me, I have to make a banner that fits. :XD
