    this reminds me of the area in which i grew up. the way you write it is brilliant. you write it from the point of view of someone looking at their shoes most of the time, it's hazy, but the little clear details become so much more important : ) and as others have said.. i love the fact that these people are 3 dimensional, they have lots of layers, and it makes me very happy : )

    hah so the end of that chapter made me smile- i couldn't help it, it just happened.
    it's really wonderful, it says alot for your writing skills when there is not much happening but the small moments still keep the reader enthralled.
