In the Mind of Madness - Comments

This is really good and I love the relationship between the 2 main characters. Even though there are some punctuation mistakes here and there, they don't interrupt the flow of the story.
I'm at chapter 25 and I can't wait to know more!

I loved reading from the Joker's point of view. You showed how insane he really is but made him lovable at the same time. She better live or I'll never know what happens between her and the Joker. :( That would be sad. Update soon!

I'm so glad to read something from the Joker's point of view! May I just say, "...it was what made him want to slice her to ribbons. Shove her in a wood chipper. Feed her rat poison. Drop her off a tall, tall building. Throw her in a shark tank naked and rolled in blood. /Squeeze her and never let go./ Ugh." I squealed like the fangirl that I am when I read this. Goodness, I ship them so hard. Haha.

I'm sure writing straight from the mind of madness ( ) is no easy feat. I was impressed by the level of illogical thought you managed without making anything incomprehensible. Brava! I can't wait to see more!

It's fine, despite the cliffhanger I understand what it's like to try and write a chapter that's really difficult to write. And I'm now so so excited that you're writing it from the Joker's perspective - you'll pull it off, I'm sure. No pressure. xD I have the strangest prediction that the next chapter's going to make me sad. If it is what I think it is. And thank you :) I'm pretty bad at reviewing people's work too. In the sense that I ramble a lot and don't offer much useful crit/tips.

I really love you (and all readers/commenters) and I'm genuinely sorry for the long cliffhanger. I didn't intend to take so long to update but I'm sort of writing the next chapter from The Joker's point of view and it's proving a challenge. Anyway I appreicate your lovely comments as always and I swear that some day I am going to beat my ADD into submission and read Crossroads as completely as it deserves to be read. Though I'm honestly bad at reading/reviewing other people's work.

Let me just start this comment off by saying that it should be illegal to write a cliffhanger like that.

Illegal. By the time I reached the end of it and realized there was no more, I was basically writhing on the floor while sobbing to myself.

“Shall we make a movie, then?”

CRANE YOU LITTLE BASTARD. I love you but please don't pull that fear-toxin crap on Kenna. He's going to film it then send it to Joker, isn't he? So much turmoil.

I was going to comment way before this, but whenever I tried to comment I didn't know how to word my love and frustration so I gave up after a few minutes of staring blankly at a screen.

Her response was a mordant look laced with discomfort. “S-so I’ve heard, doctor. It could also have something t-to do with the fact that I’m half-naked, though.”

Kenna still manages to be awesome, even while half-naked with Scarecrow, in a freezer. Kenna has style. Even I know why the Joker keeps her around.

O’Dwyer started to leave the freezer, chuckling darkly to himself. “I think you’ll be surprised, doctor…There’re lots of ways to punish a man.”

Even O'Dwyer realizes the love and attraction between the two. I JUST CAN'T. I'm not insulting your characterization or anything like that, because really that's how I believe both the Joker and Kenna would act - in total denial of their feelings. But still. Ke-e-e-enna. Ke-e-e-e-enna. The Joker is a hopeless cause when it comes to accepting feelings but I have hope for you.

Kenna was aggressively holding her jaw together so she wouldn’t cry out from the pain in her wrists. It in combination with the chill almost had her desperate and she decided that this was a very effective method of torture indeed.

I adored this description. I'm not sure why, because your writing is amazing all of the time, but this one seems special.

O’Dwyer raised his eyebrows at her. “Oh, I ain’t gonna kill ya, girl.”

“You…aren’t?”

The Irishman shook his head and looked up at her injured arms. “I had to make a deal with my son or I’d never ‘ave any peace…No, I have other plans for ya.”

Brawley <3 You fantastic person. I love him so much.

“I’ve wanted to treat you for a long time now, doctor.” Crane put his back to Kenna and moved slowly for another part of the freezer she couldn’t see. She didn’t like that at all. “Because what normal mind could survive months with a man like The Joker? You must be…well, you must be crazy…hm, doctor?”

I loved this piece of dialouge too. Crane is still brilliant, fear toxin or no fear toxin. But I don't think Kenna's insane, not really. She survived months with the Joker because she's a psychiatrist. Her mental strength must be pretty strong if she worked in a mad house like Arkham.

Anywhoo, the update was wonderful as always. You should update because the cliffhanger's slowly eating me alive.

I can't wait for the next update! I love this story!
