I believe that Layla is conflicted right now.
Her instincts are telling her to run away from Austin since she knows who he is and how he treats the opposite sex while her heart is telling her another thing.
Like when Austin acts cruel to her, she in turns tries to act like she doesn't care but she is hurt by the way Austin is.
I really thought that was mean of Austin to say that to her! XP

Ugh Layla and Austin have too much pride separately to even try to start a real relationship with each other now. I just hope they really don't try to get to know each other or else it's gonna be a huge mess of emotions! One is gonna fall for the other, then the other is gonna fall for the first, then they'll never admit it, and then someone's gonna get hurt. Everything is sad in the end!

Oh my god, I love everything about this whole story so much already!!! And this chapter was amazing! I love the interactions between Austin and Layla. They are so funny and I'm already attached to them! And I definitely cannot wait to see how this deal to not be attached to each other goes. I feel like Austin underestimates how attracted he is to Layla. I can't wait for more!!

I believe that Layla is already getting attached since she got jealous when Austin was flirting with others girls and that statement he made about not looking for a relationship hurt her.
And she is trying to cover it up by being flirty and like she doesn't care too much about him.
Even her best friend can tell that Layla is falling hard for Austin and she knows how Austin is with girls.
Maybe she cans stop Layla before it's too late.

well Austin is right. Girls tend to attach easily. I was/am in the same situation. Friends with benefits who turn into something you can describe...and then I found myself attached. ARGHHHHHHHH!
