It took me a minute to figure out what was going on. I didnt realise the chapter had skipped forward several years. Once i did i could not stop smiling. I love how it ended. It was the perfect ending to the perfect story. Thank you for writing it and sharing it.

Just caught up on the most recent three chapters!! EJ leaving Brian was heartbreaking!!! But the birthday party was a lot of fun and I am so happy that Brian has custody now and he doesn't have to worry!!! Looking forward to seeing what you put up next :)

I've been watching so much Law and Order lately that this chapter was super exciting for me. I loved it, and I'm so glad that Brian gets to keep EJ. I was actually nervous that you'd pull a fast one on us lol. Thank you for continuing with this story and updating it!

I'm so glad she gave him the present in front of his grandparents, only because they felt so entitled when it comes to EJ, I do feel a little bad for Jake but he could have adopted him long ago. Can't wait for more.

Maybe this is an awful thing to say, but I think Holly and James deserved to have the adoption papers shoved in their faces for the way they treated Brian, Michelle and EJ. It is unfortunate for Jake, but he had years to file for parental rights and he didn't. Michelle deserves to have rights over EJ just as much as Brian does, though. Either way, cute chapter. So glad you're back to updating.

Oh, man, the whole birth certificate thing was really cute (and obviously super significant) but I'm honestly just kind of shaking my head at Michelle, because I feel like she should have waited until Holly and James and Jake had left, since they were so obviously hurt. Oh, well. I'm interested to see what comes from this

I love this story I'm not really on this site anymore but when I saw you put up a new chapter I just had to come back and read it.

This was so sad! I missed this story so much and I was so excited when I saw you updated. I'm glad that you're deciding to finish it, though, and hopefully you get your inspiration back. I know it sucks when you lose it, but this story is definitely worth it.

Every time you update I feel joyous. I absolutely love this story to bits. Sorry I haven't commented sooner. I have always preferred to be a silent reader, but the story is worth taking the time to comment.
Your characters are amazing and the development of all the characters keeps me wanting more. To me, I believe that character development throughout a story is one of the most important factors.
The emotion in this chapter, like many others, is very raw and I can so easily empathize with the way that Brian and EJ were feeling. I remember when my dad drove me to college for the first time a couple of years back and that was hard, but I could never imagine being in EJ's situation.
I believe that this story still has great things ahead, and I know that it will continue to be amazing!
