What a beautiful authors note and so thoughtfully written :) I think you hit the nail on the head with the reason for your procrastination. It's difficult to come to the end of a wonderful story and say goodbye to characters you are so emotionally invested, whether you're the reader or the author. I'm glad your writing experience has brought about such positive changes.
