Ahh, this is good :) I love where this is going!

Absolutely love the story! Nora's character is so stubborn. I obviously want to see her in some kind of relationship with daryl even if it was just a friendship. I really like the build up that you have created. This is probably the only fanfic I've read that Daryl has put up a fight/rejected the female right off the bat but I love that you did that because I honestly feel thats how he would act. He is going to push away anyone that comes close to him. You can clearly tell how lonely Nora is but she pushes through. The fact that Nora/Daryl started off with a rocky start will ultimately lead to a stronger bond between the two. They're both putting their survival in this cruel world before anything else.

Needless to say you're brilliant and I truly can't get enough of this story :)

Even if the chapters are rushed; they're still looking good.
I'm getting antsy to see what happens next.

Walkers:
I was confused at first, as to who was talking. I figured it would be Nora, but I couldn't be sure who she was talking to. I suspect this was the reaction you were hoping for because when she says “Bet you killed him!”, well then it all makes sense. I love that she isn't just seeing the walkers as 'trouble', but rather she sees them as murderers who took her dad away.

Nora's struggle with the pack of walkers shows that although she has had a previous encounter with a herd (though with other humans fighting), she is still learning. She has definitely shown enough to prove that she can take care of herself, even if she still needs Kit's help. Again, I love your descriptions of the walkers. You don't just repeat the same thing all the time. You find different ways to describe it instead. It definitely makes the story that much more interesting, and we aren't left thinking "haven't we already read this?"

I could hear Kit gnawing into the squishy brain of whoever was trying to eat mine. A nice little mention of the typical zombie!

It amazes me how realistic you have made Nora's character, and it is mainly in her vulnerability, but also her determination. Things don't come easy to her. Not like you see in other stories where the protag easily escapes within seconds of a walker biting them. Nora has to work hard for it, and if a walker gets close to her during her escape, then it is because she has taken a long time in her attempt to break open the window. Not because she left escaping til too late.

I think some of the bits I love most are when you put Nora and Kit as one. And we ran. We ran with wonky legs.

Very uncertain as to who is in the car... I'll have to see when I get to the next chapter! I've been waiting for an update!

Ghosts:
It amuses me that Nora's thoughts are constantly drawn to Daryl even when he isn't around. Subtle little comments are made on random objects or sights, that Nora somehow manages to twist Daryl into the mix.

I love that you have also added in a little comment on Nora's belongings. It's true that we haven't seen her with any personal possessions. She arrived with none, and left with none. We're forced to wonder how she had lived before she found the Greene farm. We're given a little taste of it when Nora scours an abandoned house, switching her clothes rather than cleaning what she has.

A man and a woman eyed me delightfully, their arms entangled around each other.

This line gives the previous occupants life. Too often, we have abandoned houses that miraculously have available supplies, without thought to who once lived there. The fact that Nora thinks about this plays largely on her old world humanity. She knows it's wrong to take other people's belongings. Even if the owners are long gone. Perhaps it is because her dad was a cop that the guilt rides on her.

I'm surprised she didn't notice the walkers to begin with. Their groans and shuffling should have been a dead giveaway, and Kit had disappeared somewhere for a little while. But then I'm also not surprised that she let her guard down. Though she knows of walkers, we're brought back to the fact that she hasn't had a lot of encounters with them. She probably didn't expect to see a horde of them in a small house and I'm keen to see how she gets herself out of this particular situation on her own.

Oh my gosh, I have no clue on who could be in the car.
I like all the action.

Fireworks:
Once again, you have proven that your story is like no other. Not only was this kiss not the 'heated', 'passionate' or 'sexual tension' type kiss. It turned out completely awkward. And that's absolutely adorable! We know that Nora has never been in a relationship. We don't know about Daryl. It's just so funny how embarrassing this kiss is. It make me wonder if either of them know what to do!

There were no traces of fireworks. No electrical currents. No sparkles.

I know I don't see fireworks or sparkles when I kiss my fiancé. Doesn't mean we're not meant to be. Doesn't mean I don't love him. People are always putting this 'electricity' in first kisses and I don't get it. Do you want to be electrocuted? If you're feeling something along those lines, you should probably stop kissing. And see a doctor.

Dead squirrels. HAHAHAHA! Oh Nora, you never fail to amuse me! Even in her show of affection, she manages to wire something into the moment.

And back to the bickering! Always a source of amusement and I was shocked to see that Daryl had gotten angry. Though I do suppose that such a random act would stun him, and his naturally reaction would be anger. Can you really see Daryl happy and dancing in sunshine and daisies? Still I am surprised he went and called her a slut 0.0

So the moment has finally come when Nora is to leave the group and I wonder what will happen. There's no doubt she has to go back. Else there'd be no point in a Daryl Dixon fan fiction. Question is, when? And why does she return?
