HMM, THESE THINGS COULD SOMEHOW COINCIDE W/ THE FACT THAT OUR HAVEN BBY HAS SUFFERED IN EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES THAT ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR THESE METAPHORS.
