Oh man, things just got intense. Awe, I don't want him to resent her. He should realize there wasn't anything she could have done. I feel so sorry for him. Something tells me she'll be seeing him at school. All of those bruises he'll probably be sporting. He seems like a strong protector of his family (except for his dad, screw that guy). Update soon? :)

I clearly need to check my email more often because I had no idea the first chapter had been rewritten, let alone that two other chapters had been put up!

I'm honestly loving the direction you're taking the story this time. So far it's so different from the past versions and I love every bit of it.
Though, I'm still confused as to who Brent was referring to when he said "‘I want her to stay for dinner. Make her stay!" :/
He also needs to stop being a little shit.

In no way is this a shitty chapter. I'm so glad things went well with the doctor (I knew she wasn't going to be hospitalized again but still, I'm glad ) but the last part of this chapter just made me so sad. How dare that man put his hands on his son like that! Ugh. I wanna hit him myself. And hug that boy. Thanks for the update!

I'm incredibly happy with this story. Your writing is flawless. I can't wait for the next update. Seriously, keep up what you're doing, you're an amazing writer.

Brent is a little damn brat. I mean, I can understand he's hurting, but still. It's not only affecting him. Goodness. At least Brian seems to be nice. Poor girl. Poor Uncle Bri. Good chapter

Whoa, Brent, whoa. That just made me so sad. I mean, I can kind of empathize with him but still. That was harsh. Brian, however, was great. They're meeting was the perfect blend of awkward and friendly. I loved it.

Hey, whatever works for you. You're the writer! Either or, I still felt her pain and discomfort. I wanted to cry for her. If this were real, all I would do is hug her. I would not question her or bring up anything that everyone else would. I would simply hug her and be silent. I feel maybe that's a better way to be there for someone without bringing up painful memories for them. I dunno. I know Mrs. Pritchard was trying to be nice and helpful, but I feel that she really wasn't considering Haylie's feelings. Guess she's never been through a death in the family that really mattered to her. Again, I don't know. I enjoyed this chapter. I just feel for her. Poor girl.

So...I hope you won't be offended when I tell you that I love this first chapter even more than the previous first chapter. I loved that one, but this one...THIS ONE. Even better. It seems to fit better - I don't even know if that makes sense, but that's the only way I can describe it.And I was all for you rewriting until you were happy with it but woman, I am telling you now, if you rewrite and get rid of this one I am going to be so sad!

And can we just talk about Mrs. Pritchard for a second because holy lord, she is ANNOYING. I work with social workers, I've known a handful just like her who are constantly smiling and chipper and trying to turn terrible situations into good ones and I have, on occasion, wanted to shake them senseless. I feel the same with Mrs. Pritchard. So annoying haha and good job with that!

This is glorious. I'm quite excited. I remember my first read through of Crash, AGES ago. It must be amazing going through it now and realizing how much as an author you have changed. Grown, adjusted, all of those things. I love that feeling, I remember it greatly when I went through Live Eternally.

You're already aware, but your number one stalker is on board with this rewrite. ;) I'm excited for your update! Your motivation motivates me. :D

I've always admired your style of writing and this was written beautifully.
The way you're able to capture Haylie's emotions and make me feel as if I'm in her shoes has always boggled my mind.

I am ecstatic to be re-reading this story. I can't say I remember everything about the old, but the name of this story woke something inside of me. It tugged at my heart. Because, I remember the name of this story and I remember how much I loved it. I may not remember anything right now, but when I saw the name of this story, it was just like instinct. I just remember how much I loved this, if any of this is making sense. Just seeing this, just made my whole night. I am so excited for this. Anyways, to move forward of my babbling; I am so sorry for what you have gone through. I can't really BEGIN to imagine how rough that year was for you. I relate just a little to losing my favorite uncle to cardiac arrest years ago. I still ache to this very day about it. He was so young. So, I can say that I imagine that this chapter must have been very hard for you to write. I can tell how much of your feelings relate to this chapter. What you went through. You are an inspiration. You are so strong and I admire you. It's hard to bounce back after a terrible year like that. Just know, I am here for you if you ever need a friend. This re-write is going to shine. I can tell. The way you're pouring your feelings into this, adding the appropriate amount of detail, this story is one that all of us fans will remember for a lifetime. I am excited to read what you bring to the table. Welcome back and we can't wait for more :)
