I have to say that I loved the way you chose to end the story! Of course everybody would want them to be together, but honestly, I'm a sucker for sad endings.

I'm gonna miss this story, I hope you start working on the sequel soon 'cause I can't wait for it!!

I must admit, I'm glad they're going to be apart because it makes for a good come back! ^_^ but the hopeless romantic in me was hoping she'd fall over Gerard as he begged her to stay and it'd all be a happily ever after... but in saying that, that would be so out of character.
But either way, this is a beautifully written story and I think you have done it justice :)
I'm so excited for the sequel!!
Also, I unfortunately have no idea who he is... but his name sounds familiar... I'm thinking Mighty Boosh or hockey player...

Omg yay!!!! I love him so much... but I know exactly what you mean! He is so so so difficult to write about, like, I've tried a few times, and with me being the type who can't seem to find the ability to write something happy it is always next to impossible oh well, we'll see! xx

Awh, that was wonderfully bittersweet. And like, sorta perfect. It woulda been the biggest cop out if she'd decided after Gerard rocked up not to run away and stay with him and live happily ever after... so I'm glad they're miserable? Haha. I mean, I'm glad you stayed true to the vibes of the story. Your intentions to start a movement in the reader and finish it.

OMG YES. I tried writing about him a couple times and could never get there. He's too eclectic for my writing style. Like, how do you write dialogue for that man I thought the other day about writing him into Alice in Wonderland as the Mad Hatter haha. But now seriously, I absolutely adore this story, I love how sad, but also how real it is. Things don't always turn out the way we want them to, and that's life.

I know, it was painful to write, I hate making characters sad... but it was something I wanted to capture, and the romantic message in this story is quite a personal one for me. I'm so glad you've connected to this story, it makes me happy! :)

THIS STORY IS AMAZING

I'm so glad I finally found time to catch up on this again. This whole thing wraps up so wonderfully into itself. Everything makes sense. It never feels like you're writing filler chapters or that Gerard and Elfaine are only being put together just cos.

I thought I knew what was gonna happen and then OH MY things changed. I absolutely love the journey you took us on to discover the truth of it all. And it's depressing as all hell but Gerard's possible attempted suicide fits so well. They can't fix each other and I think that's a positive thing to promote - love doesn't necessarily fix these things. This is no fairytale and I love that.

Okay, I'm commenting as I go.

I just read the end of chapter 22 and I'm scared. They're... She's... he's not going to die or anything is he? D: Please don't let them lose each other... they need each other! D:

I kinda do understand Elfie's reasoning behind it though... I hope it works out for them...

This has been such a big part of me... See, I'm one of those weird people that gets immersed in stories and Elfie and Gerard have become so real to me. Like real people and I wonder about them and now... It's... done...

Wow, I don't even know what to say. This was certainly not the way I expected this story to turn out. This last chapter was great, I had to read it twice, it was so painful and yet perfect, I can only imagine how much it must have cost you to write it. I don't know what to expect next and that's great.
