@ soupy - I'm with you. I could never do a fwb situation. My mind can't disconnect physical and emotional intimacy. And after all the trauma in her life, I don't think Amanda is in any condition to separate the two either. But she's going to try.

Sorry I havent commented in a few days. Life got a little crazy there!!

When Danny left right after sex, I literally yelled. That was so not cool. But I do get that he freaked out a bit and was trying to sort out his own feelings. It is just I felt so badly for Amanda.

Danny did redeem himself by texting her and not letting things fester and get REALLY awkward. But after I read about Amanda's "dry spell", I just felt badly for her all over again. Her emotions are way to close to the surface and her "relationship" (at whatever level it is) with Danny just seems to be tugging at her heartstrings.

I was glad that Danny found a reason to come by and see her, and I appreciate the fact that he addressed his growing feelings for Amanda and the logistics of both their lives, but I just cant see the whole fwb thing working.

Granted there are people who can do fwb - those who can keep the sex on a strictly physical level and have the friendship flourish outside of the bedroom - but they are few and far between. "F**k buddy arrangements probably work better, but I know I personally cant do either. And I dont think Amanda can. And the truth be told, I am not so sure Danny would be able to handle it either.

Maybe slowing things down a bit might be a better option for these two, but now that they have crossed the line once, it is much easier to full into it again.

I agree with @LoveGame that indeed it is a slippery slope. But sliding down the slope could be a whole lotta fun:).

Someone always falls in love with the other...my fwb and I have been together 8 years... 7 in a relationship.... and we live together... and have a dog... and are domestic partners... so... see how well that friends with benefits thing works. ;) I'm glad it worked out in mine and his favors, but, I have had a fwb where one of us liked the other, it turned messy because of feelings, and it ended in heartbreak for someone. It's a slippery slope that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. If there are feelings involved, it makes it even worse (or better depending on who you talk to). Such a conundrum. I may not like real Carcillo, but fiction Carcillo is OK in my books haha.

I'm not a carcillo fan by any stretch but you have me hooked on him with this fic and I haven't been able to get enough of him or the rest of your stories for that matter. Keep up the good work!

I didn't expect that to happen tbh. But every story needs conflict and that was perfect for this story, because they were very cautious of their friendship/crushes... but damn, all those 'wanting to kiss' just... exploded. it was great.

Wow! I have so many feels. I love that they were both in tune with each other to let that happen. They obviously care deeply about one another. And I was a little worried about them just being in the Friendzone. But Danny should have listened to his heart and not his head because Amanda is still so vulnerable.

Needless to say, I can't wait for the next chapter!
