@ Jamie Benn - Poor Danny is stressing over his career in general. That's definitely going to come to a head soon.

@ soupy - Yeah, I think Amanda feels like she needs to go along with the plan if she wants to keep Danny around. And she's constantly afraid that he's going to bow out. Of course, he's a much better guy than that.

Amanda really is in DEEP on this one. And although things seem to be turning around for her, I can help but feel sorry for her - that she has to sublimate her true feelings for Danny.

But it does seem that it is now Amanda's turn to give back to Danny - to be there for him and help him get through his rough patches. I hope that they continue talking in bed - that this "arrangement" doesn't just become about sex.

Because if it does, I dont thing Amanda will be able to ease her psyche by fooling herself that things are more. And it will crush her.

I wish I could recommend this one hundred times. It's so good. I hate waiting a whole day for a new chapter but it's so worth it! The chemistry between the two is undeniable. They both just need to see it! Everyone knows friends with benefits is never JUST fwb.

It's must be so rewarding for Amanda to be able to soothe Danny's soul the way he has for her. The flame of their passion just gets hotter, deeper and sweeter:)

@ soupy - I'd tell you who realizes what's important first, but then I'd give away a lovely, romantic moment in the plot. :-)

Lots of internal struggle for both of these two. Neither are willing to - or maybe able to - admit what is really going on here.
This is not just a physical relationship. There are too many emotions tied up with everything.

It will be interesting to see who realizes things first!

It's nice to know I can count on one of your stories to give me a mid-day pick-me-up. I genuinely hope he falls asleep there and doesn't regret it in the morning. Even if it might lead to the whole feelings thing, it's pretty clear they both want something more--even if they won't yet admit it to themselves

Only on chapter 5 but loving this already! I cannot thank you enough-had such a horrible day and your writing never fails to cheer me up and I'm so thankful for that.

Anyways, love love love how organic their relationship is. Can't wait to keep reading-you are such a talented writer!

@ soupy - Yeah, I think Amanda didn't think she had a choice. She wants Danny to spend time with her, then she needs to agree to FWB. And it couldn't have been *that* hard to agree to sex with a hot guy, right? :-) Thank you for the lovely comments on my writing style and the soundtrack. I'm going to upload a zip file with all the MP3s at the end of the fic. Also, LOVE that Meatloaf song!

Those last few chapters were an extremely hot welcome home present. Phew, I probably shouldn't have been reading while in this airport but I had to find out what happened from where I left off.
I really like the turn this story took. Most people dive right into the intimate stuff between their characters but the way you build up anticipation is incredible. It's been my experience that the friends with benefits generally leads to one or more parties wanting more. I just hope Danny and Amanda are on the same page.

wow that was quite the chapter. It appears that Amanda has made her decision - although I am sure she probably feels that it was never her decision to make. Amanda certainly seems to have been drawn in by Danny and felt powerless to do anything but acquiesce.

You really paint quite a picture with your words. Every phrase, every nuance is so perfectly chosen. And I am really enjoying the sound track. In fact when you opened with Amanda "just offered her throat to the lion", it totally made me think of the Meatloaf song "You Took the words right out of my mouth".......

"On a hot summer night, Would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses"

For the love of God Danny, STAY! On another note, that was hot and amazing :D
