Oh mannnn that cliffhanger! That entire scene is really cool, and aweosmely composed. You're expecting James argue with Audrey, only to find out he's being distant because the wolves have arrived. I really like the new threat of having them around, since they were introduced, it's just a cool and creepy thought that these beasts are out there in the woods, perhaps lurking around the manor each night. It is for this reason (As well as just wanting to see some badass werewolf killing) that I could not wait to see them introduced. I am so excited to see where the next part picks up! You did an amazing job on this story! Mr. Green

Trust me, I feel the same, haha. I get conflicted sometimes when I write this. Guess part of me just wants to keep James to myself, hahahaha!

I can't help but hate Audrey every time she takes Daniel back... Maybe it's just cause I'm a sucker for the bad boys. I will forever hope her and James get together! So excited for the next book. :)

I enjoy reading your comments. Thank you so much for reading and being so active. So book one began in September 2019 and book two ends in January 2021. Overall it's been 15 months, which comes out to 1 year and 3 months,

It almost feels crippling to imagine this safe haven they've had for a few years, is now slowly falling to pieces. It's a scary thought that one of those werewolf beasts could simply climb through the broken windows and attack. Such an action-packed, intense chapter! I cannot wait to read the last update. I never mentioned it before, but I love your layouts. They're always so eery and dark, very fitting. Mr. Green and I had a quick question, which I thought of when Cory was talking about the storm. How many years have they been at the manor now? In my memory, there's been two winters already, but I can't remember haha. Anyways, awesome update! I am so in love with this story, it's insanely good. Keep it up!

Yessss I love this update. I saw the sequel had been posted so before I could do anything else, I was clicking on the link violently just to catch a glimpse of what's in store. I already subbed and reccomended it, all ready for the new updates haha Mr. Green I really like how you had Audrey reunite with Daniel. It wasn't overplayed, it was very realistic, just having them talk it out on the stairs instead of it being dramatic having them outside or somewhere romantic to talk about their relationship. I love how the whole thing came together. Uggghhh I'm so excited to read the next updates, and the next sequel! Awesome work.

Love it! I'm a sucker for 'snuggly-dimple James' scenes haha. I'm curious to see what the future holds now, that ending woo haha I wonder who Audrey's gonna choose?

I like the idea of the wolves. Like a silent threat, they're getting closer. I wonder what will happen when they arrive? I know you'll make it absolutely epic when it comes. Awesome work! This is my absolute favorite post-apocalyptic story of all time. Can't wait to read the next update, don't worry about hurrying, do it in your own time. Mr. Green

Hopefully soon. My husband and I just started the process of buying a house so that's taken up a lot of my free time. I'm hoping to get a chapter out by the weekend and then get back into the routine of posting a chapter a week.

    @ cleopatra.

Thank you! What my plans are with this series (there are going to be 8 books) is have the first chapter to every book begin with a third person perspective of an event that happened to a character separate from the original one. The rest of the book is told in the first person by the main character, Audrey. But I wanted to incorporate how the zombie attacks have affected the other characters separate to them becoming a part of the main group. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I do tend to write a lot, haha.

that was a long ass chapter but i barely recalled the length bc of how wonderfully structured this story is. i love the relationship between the triplets, so you can understand how inappropriate my reaction was when randall was killed - & horribly so. i didn't read the prequel, but it seems that your writing style makes it very easy to read the beginning of the sequel w/ little to no trouble (as i don't know if i'd need previous knowledge for that for future chaps). regardless this was a great read & totally refreshing from the other mainstream zombie stories i've stumbled upon on this site. totally original & wonderful!

Thank you so much for the comments! I'm glad you were able to connect with the story. I definitely am a fan of James, haha. I have plans for beefing up their protection in the next book. I think it's time I make them really struggle! Mmwahaha!

Girrrlll!!! My feels are ALL OVER THE PLACE! Like he kicked her out, now she's back (i shed a few tears).I totally called in the last book about this love triangle before it even happened!!!! I mean oh my god! You have me wrapped around your finger. It's insane. Like I am so into this story that I am picturing everything, so easily. It's like a movie in my brain as I read it. Which is bad when I read it at night, cause then I'm like uhm, *checks out window* like I'm gonna be creeped out at work tomorrow. I work 3am shift. Lol. I wish my mom could read this, she would love it. Anyways. Your description is amazing!!! I really hope she figures out who she wants to be with. I'm so sad James had to witness what he saw. Poor baby. I'm totally team James by the way...and sorta team Daniel, why haven't they set up steaks outside!? Like wodden Spears into the ground!!! They watched the walking dead!!! Come on!! Think! Lol

(I haven't written this much for a story before) well in a while since your last book. Oh, I'm on chapter 36. I can't wait to see what happens!!!!

I haven't read this book in 5 months Shocked
So i had about 20 chapters to read and now there are only 5 chapters left. But fortunately there are 5 more books.
I love that there runner zombies and jumpers and not only the slow ones. I'm curious about the jumpers. Will we see them in this book? or the next one?
    Roman's finally here yay!
I'm not sure when my next comment will be but if you haven't heard from me in a while doesn't mean i left. I'm still here, i still love this book (and James but who doesn't?). Mr. Green

Yes! I am so relieved! The way this chapter is written really makes you second guess things, like how Roman was introduced by Brittany carrying him in, Audrey thought she'd lost her baby, and I was pre-flip out mode haha. Loved the scene between Audrey and James, it was like a precious little moment aside from everything else that was going on, and a rare moment between the two. I love this story so much, amazing update!

I.... I am bawling hahaha I really don't think listening to a playlist of the saddest songs I own while reading this made it any better. There is soooo much action in this chapter it's crazy. That moment when Audrey slipped I was screaming at my computer screen for James to catch her, and reading each line as she fell, you just wince, imagining the horrible sight. She wasn't in great health before the fall, and I'm freaked out to find out what lies ahead for her and the baby. Amazing, tear jerking, scream inducing update! I absolutely cannot wait to read the next one!!
