Haha yeah that would be extremely difficult to cast James, cause like you said he'd have to be like a god. To me how you write him is perfection, obviously not stable boyfriend material but still someone you want to loose a few hours of sleep with every night. I chose junior because he seems supportive and obviously capable but he stays on the fringes and doesn't cause problems, he's sometimes a solution or a fixer. He's an amazing support character without being a cliched support character.

Haha, James is one of those characters where if this thing were to ever become a movie or television series, I'd be terrified to see who they would cast as the actor. I mean, he'd have to be like a god, haha. And I'm surprised you would marry Junior; not that he's a bad choice, I just feel like he's generally overlooked. Cory is just too adorable

Hmm I'd kill Daniel. Marry Junior, he seems like he'd be a good husband. Cory would of been one of my choices because at least that way I'd always be able to laugh but I'd not be able to kill spiders for him since I'm scared of them too and then I'd screw James all day everyday ;)

Awww, thank you! I am so glad that you are enjoying the story. And yes, Cory is fantastic. Sometimes I forget that I created him and I think to myself, "Where does this guy get some of his insane ideas?" And then I'm like, "Oh...he's from my head. So that makes me the weird one." lol

Cory is easily one of my favorite characters of all time he never fails to bring light and humor to any scene haha, loved the spider bit.

This whole story feels seamless, and no matter what's going on, there's always an imminent threat that could take any one of those characters at any time, and it only makes you appreciate each one even more every time they have a moment to shine All these new chapters have been excellent to read!

Thank you! It was a very exhausting process but I'm glad it will be something Landon can look back on. He looks JUST like me as a baby in the Bumblebee costume.

It originally started as only a three book series, but over time my imagination keeps thinking of more things to add. Technically what I had written up to about 5 years ago was what would be book 5 in this revision, but I have changed A LOT. I'm so grateful that you're still here after so long. It means a great deal.

Cory would have to be my book best friend, too. I feel like I'd never be bored, I'd always be laughing. Him being a cadet helps, too, so I'd know I would always be protected, haha.

So a majority of Audrey's personal life is reflective of my own. I do have a sister named Alaina and two brothers named Anthony and Aaron. My dad was a Lieutenant Colonel when I started this 7 years ago (he's now retired). I was living in West Point when I started this series, so yes, a lot of the conversations and narrative is taken from real events in my life.

Wow 10 books for this series that's quite alot, and you already know all the titles.
I can't believe that it's already been 7 years ago when you first started this series and i was reading that version. And now 7 years later i'm stil here.

You know when people claim characters as their book boyfriends? well i'm claiming Cory as my book best friend, he would make one awesome friend.

The part where Audrey and Lainey were talking about their memories in chapter 19 did you make those up or are some of them actually based on real memories?
That kind of makes me wonder if there are things in your books that are based on real events? or is it all made up?

I love Gilmore Girls and now you made me want to watch it again.

And you are so right how can anyone hate Daniel after that, that's was really romantic of him.

I've been in suspense the last coupler days, waiting for a new chapter. I've never logged into Mibba so quick in my life haha. James is such a conflicting character! In ways, I like him more than Daniel, and other times, you want to smack him haha like in this chapter. Not allowing Roman to be in Audrey's wedding? I'll bet that doesn't work out too well for him. When I read the cemetary scene, this song came on shuffle and I realized how much it matched this story, especially the first verse "So long to all my friends, every one of them met tragic ends. With every passing day, I'd be lying if I didn't say I missed them all tonight." The Light Behind Your Eyes.

So excited for Walking Dead! It's been a long six months! My bets are on Abraham, which sucks because I was really getting into his character last season. But regardless of who gets 'lucilled' I'm still so excited for the show to return.

Awesome work on this chapter! I really liked the ending, it almost felt like a 'fuck you' moment from Audrey to James when she radios Daniel to tell him that she's marry him. It's all so sweet! Can't wait to see what lies ahead.

I'm so sad. I'm imagining that the zombies killed our writer. Love this series. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Awesome! Everything is coming together, I just wonder what's gonna happen before the wedding? Seems like a fallout is on the brink for Audrey and Daniel, with him spending so much time with Aaron instead.

I love how the showdown went down! They were literally just minutes from death, and Hannah stepped up just in time, and it makes you proud as a reader, remembering her learning to use a weapon and being terrified of it, and then taking that chance to defend them all. It's unbelievably sad what happened to Wendy and Hannah, but at least Aaron seems to be recovering.

I didn't get the chance to fully recap what I thought about the Skinners in my previous comment. I love how they showed up, it was almost decieving at first. It reminded me of an episode of the Walking Dead, when Aaron shows up, all clean and friendly, offering them a safe haven. I was fooled by Cal's charades, too haha, he seemed so friendly! But once you realize they've hurt one of your own, and not only that, but one of your favorite characters, it's like 'nope. You're done. Someone shoot him'. The way it all unfolds, makes it really uncomfortable and tense to read, like Cal's fucked up 'games'. I cringed so much reading it because of how realistically it was described haha. The whole thing has been great to catch up on! I cannot wait to see what else you've got in store.

Omggg this is killing me. I've never felt so repulsed, yet compelled to read a story haha. I can't believe how much I missed!! You've got the sickening factor on point. Just read about Wendy's death and oh it just makes your stomach churn with the visuals. Can't wait to keep reading this! I'm hopeful that Hannah and Roman are in Lord Sigmund's room, since it was always locked, and it doesn't seem like any of the skinners have noticed it yet. You're such a great writer!!

Thank you! I share a love/hate relationship with Daniel. His character seems to be changing in ways I hadn't expected. It's funny how our writing sometimes takes on a new direction all on its own.

Yay, I'm so glad you're still here! I had a lot of fun with Cal and the Skinners. They weren't in the original version. I felt like it was time to bring in the darker aspects of a zombie apocalypse.

I actually discovered Brock O'Hurn on Instagram. He's really young, like maybe 19 or something. He started out just doing amateur modeling and now he's starting to act. He's really sweet but has the bad boy look I want for James.

I've been up and down with Daniel and Aaron's last name. I really like Kellen, too. I might even change it back. I haven't made a final decision on that.

I just noticed that i haven't even left one comment on this story. my last comment was on Bone & Marrow and that was 3 months ago, so it's about time.
I must admit that i have been a silent reader for quite a while because i did not feel like posting a comment, i know bad me.
So today i've read the last 10 chapters, so i will give you my opinion on that.
Let me begin with telling how much i hated those Skinners, that where some pretty nasty chapters you wrote and you made me want to kill them myself.
I applaud you for writing those chapters. Also i thought Hannah was a very brave girl for shooting Cal.
The part where James sat with Roman and has the zoo book that was so cute i could almost eat them (bad choice of words? haha).
Why did you change Daniel and Aaron's Lastname? i liked Kellen.

I can so see Jai Courtney as Hector. Now you have me picturing him everytime i read the name Hector. I'm glad you decided that Jonathan Rys Meyers didn't fit James, i clicked on the link of Brock O'Hurn since i never heard of him and i agree he's a much better choice.

I'm Not sure when my next comment is going to be, i'm hoping soon but who knows i might be a silent reader for a while. But i'm still here

I love this story. Amazingly well written and the characters are well defined and thought out. James is by far my favourite. Not a fan of Daniel at all but that's just personal preferance. I honestly think it's about time you included some enemies of the human variety. Seems like a more logical thing given the world has completely fallen apart. Can't wait for the next chapter.

That's an interesting question. There's actually only two characters - surprisingly - who I've had a clear image of who I'd want to play them, and that's:

However, none of these perfectly embody the physical description of who I see as playing these characters. Perhaps a different eye color or hair style would be all that's needed for some of these actors and actresses to better portray the characters. It would probably take me several days to perfect a cast list. Hope this helps!

Woo that was tense! When they heard the noises in the bush, I was expecting it to be the sniper, and had a terrible feeling that Cory would die, I'm thankful he didn't, though. but it does make me wonder when the sniper will turn up again.

The wolves seem to be getting closer, and I wonder how long it'll be before one charges. It's a good thing James is stocking up on silver bullets haha. I love this story so much, cannot wait to see what happens next!
