As far as eye contact goes...
It's something always try to achieve and maintain (although, I always end up watching their mouths. It makes me feel like I can hear the speaker better, and it keeps me paying attention to what they're saying). Keeping it says something about your self-confidence; it shows that you're not uncomfortable interacting with people.
My dermatologist never makes eye contact. Her eyes are always shifting around the room. It makes her seem like a timid person.

I have no idea. It may just be because they're interested in the conversation, but it could also be that they like you. Just depends on how they're looking at you, I guess. Hahaha. I just started reading it, and when I saw the first picture on the summary, I was like "Hey, that's the guy who played Jess on Gilmore Girls..." Then I get to the end of Chapter 3 with the singing the theme song part.....hahaha. It made me laugh.
