History went by fine. Other than catching Aster's cold glares but whatever. He's pretty sketchy at the moment and I do not know what the hell his problem is.

I mean really, what crawled up his ass and died?

I felt like skipping algebra which I had next since I didn't feel like dealing with numbers and what not and found my way to the auditorium.

I cocked my head to the right seeing the mic on the stage perfectly like it was calling me. Sure, I like singing. But I doubt I'm any good.

But I was alone so I went up the few steps, plugged inmy, my mom's iPod, turned it on shuffle, and prepared for whatever came on as I stood at the mic.

I opened my eyes to the sound of clapping. I looked down and saw Lucky, a couple other girls, and the vice principal clapping with Aster in the back staring me down again.

"You sing so well, Alice!" Lucky said, coming up to the stage.

"Sing another, Alice!" A brunette girl with her said.

"I dunno..." I said, feeling my cheeks getting warm.

"Alice!" Elena said, coming into the auditorium with Bonnie, Stefan and Caroline at her sides. "That was great."

"Yeah, Alice, sing something else." Caroline added.

"I guess it depends what comes on, I put the songs on shuffle." Just as I said that, Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield came on. And damn, I am good at this one. "Ugh, fine."

"Ugh, fine." Surprise, surprise, [not] Damon already had a mic ready in his hand.

At lunch, Lucky was dying to know what me and Nikki were talking about early. As for Aster..he was still deathlike and I wanted to punch him.

After we all finished eating, Aster led us to an old classroom no one ever uses anymore but to talk in. Surprising he'd know about this [not].

"Okay, so what were you and your cousin talking about earlier?" Lucky asked.

I sighed. "You have to promise me neither of you will tell anyone what I tell you. No one. You can't write it, nothing. No one can know but the people involved and you two."

They looked at each other and nodded. Lucky held out her pinky. "I never break a pinky promise." I smiled and pinky promised with her. Aster sighed and did the same. That surprised me.

"This is all going to be very freaky, but Nikki's not my cousin, first of all."

"Than who is she?" Lucky asked.

"Well...she's kind of a...shape-shifter...she can be a black cat and my mom made sure that her and my uncle Aiden would protect me. She just so happened to have found me first."

"And who's your mom?" Aster asked.

"Kat Sterling." They gasped. "And I'm not as human as you think."

"Why..what do you mean?" Lucky asked, seeming scared slightly.

"Earlier you asked my last name." I directed to Aster. He nodded. "I am Alice Renee Sterling-Salvatore--Vampire Hybrid." What do you know, both of his eyes are blue.
