Locating the Love She Never Had
Felica Matnson
She walked into her new job. She was confident. She called it revenge. She set her things down at her desk. A man walked up to her.
"Agent Derick Morgan," he told her.
"Felica Matnson," she offered.
"The new girl," Morgan responded with a smile.
"I guess."
It was quiet for a moment. The only noises were from the FBI agents.
"Well," Morgan said, "if you need any help with any thing my desk right over there."
He pointed to his desk. She nodded.
"Thank you."
Morgan smiled and walked off like the cool guy he thought he was.
I'm not saying he's not but he's very, eh, full of himself.
Felica turned around and saw him leave. She laughed and shook her head.
"Player," she whispered to herself.
"Yes Sir. Of course," a women said to Agent Hotchner.
Felica sat down in her chair.
It's so nice to be back, she thought. I remember being six and coming here. It is so nice to be back. This building is just as amazing as it was when I was six. The only good memory of my dad. I'm twenty-eight and I only have one good memory of my dad and that was twenty-two years ago. That's very sad. The building has changed but I could pick out somethings that were the same. That's where my dad worked, eh, lived.
Felica smiled.
"Excuse me. Agent Matnson?" Hotch asked.
"Sorry Sir," she said.
"I just want to introduce you to Penelope Garcia. Our expert in technology."
She stood up and shook Garcia's hand.
"So who all have you met so far?" Garcia asked.
"Agent Morgan, Hotchner, and you."
Garcia smiled.
"Alright. Let's go bother JJ."
Felica smiled.
They walked to JJ's office. Garcia knocked on her door quite obnoxiously.
"Come in Garcia," JJ said just loud enough they could hear here.
"JJ," Garcia said opening the door, "this is Agent Matnson."
"Felica,"she said quietly.
"Agent Felica Matnson," Garcia corrected herself.
JJ stood up.
"I'm Agent Jennifer Jareau or JJ. Does Hotch know she's here?"
"Mhm,"Garcia answered.
"Hotch?" Felica asked.
"Agent Hotchner. We call him Hotch." JJ told her.
Felica nodded.
"JJ do we have a case?" Garcia asked.
"Always."
"Looks like we got some work to do."
"Reid's here," JJ offered
"You wanna go meet 'Boy Genius'?" Garcia asked.
Felica laughed quietly.
"Sure," she responded.
