Viviana Cross is the last and least attractive of four sisters to be accepted into Boston University. Much to her dislike, attending this university is a family legacy. Her dormitory roommate Raine becomes her closest friend, and God knows she has need of a friend when she meets the once-famous Mr. John Arthur, the head of the theater department and her drama professor. Viviana is terrible at understanding the feelings of others, and remains oblivious to her beauty and charm, living in the shadows of her prettier sisters. John Arthur is determined to unleash her talent and put her on stage for everyone to see her as he does.
