Fall Out Boy Sets Release Date for New Album

Fall Out Boy Sets Release Date for New Album On Tuesday, August 26, 2008 Fall Out Boy sent an email out, with the subject of 'Fall Out Boy Mixtape and New Album' to anyone on their mailing list. The email stated CitizensFOB Mixtape - Welcome to the New Administration and that there are new songs from Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is..., The Cab, Gym Class Heroes, Tyga, Cobra Starship, Hey Monday, Panic at the Disco, The Hush Sound, A Rocket to the Moon and Four Year Strong. It was also announced that the songs would be available for free download at FriendsOrEnemies. com.

There was a video announcement made on FallOutBoyRock. com, in which the band announces they will be releasing a new album, "Folie a Deux" on November 3rd and 4th, 2008 worldwide. The french title translates, according to lead singer Patrick Stump, to "The shared madness of two".

Fall Out Boy is also taking voting season into account. Their FriendsOrEnemie page now looks like an old-fashioned voting booth, where you can hear various Fueled By Ramen members speak about "Citizens for our Betterment". Their picture on that same page features them dressed nicely, raising their clasped hands with red, white and blue bunting in the background and a small crowd in front. And last but not least: the video in which they announce the new album is set up to be as if they were a candidate making a speech.

What's next, Fall Out Boy for President?
