“Selling out is a term used by fans that are ignorant and don't want to realize that their band has matured past their state of mind.” That’s what my friend Julie said on this whole thing, that’s what I agree with.
Can I meet your friend and personally hug her for saying that?
I too agree with that statement, and with Adam G., and this whole article. All of my favorite bands have changed with each album, and I think it's a great thing. Like Jimmy Eat World, for instance. I've loved them since I was eleven, and I've heard their newest stuff. I'm not particularly fond of it, but I still love them to death. It doesn't make them sell-outs in the least. And if that's what people think, then you're right: all bands are sell-outs, and I could give a shit less. :D
I agree. Avenged has even said many times. That they don't want to have the same album or the same sound. They don't call themselves anything except Avenged sevenfold. Matt tries to scream live but it does take on toll on his voice after a while.
Any MCR well they always have the albums telling stories. Its how they are. They put their experiences in their music look at Helena isn't that dedicated to Gerard and Mikeys deceased grandmother, let her rest in peace, so I agree with you good article.
