Teen Choice Awards 2009

Teen Choice Awards 2009 On August 9th, 2009, in Los Angeles, California, the 10th annual Teen Choice Awards was held. Every year there are people satisfied with the winners, and then of course... The people who aren't.

Some people cease to understand that this awards show is of course, directed by the teenage fans, aged 13-19 (and probably some pop culture crazed adult who lied about their age). So, of course the Jonas Brothers and Twilight are going to win an insane amount of awards. The fans speak!

Twilight raked in a total of 11 awards, Miley Cyrus with 6, and the Jonas Brothers with 5. No surprise there, all teens can agree.

Highlights of the night were Miley's now infamous, racy performance of her new single "Party In The USA", where she danced with shorts that looked more like bikini bottoms, and danced on a stripper pole. Also, there was the cool interactive "Dare The Jonas Brothers", in Joe's words, "The game that's sweeping the nation".

Joe Jonas was stunned when he found out his dare, to cut all his hair off. With that none other than Mr. Mike Tyson came running out to chop off his locks! Then, the oldest brother, Kevin, was to get a tattoo, live, on-stage in front of the crowd, of the next award winners face (which happened to be Hugh Jackman for Wolverine). Kat Von D came out to ink Kevin. Then, the youngest brother with the most "dangerous" dare, was to hug as many female fans as he could in a short amount of time. He was almost successful in hugging them all, but Kim Kardashian latched on to the boy, causing time to run out.

Needless to say, the awards were entertaining. I'm sure most teens can't wait to see the show for 2010!
