The episode title, is a Latin term, translating to “blank slate”, and it gives a way the character development for several characters in the show, particularly Sylar and Emma as they discover their true selves.

Ellen Greene returns as a guest star to her role of Virginia Gray, Ray Park, Dawn Oliveri, Deanne Bray, Ernie Hudson and Mark L. Young also guest star. With Robert Knepper, Zachary Quinto, Masi Oka, Milo Ventimiglia, Jack Coleman and Hayden Panettiere starring in there usual roles.

Now safe in the haven for evolved humans that is the Sullivan Bros. Carnival after his narrow escape from the police, Sylar, under the guidance of carnival leader Samuel, undertakes the journey to discover his true identity. Peter he and Noah Bennet search for a healer to help save the time travelers life after Hiro‘s mysterious visit at the end of the last episode. Whilst Hiro meets Emma and teaches her to both accept and understand her new ability as well as the great possibilities she possesses with it and the amazing goals she can achieve.

The episode is set to air next Monday (the 19th October) on NBC and will be followed by the sixth installment, Strange Attractors.
