onewaytogo and sillychickenxxx, I don't think you read the article. ^_^

Thanks Spurs_fan20.

Glad I helped you definite_darkness.

I wrote this soooo long ago, it's odd to look back at it.

I think it's more about how you define love, and the line between it and lust... but let's not go there.

So what you're saying is they're allowed to be together but they can't have sex like heterosexual people can?
You are absolutely ridiculous.

My personal opinion on this matter is that homosexuality is a sin, but that is by the standard of a non-existant and apparantly "perfect" being. If you are basing your views of homosexals on book with so many contradictions then there is something seriously wrong with you. If you feel so strongly about this issue you should watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReYfDlIa-Z8

There is no possible way I could say that better.

I forgot where in the Bible, but there were men attempting to stone a woman to death for committing adultery, a sin. But Jesus came and told the men that whomever is with out sin may cast the first stone. The men thought about it and then one bye one left. Then Jesus turned the woman saying "Go, and sin no more".

I do believe that being gay is a sin, and I don't encourage it, however I'm not going to cast any 'stones' because of it. I'm not going to turn my head at someone because they have sinned. After all I'm a victim of temptations and am a sinner as well.

I have this theory that the only reason homosexual relations are a sin is because it goes automatically under "lust" since no child can be born from it. However, that makes it the same exact sin as every single heterosexual couple out there. Because I can assure you that almost no one only has sex for a baby anymore. So I'm thinking.... maybe homophobes should just shut the hell up.

After seeing do much argument in this comment pag I'd have so say just one word: Okay.

Thanks for that. I respect you for your opinion. Actually, thanks a lot! Why? I'm kind of being selfish right now and reading the comments back again and again for my term paper this year. lol.

Anyway, yes, about the article... I can't judge any of this. One; I'm a chrisian and a catholic at that, so I'm very biased with my faith. Two; I have friends who are gay and friends who don't like them. Three; I get what you're trying to say and what the point of your article is about.

Some people have said that love is something that should be expressed no matter the gender. It's also true that God made man for woman. I noticed that people who comment here are either people who agree or disagree with you because of the obvious reasons.

Gender does not hinder anyone from loving a person. But note that when it's already coming to a point when there is sex involved witht the same gender it the same as masturbation. We can love and cherish people without excessive touching.

Now besides that I don't think anything is wrong. It's not a sin if you love, I agree. But there are always limits. Whether a person realizes this or not.

I disagree with this.
I'm not saying that you're wrong.

As a bisexual, I see both sides of the argument, but I see the Bible as contradictory to itself. It says that "a man who lays down with another man" [not exactly verbatim, sorry.] shall be stoned to death, yet it also says that you should love thy neighbour. It inadvertently says that falling in love isn't a sin, yet falling in love with someone of the same sex is. But who controls who they fall in love with, or have feelings for? It is impossible to decide who you love.

Most of the arguments Christianity vs. Homosexuality is based on belief if you think being gay is a choice or something your realize that you're actually just naturally attracted to the same sex instead of the opposite sex. Obviously, I believe in the latter.

Besides, I believe that everyone has a soulmate. Why the hell would a gay person have a soulmate of the opposite sex?

You, my friend, are an absolute retard. Im sorry, but it has to be said. I would probably die of old age before i finished explaining to you why your an idiot, but the least i can do is try and sum it up for your obviously .. for lack of a better word, DISABLED mind. Not that i have anything against disabled people, but now i have smething against you.

Here is reason number one.
You said this:
If you are going to argue that homosexuality is right, you have to say that the other rules are void as well. So we would live in a society where inbreeding and bestial sex was passé. My stomach curls at the mere thought, so surely homosexuality cannot be given special permission?
Let me tell it to you now, there are no rules. There was no old guy with a beard that decides what you can and cant do or he wont let you love him. If you want to be gay, then who gives you permission to tell them no? Im not, but i know people who are, and i know people who are gay that are good people, and in no way should you, i, or anyone hold that against them. The prblem i have with your argument, is that your not just a homophobe for the sake of it. Your a homophobe bcause your one of the idiots who rely on 'god' to make their everday decisions. "I'll hate gay people, because god does" pretty much somes it up.

Perhaps it is simply the fact that the world is not perfect, and things go wrong. is another retarded thing you said. Your saying gay people are a mistake? your saying they are somehoe 'imperfect' or 'lesser' to you and the rest of the ''normal''*cough cough* christians that look down on them. I can tell you there are SNAILS with more common sense than you, let alone people who, just because they've decided to be who they are, are looked down upon by the church.

Now, to round up, you stated ...but I am saying that you need to be trying as hard as possible to be good and not to sin.
C'mon.
I thought even YOU (and thats in capitals for a reason) had more sense than that. If your gay, your gay. If your not, your not. If your bi, or in your case CHRISTIAN, jewish, black, whatever, thats just who you are. If we look at what existientialism thinking tells, every moment you spend not doing what you want to and not being who you are, is a moment that take you further away from your own individuality. These 'sinners' shouldnt have to try and be someone else, just because the likes of YOU want them to. People like you shouldn't even be seen, let alone heard.

I don't understand how ANYONE could say that homosexuality is a sin.
Love goes beyond all boundaries, right?
and besides, why should anyone listen to a bunch of old men that wrote a book on how we should live our lives, CLAIMING that some higher being told them exactly what to write.
Sounds like a little too much drugs, eh?

The section of the bible that apparently dooms homosexuals isn't about homosexuals at all... it's about lustful sex.

Men can't have relations with a man... well think for a minute. Relations back then was so much different than it is now. Sex was used to bore kids, not for pleasure like it is today. So any sex that is out of the normal use of sex- outside of the use of bearing kids - is considered an abonination and should only happen between two people that love one another.

The "damning" thing in the bible for homosexuals isn't about CONSENTUAL homosexual sex... it's about lustful sex between men that happened back during the bible times for pleasure.

And I mean, come on, if homosexuality was, is and will forever be so bad why wasn't it just added to the Ten Commandments?

Now remember: Love thy neighbor like yourself IS one of the Ten commandments... any homophobe/ racist/ sexist (anyone that acts (violently or verbally) on his/ her dislike on whatever issue isn't following this commandment. THEY are going against god... we are simply loving. The homophobes, just as an example, are the ones that are hating their neighbor.

God is love. If you find someone you love, I consider you lucky seeing how the world is so screwed up today. I think people are lucky to just find someone to live the rest of their life with- skin color, sexuality, gender, etc, don't apply...

I distinctly remember commenting on this. No?
Well, every time I read this it makes me sick. I will say what I say to everyone, "Believing in God is like having an imaginary friend, I had mine for security, but I had to give mine up when I was six."
