I've been keeping a diray since I was fourteen. Reading back makes me want to get in a time machine and slap my younger self. I guess, I don't write it for me though, I just want people to understand me after I die.

I really want to start a diary, but I don't know where to begin. I think I'll have to buy a beautiful notebook first.

I've been writing in a diary every day for a bit over a year. Even on days that I have nothing to say, I just write the date and close the book. Just as a record that I've lived. I started it to get thoughts out of my head because I figure that once I write them down, they're not there anymore. I think I would kill myself if I found out that anyone had read my older diary. It's really quite scary, the stuff I say in there. I've been making a conscious effort to keep this one a lot... cleaner, I guess? Rather than writing down everything in my brain, I filter. Man, this is long.

I keep a journal, but I don't write every single day, or even every week. Which I should. I write when something important or of significance happens. And if when the journal is done, which is usually around a year, and it was a bad year (mostly negative stuff was recorded, for instance) I just burn the journal as a way of closure.

I keep a diary - a little Moleskine thing - and I write in it whenever I feel the need. It's a way to get things off your chest that you can't really tell other people. I don't think anyone would want to listen to half the bull I write in there anyway.

Just knowing that you did wrong and feeling badly abou it is all there is to do.
You did what you did, there's no going back.
But from your reaction, I'm guessing that you've learned your lesson and will never do anything like it again.
    What more can you do?
Admitting you did it won't solve anything. It could make her think badly of you, or lose some trust in you. But it solves nothing. It doesn't make time go back so you can change it.
Don't say anything, but if she asks, don't lie.
    That's my suggestion.
    Good luck.

I have been keeping a diary since literally I started writing almost. Since I was about seven. I have over ten now, though I didn't start writing in one daily until I was about ten.

I have a diary, but I don't really write in it at weekends unless something really interesting has happened. But I write in it every weekday.

And due to an incident in Year 8 where someone read my diary, I write all the juicy bits in code tehe.

I found my twelve year olds diary. My favourite entry was on the 12th of May where I called this girl I used to go to school with a 'moose' because she 'tried to split me and Layz up!" lmfao

Reading it was damn fun tehe

I had to burn a few of my old ones due to and excessive amount of embarrassment if anyone ever saw them, haha. But I do like to keep them, for the most part. I love reading them. My boyfriend also reads my old ones to have a sense of what my past was like to understand me better, too, just as I have done with some of this old 'little black books.'

I'm keeping one at the minute.
I miss my boyfriend, you see, and it puts everything I feel into perspective when i write it down and it makes me feel better.

Although I HATE reading my old ones. Cringe City.

    I do, sort of. :/
I really want to keep a diary. But I always forget to write, or I just be plain lazy and can't be bothered.
I'm also rather paranoid that people will find it and read it.

I always get diaries and write like a page or two but never keep writing. I just find it pointless, why do I write everything down so others can possibly see it when i can just keep it in my head where it is all private.

^ I suppose it's a kind of outlet, so that a person doesn't always have to keep it in. Like someone to confide in that won't actually tell anyone. Of course, you just need to hide it very well. That's what I used to use my journal for, anyway.

Speaking of it, I don't remember where I put it. Cry I think I know where it is, but I'm not certain. Gosh, I haven't written in it since last year. Sometimes I just don't exactly have the time to write in it as often as I would like to. Or I just put it in private entries on LiveJournal.
I also used to take petals off of roses and other flowers and put them in that journal. I always used to like opening it up and finding rose petals within the pages.

I call it a journal so I don't sound all dorky and babyish.
I had a journal in the 3rd grade-4th grade. Used for about a year. (Still haven't and it's so dumb. All I wrote was like I had a nutella sandwich yay!)

Then in the 6th grade I attempted to make one again, which lasted like 2 days.

Than in the 8th grade i made another one which I actually stuck too for the whole you, I ran out of space in it so I have another one, I've been writing ever since.
