Last night, I had another Lucid dream,

I was at a choir thing with a whole bunch of different schools, and me and my friend were singing, and then a cute scene/emo boy sat beside me, and then when they went to take a picture of the whole group, we kissed :tehe:

I find it odd that my friends and I were talking about this this morning. One of them was saying how she found a site that told her how you can make yourself have lucid dreams. And the first thing is you have to become aware that you are dreaming.

I've had dreams where I know I'm dreaming, but I've never been able to control what was happening in my dreams.

I've had a couple of lucid dreams before.

One, I remember, was supposed to be a nightmare, when in the middle of it, I realize that I'm dreaming. So I decide to finish the dream to see how it ends, and I would wake myself up if things got too creepy.

But most of my lucid dreams, right when I realize that I'm dreaming, I wake up Disgust

Happens to me all the time. I once read a scientific journal which said that it meant your conscious was more in touch with your subconscious and unconscious. As in, the three parts of your personality; the id, ego and something else, I can't remember the name of, were all over-lapping.

Apparently, you can develop the ability through keeping a dream journal, and learning to recognise signs that show you're dreaming. There are universal ones such as sudden shifts in location, time, scenario etc, being able to breath whilst underwater, seeing through your hands/ not being able to focus on them/ having more than four fingers and one thumb, looking at text/ a clock and then away and back again, and seeing a different time. Apparently if you teach your mind that these mean you're dreaming, it'll recognise that you're dreaming when you see them in a dream. Kind of makes sense.

People have individual dream signs as well, and these can be more useful. For example, I often find myself picking coins out of the ground, mainly foreign or unusual ones. Or I find myself searching for a particular item, say a hat, and although there are thousands I can't find the right one. I often get side-tracked into picking up unnecessary items.

Hope this helps. Search YouTube for ReeceJones87 he has some rather outlandish ideas but his basic principles in the learning to lucid dream videos are good.

Sometimes I'm dreaming, and in my dream, I'll be like: "This is just a dream, I can't get excited over it."

Im always very aware of what im dreaming but im not sure if i have ever lucid dreampd.
I did have a series of dreams where i could control people with my mind. I was like a secret agent or a nija or something, but i cant tell if I was actualy doing it, or if my dream self was doing it.

When I can't turn lights on and off in my dream, I know I'm dreaming. I have reoccurring dreams all the time. Weird ones dealing mainly with ancient culture and my fears.

I've had a few lucid dreams before. The last one I had happened after Black Friday, so I was really, really tired. I realized I was dreaming, and a super hot guy was in the dream, so... yeah. tehe

    I figured, why not? XD

I lucid dream... Only when I have a bunch of dreams in clumps though... like dreamed one night, and the next, and so on for like a week. Usually like three or for of those will be lucid, but it's not a sudden "OmiGod I'm dreaming!" thing, but what happens is that something happens that I know someone would have reacted in a different way than the way they did in the dream. (This could just work sense I've never had a dream about anything other than either people I know or fictional characters I've "seen" in my head when reading, or really seen on tv. Therefor I know how they'd react) Shocked

Even though in my dreams rarely anything that happens could happen, and at the time I don't find it weird.

Also I still have to work on not waking up all the way once I've realized it is a dream... Anyone have any tips for that?

^I remember having problems not waking up once I figure out it's a dream. I used to just stand still for a moment, like stop, and focus on things that were going on in the dream. Usually, after that things would go on normally. But I think it comes more with practice and is an individual thing how you deal with it.

Also, I think that the times I did wake up once I figured out it was a dream, it was mostly due to my fear of waking up.

I sometimes do this. I didn't even know there was a name for it.
But it only ever happens when I'm having a good dream, when I'm having a bad dream, I'm convinced it's real D:

I actually really look forward to sleeping, because my dreams are usually the best part of my day.

But surely if you're lucid dreaming you can make your dream self wake up and do something cool, or interesting.

Drank really seems to help induce lucid or vivid dreaming, since it's made to relax you/help you sleep, but is also full of B vitamins that stimulate your mind.

I've had a few lucid dreams, and really dig this concept. I mean, we wate so much time sleeping, we may as well be able to do something with it, yeah?

I either lucid dream, or I don't dream at all.

    I'm weird.
    Same.
Except you do dream, your just probably aren't aware of it.
Last night i had a dream and i was able to do everything i wanted in it.
    Pretty creepy....
It's odd when i have dreams like these, especially if theres a hot guy in it xP
Sometimes though, dreams i have frustrate me,because it's like yyour imagination showing oyu what your life could be like. It's complicated.

Has happened to me a few times, some were with good dreams, some were with bad. I remember in a dream someone was after me with an axe o.o, so I got scared and said 'Okay now I have to wake up lol' XD. Or for some reason, when I dream about my dead grandfather, I always know I'm dreaming =S

The most awesome dreams though are the ones that I know I'm dreaming and I am flying. Best. Feeling. In. The. World. =D
