I'm not too bad. I'm in my church choir and my high school's madrigal choir. I usually sing soprano, but I will probably switch over and sing alto in madrigals due to our lack of this semester.

I am also an avid fan of singing in the shower.

I've really got into singing over the past few years, and I actually think I'm sort of okay at it. tehe I used to have no confidence whatsoever, but I joined a singing club kinda thing a few months ago, and I sang my first ever solo last week! It was only in front of about five other people, but it was still freaking scary, but kinda fun too.
Only problem is, my singing club is doing a performance in about a week's time, and I'm singing a solo. Cheese I have no idea how the hell I'm going to do it, and I'm really nervous now just thinking about it! So does anyone have some tips or something to help me out?

I do sing in a choir, ( Well If 4 people are considered a choir) we work in hotels and stuff y'know, its pretty fun, other than the fact that I get scared when I do solos xD
Okay. Im writing pointlessly I guess so yeah x3 <3

Heyy, I know exactly how you feel, I felt the same way when I had my frist solo.
Im telling dont worry Im sure you'll do great!
And well my tip for you is:
Either look at someone you know ( Brother, sister, best friend..) In the crowd, or look at some distant place and you wont be so tense while you sing
Other than that Im sure you'll do fine, and trust me the second you start singing your first line you will fell better and continue without bein scared
Well anyways, good luck and enjoy it! Very Happy

I've been singing my entire life:] anyone who hears me for the first time, thinks I'm amazing, but if you've known me long, you think its annoying cause its all I do.. lol.
I've been in 2 honor choirs, both in middle school. I tried out for the HS swing choir, and I didn't make it :/ I'm a mediocre dancer lol:] but I sing everywhere I go... I'd like preforming arts to be my profession.. and if that doesn't work out, I have a huge list of things that I want to be:] but I'm not one of "the best" :/ there are three girls in my grade, that are quite a bit better than me. One of them flaunts it.. although shes 3rd of the 3 best. Stupid Kayleah anyway. She thinks she's all that with her overused vibrato. Disgust

It's basically my life. All I do is sing. I've had some solos and was for a while in the school choir before I left the country, I've been told I'm very good. I want to have it as a career, I can barely see myself doing anything else.

I starting singing in Choir in either first or second grade. I continued on until I was in eighth. I love singing and most of the time I know lyrics to a song before they're even sang (sung?) whether I've heard the next lyric. I don't sing in front of people anymore though. Too much criticism.

I love to sing. I've never had lessons and I'm not technical or anything but I adore it. It's all I do.
Are we allowed to post songs here? I wanna hear peoples!

    Redemption Song
    Worst of Me

Worst of Me is just a song I quickly wrote and recorded so I didn't forget it so it isn't good quality at all and there are mistakes XD I should really redo it.

I wanna hear your voices! =]

I'm a singer. Aside from writing, it's my passion. I have choir three days a week and I enjoy it immensely.

Ninth grade was my first year singing in a choir. I didn't really like it at first, since I didn't think I was very good at it. However, with some gentle nudging from my choir director, I gradually got better, and am now confident enough with my voice to audition for solos. I plan on entering a huge state-wide choral festival as a soloist and I may be doing a solo at our upcoming holiday concert. (I find out tomorrow whether or not I got it...wish me luck!)

I love singing. I have since I was very young. I used to sing solos at my church when I was little.
Now I like singing badly around people and I try to sing nicely to myself.

    Thread Revival!

    I love to sing! Wow
Anyone watch New Girl? Y'know the whole singing instead of talking thing she does? Hah, I do that too! XD
Whenever someone says something that reminds me of a song, I'll start singing that song.
This happened just yesterday: My dad says to me, "No, I can see clearly, unlike you."
So I began to sing, "I can see clearly, now the rain has gone..."
    Lol. You get the point.
I can only sing in front of certain people though because I'm not like the best singer of all time or anything, so I get self-conscious. Sorry
Oh also, I'm working on my singing because for my little sister's 16 birthday, I'm going to sing Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder to her.
Of course I'm going to switch up a few words so it fits better because I'll be singing to my sister, not my daughter.
It's going to be a surprise though. ::secret:
But I've got 3 years to work on it so it should be okay. tehe

I absolutely love singing! I know that I'm not all that great, but sometimes I have my moments haha. Any time I get a song in my head I randomly start up and just can't stop! It's one of my most favorite things to do.

Oo, I love to sing! I was in choir mostly through high school, but they did a lot more Renaissance pieces than I would've liked--as in, 98% of the song selection was Renaissance. I'm usually a 2nd soprano, and I get nervous with the higher notes. My choir teacher hated me, but I stuck with choir for the most part. Now, I just remain a shower singer! Yay! Haha, next year in college I'll be in the choir and am hoping for some better pieces.

I love singing. It's a way to express yourself, to bring your inside out through your voice. Well, to me anyway. To me, singing is an art. It's beautiful. No matter what genre or anything, but from who gives it feeling.

[really not a singer but] I love singing so much. Singing in the car is one of the most wonderful things, and the only reason, really, that I want to drive at all. The other day I was out with friends and started serenading one with Mary Poppins' lines from Jolly Holiday - another friend was saying, "I've never heard Ash sing before. Have any of you every heard her sing before? She's singing!" (We'd had a lot of cocktails with dinner.) I don't like my voice, though - I have a lisp - so I am reluctant to speak, let alone sing. But singing in an accent makes it seem like someone else's voice, so is easier.

I'm a vocal major with dreams of being a choir, so singing's kind of my jam. I'm a soprano (my voice is still developing but probably a coloratura), but the department told me at my last departmental that the fate of the alto section was "soon to be on (my) shoulders" as far as the choirs were concerned. Unsure

There's never any point in the day where I'm NOT singing- I just can't help myself. I make up songs about what I'm doing, I sing along to the radio, I indulge my coworkers requests to practice my arias in front of them...but I always choke up at departmentals. Twitch

I've always wanted to be a singer, even though I'm so terrible at it that it's not even funny. :/ But I do have one question that's been nagging in my mind: How many people sing with vibrato? In case you don't know, it's repetitive sound that comes out from somewhere in your body when you hold a note. x) And for those of you who do sing with that--does that come naturally when holding a note, or do you kind of have to force and make those repetitive sounds?
