He watched her to make sure she got into her house all right. When he saw the door close he waited a for a few more minutes before he pulled away and headed home.
Jake discussed the rest of the party details with his friends before he turned towards Zoe. "So, tonight is the party. You can show up whenever, but people normally show up around eight or nine," he told her.
She blushed slightly and run her hand through her hair. She leaned back and watched as two boys started getting into a fight. She chuckled and shook her head.
Jake set the Little Debbie Cake down and stood up. He walked over to the guys fighting and pulled one off of the other. One of his other friends had the other guy in a hold as well. "Cut it out. If you want to fight do it off school grounds," he growled at the guy he was holding back.
The two guys huffed in annoyance and Jake let one of them go. His friend did the same and they went back to the table to sit down. Jake had gotten into his share of fights awhile back, but he quickly learned that it was pointless to continue fighting with others.
He nodded. "I'll meet you outside on the steps then. Do you just want to come straight to my house?" he wondered. He figured it'd save her a trip if she wanted.
