Xhex snorted, "As if I'd be so selfless. This collar hurts pretty much all day long." He shook his head, "And why was I feeding from her? Don't get me wrong, I much prefer that over bags, but I know the laws. So why haven't you arrested me yet?" He ran his fingers through his hair, not believing that he was having this conversation. Still... there did seem to be quite the gap in his memory... a gap he could almost physically feel, "We told everyone? What kind of suicidal tendencies does this new me have?"

King chuckled a bit. "Listen there is bit much thought in love first of all. Secondly it seems everyone here has some kind of death wish because we let the two of you go through with it. You are that selfish now and you knew you won't have it on for long. I bet you were about two weeks away from being able to remove it but now things are a bit different. And lastly you were drinking from her because you can't drink bag blood anymore. Can't get the stuff down and it is now affecting you in a negative way. And you're not arrested because not only did I just find out about that a few hours ago but she gave permission for it and you are...were going to be my son-in-law. Now who knows what's going to happen with your memory shot the way it is but oh well."

Xhex's eyes narrowed on the King, "Well you seem particularly heart broken not that you know your daughter's fiance doesn't remember her." He snorted, "Sounds to me like you may have been behind all this." He smirked, "I'm sure it was grating to know that Elizabeth chose to marry a vampire, let alone the son of your enemies." He chuckled, "Hell, this all does kind of sound like something I'd do... pretend to love your daughter, marry her, then take your kingdom out from under you."

"Not behind this. You know before getting hit in the head you were a fine kid. I would have had no problems with you except that you're vmpire. It's causing all sorts of problems and they're not your fault but they're still big problems." The King told him. "Anyways I know you didn't have some big plan before all of this. Besides its ensured that you won't get the kingdom if something happens to us. Plus you made it pretty clear that you don't want it."

Xhex snorted, "Yeah. Right." He shook his head, "Look, what I really want to know is what you plan on doing with me now? If I'm truly not in trouble for feeding from your daughter - and you're not setting me up - then what's going to happen next?" He smirked at him, "You just gonna let me go, let by-gones be by-gones?"

The king looked at Xhx with slight amusement. "You can't really think that you can just leave. W're you not listening to a word I said? The world now thinks that you and Elizabeth are in love and are making it work-despite the odds. If you two suddenly stop seeing each it would cause some major problems and people will think that you were brain washing her. On top of that what if you do something reckless? Besides there is still a chance you'll get your memory back. But until then you are stuck here with us. So instead we will try and think of a different solution. The world can not know what is going on."

Xhex stared at the King, "Are you insane?" He snarled, "You want me to pretend that I love your daughter on the chance that my memory will return?" She shook his head, "You're certifiable. Absolutely certifiable. And how will your daughter take this? If you're right then me pretending will cause her more pain than me just leaving. You're willing to do that to her?"

"Just for the time being until a real solution is created. The two of you can't suddenly break up and I can't let you just roam around either." The King said before shaking his head a bit. He knew that this would hurt Elizabeth but it was the only plan that he had at the moment. "Besides if your memory does return then you'll be pissed that I messed both of your chances up. So this is the way it will be unless you have a better idea."

Xhex shook his head, "As if I have a choice." He glared at the King, "You have a control collar on me." He crossed his arms on his chest, "You should ask your daughter if she's okay with this first, though, before you make all these decisions."

@ Jaguar's Heart

"I will talk to her about this. Don't you worry about that. And you're wrong. The collar may be on you but you still have the chance to change my mind. And the. You have the choice to either follow along nicely or be forced to do it. Anyways I much rather work with you than use the collar against you." The King said. "Get some rest for know. Maybe you'll get your memory back." He said before leaving the room.

Xhex glared at the King, his fists clenching at his sides, as the man left. A choice? He didn't have a choice. It was either go along with them or be shocked into compliance. He growled and began pacing the room, trying to come up with a way out of this... but there was nothing. Nothing he could do but following willingly... of by force.

It was a two hours later until someone new came into the room. This time it was Elizabeth. She had large puffy eyes-clearly had been crying for a while. In her eyes was a mixture of saddness and fear. She closed the door behind her and began to fiddle with the remote in her hands. "Xhex?" Elizabeth said softly.

Xhex turned to the girl as she entered the room, taking in her red eyes and tired face, "You much be the princess," He said, gaze landing on the remote. His jaw clenched and his body tensed, his hands fisting in fury, "Look, I'm sorry about this, but I don't remember a damn thing. In fact, I think you're all off your rockers for even suggesting any of this is possible."

Elizabeth looked sicker after he started talking. She looked at him. It was the same body but not the same man. It killed her to see him like this. It killed her that he didn't remember her. "I..." Suddenly Elizabeth turned and just left the room.
After 30 minutes later Elizabeth came back but with a few things in her hands. She set her computer down and pulled up a few videos and started one. The first video was mute and in black and white. It was from the cameras at the ball that was hosted for her. It was the video of the two of them dancing- he was wearing a mask.

Xhex hadn't expected Elizabeth to return and when she did he watched her in silence, not moving closer until the video began to play. He didn't say anything until it was over, then shook his head, "I get what you're trying to do... but that could be anyone. Sure, he seems to be about the same height which is ginormous for humans... but that mask could be hiding a different face."

Elizabeth gave him a small nod before moving onto the next video that she had. She knew that he would say that about the dance. But each video had time between them and that was one of the points that he had to understand. The second video was at a random news conference her parents were speaking at. She was behind them and Xhex stayed behind her. Just standing there. No contact what so ever. The third video was Xhex's meant to be execution where he saved the Princess of France and she ran down to him. The last video was of their news conference where they announced their relationship.

Xhex watched all the videos in silence before sighing again and turning to her when they were done, "I know what you're trying to do here, but it hasn't worked. Sure, now your story is more believable... but I don't remember any of it." He shrugged, "I'm sorry that this is hurting you, but I feel like lying to you would hurt more."

"I don't want you to lie to me if you can remember or not." Elizabeth told him quietly. "And as much as I want you to remember right now I would take just you believing that this happened. That we're not lying to you about the two years." She let out a small sigh. "Do you believe me now?"

Xhex looked back at the computer, eying it a bit, "You did bring some good evidence," He said softly, before turning to meet her gaze, "But that is also a lot of public stuff... how did you fee about the relationship? Was it all just for show... or did you have deeper feelings?" His brow lifted, "Would you be willing to kiss me, even knowing I don't remember you?" It wasn't that he wanted her to or would force her to, but he just wanted to know.

"It was never for show." Elizabeth told him softly. "We didn't do this for others. It was never about anything more than each other. I love you more than you can understand right now. You are my soulmate-even if you don't remember me at the moment." She paused for a moment before moving onto the next topic. "And would I still kiss you? I would at least once." Maybe dhe was a little crazy but Elizabeth thought that maybe....maybe he would begin to remember her with a kiss. But of course this wasn't a Disney Movie...
