The Revolution

Xhex followed her up, reaching out and opening the door to the room. He stepped in, taking in the rather large and bright space. He walked around, more happy that there was a comfy bed and books then anything else. He turned back to her as he stood by the foot of the bed, "You said it was close to your room. Where is that?"

Elizabeth was a little surprised that he already forgot where her room was but either way she walked out of his room. She basically went diagonal across the hall to her room. "I'm just across the hall." Elizabeth told him as she opened the door. "I'm going to head to bed now. You should do the same."

((Forgot he'd been in her room. My bad. And sorry, work))

Xhex nodded, standing next to her at her door, "Sleep well. Sometime tomorrow I want to head back to that house and start rebuilding and cleaning." He smiled, "You may want to bring a book or something since it may take me a while." he nodded to her before walking back to her room, "I'll be sure to have your breakfast ready for you, Mistress."

"Good night." Elizabeth said softly before closing her door. She then dressed into her Pjs before slipping into the bed. Once there it didn't take her long to fall straight asleep. Elizabeth felt like it had been a long and exhausting day. In the morning while Elizabeth was still asleep, another salve walked into Xhex's room, laying his new clothes down on the chair.

Xhex had struggled to fall asleep. He never slept easily in new places. By the time the servant entered his room he'd had about three hours of sleep total. It didn't help that he was a light sleeper and snapped awake wen the servant entered. They stared at each other for a good three minutes before the other vampire slowly backed out of the room. With a sigh Xhex stood and dressed, then made his way down to the kitchen. He was up an hour earlier then he needed to be, but he figured he'd just get started on Elizabeth's food.

The cook was just walking into the kitchen as Xhex was getting inside. He looked over at Xhex interesting before raising an eyebrow. "What areyoudoung in here already?" He asked, wondering why a freaking vampire was in his kitchen. He was used to them being in there but not so early in the morning. "If you're hungry you're going to have to wait.

Xhex turned to the cook, eyeing the man before shrugging, "Couldn't sleep. Figured I'd wash dishes or something, maybe get started on Miss Elizabeth's breakfast." He nodded to the man, "If you would rather me leave, though, I can."

The cook was even more shocked by his answer, but it was better than what he orginally thought. "All of the dishes are wash. Though sit down now, I might have something for you to do in a few minutes." He then began to pull food out. "Do you know how to cook?"

"Not a lot," Xhex answered as he sat at the counter, "Nothing fancy, really, though I like to think I can make a mean breaded baked chicken." He grinned at the cook, "But when it comes to breakfast I'm stuck with just eggs and bacon really."

The cook looked at the time, trying to figure out how long it would take to make eggs. He didn't want cold food being brought up to the princess. He then nodded to Xhex. "Go ahead and make the eggs. Once your done it should be time for you to head up to her room anyways." He gave Xhex the things he needed.

Xhex nodded at the cook, "Thanks," then got to work, making sure to stay out of the guy's way. He sizzled the bacon and once that was done cooked the eggs in the bacon grease. He put the food on a plate, the plate on a tray, then added bottles of different seasonings for her and a glass of orange juice. That done he made his way to Elizabeth's bedroom, knocking on her door, "Miss Elizabeth?"

"Just one moment." Elizabeth called out as she slipped out of the bed. She stretched out, grabbing her robe and slipping it on. Elizabeth then went to the door, opening it for Xhex. "Please set it on the table." There was a small table on the side of the room with two chairs. It was besides the window so she could look outside as she ate.

Xhex walked into her room, setting the tray down where she'd commanded and turned to her, "Am I late?" He asked, wondering if he had done anything wrong. From the way the cook had been surprised... Xhex assumed he had. His gaze shifted to the food, "I hope you don't mind eggs and bacon..."

Elizabeth shook her head as she sat down at the table. "No you are not late and I like bacon and eggs. Why do you ask? The chef knows and cooks my food." She laid the napkin on her lap before picking up her fork and knife. "Please sit down." Elizabeth nodded to the seat across from her.

Xhex silently sat, deciding not to tell her he was the one who, in fact, had made her breakfast. She probably wouldn't care as long as it was delicious and not poisoned. Still, he watched her as she ate, making sure the food was to her taste. He didn't know if she preferred conversation or silence, didn't know if she wanted him to look down or away. So he just sat there, watching her, keeping his thoughts to himself.

Elizabeth ate half of her food before she began to actually speak. "So you tell me." She said before glancing over at him. "What do you expect to happen today?" She knew that Xhex was new here so he wouldn't know. So she was rather curious to know just what he thought she did do all day. Plus she hoped he knew that whatever she was doing he would have to come along.

Xhex shrugged, "Well, I don't really know." he frowned in thought, "I'm a slave, remember? But if I have to guess, a lot of reading in the library, a lot of walking the gardens, with a bit of volunteer work and club meetings." he studied her, "Am I close?" he asked blandly, assuming he'd have a day full of girly nonsense to survive through.

Elizabeth laughed softly at what he thought her day should look like. "Maybe for other girls but not for me. We have some interesting things to do today. First I have dance lessons in the grand hall. I know them but it is to make sure I keep my skills up. Xhex, do you know how to dance?" Elizabeth actually needed a dance partner for when her teacher wanted to watch how she did from afar.

Xhex's gaze narrowed a bit on hers at the question. He actually knew an array of dances, Salsa being his favorite, but he didn't think she should know that, "I learn quick enough," he said instead, hoping she'd just assume he couldn't, "What do they expect you to know?"
