2,500 tons of awesome

"Some bar in the city, I'm assuming." Hermann replied unhelpfully.

"Should put a tracker on him," Chuck muttered, mainly under his breath to himself.

"Might be advisable," Hermann replied. "If it helps he usually hangs around in the same bar. He has a loyalty card for it."

Chuck looked back at Hermann at that.
"Oh yeah? Which one?"

"I don't pay that much attention to him," Hermann reminded Chuck. "Check his email, he's probably attached to some mailing list for them." He motioned to Newt's tablet lying on his desk.

Chuck gingerly picked up the tablet and opened his email client. He tried to scan the subjects quickly, feeling like he was prying into something he shouldn't. Luckily one of the top emails was from a bar he recognised, so he set the tablet doen and thanked Hermann, before hurrying out of the room.

Newt was still in the bar, just casually getting wrecked.

Chuck eventually found the bar and wandered around looking for Newt.

Newt spotted Chuck and stumbled out of his seat to get to him. He managed to stay upright for all of thirty seconds.

Chuck grabbed Newt's shoulders before he could fall over.
"How much have you had to drink?"

"A few," Newt told him.

Chuck helped him back to his seat, before sitting down next to him and ordering a beer. He figured he would not drink much and keep an eye on Newt, especially as Striker was on call and Herc had been very angry the last time he'd got drunk whilst on call.

Wasn't Newt meant to get a concussion at somepoint? I FEEL LIKE THAT WAS A THING.

Newt ordered himself another double vodka.

I have no idea.

Chuck sipped at his drink, before eventually asking, "How are you feeling?"

Newt shrugged. Hermann had probably pissed him off earlier.

"Tendo, man. Shit," Chuck exhaled after a while. He couldn't imagine what it would feel like to be in Tendo's situation and he never wanted to be, but he felt like there should be something he could do to help.

"Hmmm," Newt muttered by way of agreement. "Sucks to be him."

(Someone should spike one of their drinks for some drama. Maybe the kidnappers trying again?)

Chuck drank some more and watched Newt out of the corner of his eye.

Newt finished his drink and forced himself up onto his feet. "Got to pee," he mumbled as he turned towards the toilets.

Chuck knew Newt wouldn't appreciate him helping him, so he just kept an eye on him as he crossed the room, just in case he fell over or something. When he looked back at the bar, a young woman had sat in Newt's seat. She smiled and asked if he wanted a drink, obviously having recognised him.
"No, thanks," Chuck replied, "I'm here with ..a friend."
