Mariska smiled, "I could help you out." she said. "Perhaps you should eat at one of the best restaurant in town before you judge." She teased. "They probably just started serving lunch if you are interested." She said as she stood up, throwing her cup away.

"I'm starving." he stood up, throwing his still full cup of coffee away. He noticed the stain on his shirt, remembering there was no maid to remove of it. Sighing, he followed her out of the door hoping the restaurant food was half as good as the chef's was.

Mariska walked into the restaurant and got them a seat. She opened her menu then looked at him. He seemed as if he wasn't use to this kind of place,"Everything okay?" She asked him, softly. Though she understood if this was different from the country he was from. Which she still had yet to ask about.

He observed the menu. The booth they were sitting in was small. He had been to restaurants before, but they were all formal dinners his family attended, "Everything's fine.. I just don't know what to order." he frowned, scanning the menu again.

MAriska smiled, "So where are you from?" She asked. She looked over his menu then pointed out one of the meals, "That one is pretty good." She said. She looked over at the waitress that walked by then back at him for a few moments. She hoped she could get him use to things.

"England." he replied mutuall. Leaning back, he watched her point and smiling in gratitude for her. He never really got a good look at her facial features, but he noticed the long flow of brown on her shoulders and gentle eyes that he had already admired at the coffee shop. "Shall we order that, then?"

Mariska nodded, "Sure." She said. Once the waitress returned she ordered their food. "So do you miss England?" She asked as she took a sip of her drink. She was pretty curious to know more about him. He seemed so mysterious and she liked that.

"A lot. It is interesting, but weird here." he glanced at his surroundings. "And my apartment is very small. AND, I have to do everything myself." he laughed, curious at how angry his father would have been at him for complaining. "How about you?" he asked, wanting to take the spotlight off of his past. She couldn't know. "Do you ever want to lift up and leave?"

Mariska nodded, "Sometimes." She said, "I went to Spain once and that was fun." She said. She did like her home town but sometimes she just wanted to pack up and leave for a long time. Mariska smiled when their food came then took a bite of her food.

He took a bite with her, his eyes lighting up in delight. Thankfully, it had been better then the coffee they had earlier. "Hmm, what is this?" he asked, grabbing another forkful. "It's great, thank you." he smiled at her, the smile he usually reserved for formal occasions or when the paparazzi were following.

Mariska smiled, "It's chicken caccitore." She said. She took a bite of her food, and then took a sip of her drink. "See not everything is horrible here." She teased. She was glad that she had found something that he liked. After they finished their food she leaned back against the booth and sighed.

"Good point." he replied, taking another bite. When they finished, he too was slouched against the booth feeling a ridiculous amount of bloated. He used to have a nutritionist, who would monitor what he ate. James was actually starting to enjoy the freedom. "Say, it's getting late. I have a meeting to attend, can't miss it for the world." he flashed her his charming smile. "But - I'd love to see more of this place some other time. Really, I could use a few lessons from a teacher." he took his words as if asking for a tutor instead of asking for a women's number, which supposedly here according to his research was interest in a relationship.

Mariska stood up with him after they paid, "Well i wouldn't mind showing you around some more." She said. She wrote down her number then handed it to him. "Feel free to call me anytime." She said. "It was nice meeting you James." She said. She walked out with him then they went their separate ways. She smiled as she walked to her apartment building. She walked into her apartment then started to get ready for bed.

"Okay, it was nice meeting you Mariska." he accepted the paper and put it into his pocket. He was about to reach into her and peck her cheeks, forgetting it wasn't England anymore. He would have to go home and change his shirt before he went to work, office work to "fit in" and be normal. He wasn't excited, but he would have to get a job to avoid suspicious.

Mariska woke up the next morning and headed to the school. She spent the day teaching and sighed as she walked to her car after work. Mariska walked into the coffee shop then stood in line and waited for her turn. She seemed to be stuck in a routine.

After it was official and he had gotten his job, he decided he would have to stop by the supermarket and grab some vegetables and do whatever the maid did. It wasn't far from the place he and Mariska had been to yesterday, but there was a right turn after the restaurant. He walked past the coffee shop, seeing that long flow of brunette and thinking "no way, it couldn't be her" and walking to the restaurant. When he got inside, he ordered a water and chicken caccitore. It was delicious, of course.

Mariska got her coffee then walked down the street and headed to her apartment. She was planning to order chinese and stay home for the night. So she picked up her food then walked down the street towards her apartment.

He was chewing, admiring the new town he would have to call home for a while. That was when a head of brown hair appeared in his view. He recognized the small button nose and gentle eyes. Standing up, he waved his arms and smiled looking ridiculous in the restaurant.

Mariska smiled as seh saw him. She walked in, "Hey." She said, sitting down with her food. "I see that you really liked this place." She teased. She was glad that he was happy to see her. She also thought that James was extremely attractive so it was a bonus of seeing him.

"Hi Mariska, pleasure seeing you again." he pulled her into a friendly hug, holding both of her shoulders and leaning in to kiss both of her cheeks like the french did. It was traditional in his family, but from the weird looks he received it obviously wasn't normal here. So he let her go and sat back down. "Well, I've never cooked in my life. I thought I'd come back." his smile was warming when he looked at her.
