Searching For A Soul Mate.. [closed]

Mariska looked at him, "You've never cooked in your life?" She asked. She laughed softly, "I just don't cook because i hate how much time it takes." She said. She looked at the food in front of her, "So it's Chinese food and movies for this chick tonight." She said. She loved his voice and the feeling he gave her when he hugged her was electric. She couldn't wait to see where things went with them.

"Nope, never." he was about to tell her it was because he had a maid, but he couldn't. "That's what moms are for!" his face reddened significantly at his words, shocked he had said them.. Embarrassed, he grabbed the napkin and coughed, wiping his mouth so he wouldn't have to look at her. That was just about the worst cover-up he could think of. "Hm, that does sound nice. What movie?" he asked, curious.

Mariska shrugged, "I'm not sure yet i was just going to raid netflix." She said. She tapped her fingers on the table as she watched the people leave then looked back at him. Mariska smiled as she ran her fingers through her hair.

"Oh, Netflix." he said, actually familiar with something around here. He grabbed his fork and started poking at his food. "Well, I hope you have fun." he took a sip of his water very politely, setting it back down before making a fist in his hand and coughing into it. He watched her twirl her hair, thinking it was attractive.

Mariska looked at him, "You're welcome to join me if you want." She said as she leaned back against her seat. She really didn't like being at home alone. Especially in her apartment building. Some of the guys were pretty creepy.

"Would I?" he asked, thrilled. He'd never done anything like it before. "Show me the way." he left his food, leaving a twenty and a five, way to much for just a meal but it didn't seem enough to him. He followed her out, excited.

Mariska smiled then walked out with him. She unlocked her door once they got to her apartment then stepped inside. She shut the door, then locked it. Mariska got her food then sat on the couch next to him and started going through netflix.

He had his legs lightly spread, his hands linked in between them. And he thought his apartment was small - but he didn't comment. He looked around in awe, it was truly different here. He wasn't sure how he felt about wearing the shorts and polo shirt he was wearing.

Mariska looked at him, "Do you want something to drink?" She asked. She could tell he was nervous and she didn't want to make him feel weird. She opened her food then started to eat. Mariska liked not having to spend time alone in her apartment.

"Sure, water is fine." he replied, bouncing his knee on the couch. It was quiet, but tidy and cozy here. He watched her eat, thinking hos strange it was that they ate... Well, here.

Mariska. set her food down then got him something to drink. She handed it to him then sat down and started to movie as she ate.

He took a sip, and laid back on the couch. The screen sure was small. "Thank you for having me over." he grinned at her through the theme music.

Mariska nodded, "No problem." She said then started to eat. Once she was finished she threw her things away.

His eyes followed her, then back at the screen. "I'm starting to like it here." he said after a while, stirring up some conversation. "It's not what I'm uh... Used to." his accent was thick in those words, clearly defining he wasn't from here.

Mariska looked at him, "Well what are you use to?"She asked as she sat down on the couch again. She was really glad that she had met him. He seemed pretty nice and his accent was intoxicating.

"I don't know, being from England everything is different." he looked around the room. "I don't feel at home yet, but it is more homely and I see the same people more then once." he laughed. "Like you!" he sighed, taking a sip of his water. "And, my previous home was huge compared to these apartments."

Mariska looked at him, "Then why would you leave it?" She asked as she face him. She knew that if she had a beautiful house she certainly wouldn't leave. Though who was she to judge him for wanting to experience something different.

"I.." He lost his words, trying to think of something quick. "I'm not getting younger." he said coolie. "My mother thinks it's time I make a living of myself." Again, it wasn't completely a lie, although his mom was paying for everything. "Let's say I wasn't thrilled to leave the comfort of my home." he nudged her and winked.

Mariska smiled as he nudged her, "I just don't think i would leave a nice house to come live in an apartment in America. Especially if that house was in England." She said. She looked at him, "Are you going to go back?" She asked him.

"Trust me, I didn't want to." he chuckled, his long legs curled. "England is nice. Clean and quiet where I lived." His gaze drifted as he thought. "Not for a while, I don't think. But eventually my family will want me back." slowly, his fingers curled in his lap formally.
