Hailee didn't really have time to answer before he had walked off to get to class. She gathered her things, knowing she should do the same; he parents would flip if she got detention for skipping. She rolled the idea of going on a hike with him in her mind. It excited and frightened her all at once. It was daring; something she had never done before. Well... She'd gone hiking before but not alone with a boy who wasn't family.
"I told you, you would be seeing me again. Silly goose." David stated matter-of-factly. He watched as she frightenedly put her things between them and he couldn't help but chuckle. He definitely wasn't someone she should be scared of. He shook his head at her, "C'mon now. It's not like I'm the big bad wolf. I couldn't hurt a fly, ask anyone." David was one of the most gentle people there were and he knew that. "I just want to be your friend." He looked down while letting her see that he was pouting.
