Obscuro Love

Draco thought about why Snape had set up the partners that way. Had he known that Draco and Kali had not got along? That she didn't enjoy being around him? He sighed, knowing that she disliked him because of the way he treated her when they were younger. He glanced at the paper of Potions that needed to be completed by the end of the year. Hopefully Kali would want to pass her class enough that she would work with him. He wouldn't know until tomorrow, so he tried to stop thinking about it and started towards the Dining Hall again.

"It's okay." Caroline sighed. "Look, uh. I'm sorry that I snapped at you this morning. I was really tired and I wasn't thinking straight. I didn't mean to upset you."
She hoped that he wouldn't brush it off and would hopefully forgive her for her previous mistake.

Kali exited Herbology, class had ran long. But that was expected when the students didn't have another class afterwards. The teacher didn't care if they had lives or even homework to attend to. They just cared about their own subjects and wanted the students to thrive in there class. Though Kali didn't mind she had to hear the protests of the students around her. It actually gave her time to think about the issue with potions. She had decided that she was going to take some initiative and make Draco work with her. So when she had a spare moment in class she wrote down some items Draco would be required to bring. And she planned on them meeting in the library. It was public enough for people to see them working together and also a place where they both could be. Since he wasn't allowed in her common room or vise versa. Entering the Great Hall, she figured it would be the first place she checked for him. As if luck was on her side, he was just sliding into the Slytherin table as she walked through the double doors. Nibbling on her lip she dug the paper out of her bag, before walking over to him. She could feel eyes pry at her, she could even see most of the glares she was receiving from his table. Not caring she thrust the paper out him. "Meet me in the library at seven." She told him, give him no other option. "And bring these with you." She said curt, before turning on her heels and walking to her house table.

Fred licked over his lips as he let her words sink in. Smiling his goofy smile he beamed up at her. There was no way he could stay mad at her. Granted he had been hurt by her, but it was his pride. And also the fact he felt she had crushed his hopes of them ever being together. Springing off the couch, he towered over her. Wrapping his arms gentle around her waist, pulling her snugly into his chest. "No worries." He said, and honestly he was telling the truth. He hadn't cared that she had snapped at him, but that his change with her might be ruined. He didn't know what he would do if she ever refused him, that is if he ever got the courage to ask her out. Which said a lot for him, since he was in Gryffendor and they were suppose to be courageous.

Draco had just sat down at the Slytherin table when everyone at his table had stopped talking and we're staring behind him. His eyebrows furrowed together as he looked behind himself. He was shocked to see Kali staring at him with determination. "Meet me in the library at seven," She said sternly, thrusting a paper in his face. "And bring these with you." With that, she turned on her heel and walked away from the Slytherin table. As she walked away, whispers could be heard around the entire hall. He just huffed and turned back to the food in front of him. His friends tried to as him questions, but he just ignored them.
He was glad that Kali had decided to have them work on the Potions list together but what kind of stunt was that? They'd definitely have a bunch of people who were going to be watching them now and that bothered him. He sighed and decided to leave early from the Hall, and wait in the Library until the time came.

Caroline looked up at Fred to see a goofy grin his lips. She instantly felt relieved that Fred was no longer mad at her. She smiled back at him, when he sprung off the couch and walked towards her. There was a noticeable height difference between the two as he pulled her into a hug. He wrapped his arms around her thin waist and pulled her close. Caroline was slightly shocked at the gesture at first but soon relaxed into the embrace and wrapped her own arms above his shoulders. "No worries." He said softly. She grinned at the words, her heart slightly fluttering at the contact with Fred.
"I'm glad then." She softly said back, keeping her head tucked into his chest. She wasn't going to lie. The hug was comforting, warm and made her feel safe. Caroline could stay like that forever.

Kali took her time eating her dinner, she had skipped lunch and needed to eat. Eating quietly she felt eyes on her, before the seat next to her was taken. "You and Draco huh?" His smooth voice rang out teasingly. Kali turned her head to smile at George. "It's not like that, believe me." She chuckled, Fred and George were the only to people she really liked here. They played jokes on everyone and didn't make her feel like such an out cast. George gave her a knowing look, he knew the teasing she'd suffered from Draco, since he had stopped it time and time again. "Snape gave us a yearly project." She said, simplifying it. She didn't like wasting time on talking. Smiling waved at him, before getting up and exiting the Great Hall. She had to gather a few things herself before meeting Draco in the library.

Fred nibbled on his lip, feeling her cuddling into his embrace had him relaxing. Something in him had his mind shut off, but his movements didn't cease. Lifting his hand he cupped her chin, gently lifting her face. Staring down at her momentarily, he shifted leaning down and pressing his lips to hers.

Draco waited in the a quiet corner of the library, his supplies on the table and his backpack on the floor beside him. He picked at his nails, as waiting for Kali was nothing entertaining. He finally looked up from his nails to see that Kali had arrived and was looking at him in a weird way. He moved his eyes away from hers and suddenly found his supplies interesting.

Caroline was certainly not expecting Fred to kiss her, though, she certainly didn't mind either. After a moment of a shock, she finally pressed her lips back against him. She moved her hand to cup the back of his neck.

Kali entered the library immediately spotting the blonde. He was out of place, and it showed. She was surprised though, to see him and the items awaiting her. Placing her bag on the table she sat down opposite of him. She wanted there to be space between them. "Thank you." She said, deciding to be polite instead of head strong. Which is how she pictured this going down. Her being the leader and him just following blindly. He was never like this, he was always out spoken and rude, but lately he was with drawn and quite. Something she never thought she'd see in him, but there was always a first for everything.

Fred felt his brain cloud over, everything in him just hit cloud nine. He couldn't believe she was kissing him back, he'd never imagined this. It was something even his imagination couldn't depict. Something that shocked him to his core but made him float. He loved her and he knew now just how bad he had fallen for her.

Draco looked up at Kali and nodded at her, "Mhm." He was gonna tough this out and be as polite as he could be, hopefully getting through this without anything going wrong. He picked up the list of the stuff they had to do, "What potion do you want to start with?"

"Get a room you two, this is a public place." George jokingly scolded them. Caroline jumped away from Fred and felt her cheeks turn red.

Kali shifted in her seat, before grabbing the list from her bag. "I figured we could just go down the list." She knew that Snape would always put the hardest one in the least likely place on the list. So instead of jumping around or trying to find easy ones they could simply just work their way down. It would save them time and trouble.

Fred glared over at George, "why don't you bugger off." He murmured out to his brother. Finally when he'd managed to make a move, his brother had to come in and rune the moment. Bring him back to reality. What did the kiss even mean to her. All these negative thoughts started circling his mind.

Draco glanced up at the girl, before looking back at the list. "Okay," He replies back with a slight nod. He looked down the list, seeing some of that would be easier than the others, but he didn't mind starting at the top of the list. He just wanted to stay on her good side so they could get the project done with ease.

George held his hands up in defense, "Alright, alright. I'm leaving."
Caroline waited for George to leave before she looked towards Fred, noticing that he seemed to be lost in his thoughts.
"Are you okay?" Caroline asked, tilting her head to the side and studying his face.

Kali grabbed a few things from her bag before placing them in front of him. "Why don't you get started out chopping those." She told him, before she set up the cauldron. Placing a couple of liquids in, starting the potion off right.

Fred turned his attention back to her, a soft smile crept its way onto his lips. He thought she was to cute when she did that. "I'm fine." He said, offering her a bigger smile. Though he knew inside he was still brimming with confusion. But he was still so uncertain how to bring it up to her.

Draco started chopping the ingredients she had handed him, giving them to her when he finished. He made sure they were all cut perfectly so the potion would be as accurate as possible. He wanted them to get a good score from Snape and he knew that the only way they would do that was if they were perfect.
Not only was he trying to please Snape but Kali as well. He wasn't sure why he felt the need to. Perhaps it was for cruelty he put her through. Perhaps it was because he was starting to fancy her.

Caroline smiled softly back at him, hoping that he wasn't as confused at she was. She wasn't really sure what that kiss meant. Was the kiss a heat of the moment thing or if it was genuine. Her mind battled against itself, trying to prove one right, but to no avail, she was still at a loss.
Finally, she replied to him, "Okay. Just checking. You just seemed at a bit of a loss."

Kali smiled adding the ingredients he'd chopped. Watching as the potion started changing colors. She nibbling on her lip while she stirred it carefully hoping that it'd be right. "It should be finished in an hour." She told him, "we just have to keep a close eye on it and stir it every ten minutes." She said before placing her self down in her chair. Then turned her attention to the potion book in front of her, looking over the next potion they'd be brewing.

Fred liked over his lips, before scratching the back of his neck. "I am." He chuckled honestly. "I didn't think," he murmured, biting on his lip. "I'm surprised you kissed me back." He gulped feeling like a complete idiot, all he had to do was tell her his feeling but couldn't manage to get it out there.

Draco looked at the next potion, seeing that it would be a little more difficult then the one before and would require more time. He sighed, grabbing the supplies from inside his bag.
"I've got most of the ingredients for the potion," He says to the girl, setting the stuff on the table in front of them.

Caroline watched him carefully, listening to what he said to her. She smiled at him slightly, "Honestly, I'm surprised you kissed me in the first place."
She was glad he was sharing his thoughts with her. "I kissed back," She trails off, and she can feel herself blushing, "Because I like you."

Kali lifted her head hearing his words. "You want to start it now?" She questioned him. "It'll take days to prepare." She didn't like the look of three next potion, you had to let it brew for two days before adding some ingedant, the let it brew for four days, before adding the rest and finishing it. She didn't know how they would do it together. They'd have to leave the potion setting for awhile undisturbed, so they'd have to fine a safe place to brew. And because neither of them were in the same house it'd be harder for them too do it in the common room.

Fred blink down at her, before a breathtaking smile washed over his face. Stepping closer to her he cups her face before leaning in, "I like you too." Then his lips captures hers. He was overly extatce, knowing she liked him made him all that more confident. And kissing her was the best thing he could think of doing at the moment.

"We don't have to start it now." Draco offers, "I thought it would be easier but I thought it would be best to start it now, but we can do ones that won't take days and finish those, then finish the other ones." It would definitely be awkward working on the multiple day potions, because they weren't in the same houses, nor did they get along to well and because they had no safe place to keep it.
"Did you have other ideas as to how we should do them?" Draco asked.

Caroline felt a wave of relief wash over her as a smile over came Fred's face. She wrapped his arms around behind his neck, hoping that it would help with the height difference. She kissed back, happiness running through her veins. She was so glad knowing that he liked her back. It was a wonderful feeling.

Kali listened to Draco ramble, she understood how he wasn't comfortable around her. But normally his bossy and in control. Frowning at her wayward thoughts, she shook her head. "That sounds fine, get a few of them out of the way to night," She agreed with him. "I can talk to Professor McGonagall." She told him, she'd see it McGonagall could book them a classroom or some place they could keep their potions safe and would be accessible for both of them.

Fred beamed into the kiss, his hands moving down to her hips. Pulling her as close as she could get. He knew that admitting they liked each other was just a step. He still had to ask her out, but at the moment all he wanted to do was snog.

Draco nodded at the idea, seeing as it was the best shot they had to keep the potions safe. He started to look through the list again, "Which ones did you want to start tonight?" He glanced up at her occasionally, but otherwise, he kept his eyes on the paper.

Caroline felt so much joy. It was so relieving that Fred had liked her back, it was something she never thought would happen. It was such an exciting feeling.

Kali didn't like how he was falling back on her to take charge. Was he really that scared she'd snapped at him, because honestly all she wanted to do was get these over with, with out problems. "It doesn't matter which ones we do." She informed him, not really caring. It would be easiest if he took some initiative too.

Fred pulled back from the kiss, panting. He knew it wasn't a good idea to get to deep into it without some clarification. Grabbing her hand he pulled her to one of the many couches in the common room. Sitting down beside he pulled her down on to his lap. He didn't care if it was a bit to forward, he just wanted her in his arms. Looking slightly up at her, he smiled. "Would you." He stopped hearing the common room door open again. Throwing a look over his shoulder he frowned as people started filtering through, it was close to curfew. Meaning their alone time had just ended, and now his questioned would have to wait. Because he didn't want to deal with a bunch of kids.

Draco looked through the list, deciding which potions they should do. "I think we should do the 2nd, 3rd and 7th potion tonight." He looks at the ingredients, all of which they have enough of. "They brew fast and when they're done I can take them to Snape's classroom and put them in our project desk. I'll place a protection charm over it so no one can take it."

Caroline looked at the incoming group of kids. "Perhaps we should go outside?"
She didn't want to tell with a bunch of the younger students. Usually she didn't mind them, but it seemed that he was trying to tell her something.

Kali nodded, "that's fine." She informed him. Then turned to the potiosn in her book, looking over the brewing process trying to decide which one to do first. But since they only had one cauldron it meant only on potion at a time. Shifting she looked up at him. "Well since the 3rd one takes so long to brew why don't we do the other two." She told him. "So we aren't late for curfew." She added, she dreaded having detention with Umbridge, something she was going to avoid at all cost.

Fred shook his head at her offer, "no it's too close to curfew." He sighed, before sitting down on the closest couch. Motioning her to him, "they'll get tired and go to bed soon." He murmured to her once she was seated next to him, his arm wrapping around her waist, pulling her close to him. He didn't mind cuddling while they waited, and besides that George would end up showing up soon.
