Obscuro Love

Draco had forgotten about curfew, not that it really affected him more anyways, but he still nodded. "Good idea." He answers. He starts on the first one, adding and chopping any ingredients they would need. He stays solely focused on the potion during this time in hopes of making it perfect. He didn't want to get a bad grade from Snape.

Caroline nodded, huffing out a breathe. She normally didn't mind the younger students, but right now she could seriously do without them. She sat on the couch next to Fred, resting her head on his shoulder.

Kali watched Draco as he started chopping the ingredients, her eyes lingered on his hands for a bit. He seemed to know what he was doing, she just hoped their time together would get them good grades. Turning back to the list she crossed out the potion they had finished. Nibbling on her lip she moved around the table, standing next to him as she started to mix the potion. Collecting the already chopped ingredients and adding them in the right order.

Fred held her closely, as his eyes watched the fire in front of them. He knew that most of the students would get bored and head upstairs before to long. But it was taking forever, and right now he wished George would show up and pull a prank. That normally cleared the common room, no body wanted to be the center of George and Fred's mischief. Though Fred just wasn't in the mood to play a prank, his mind was preoccupied with other things, mainly Caroline.

Unlike many people had believed, Draco cared about the marks he got in his classes. Sure, he wasn't the best student. Not by a long shot. Still, he still made efforts. Draco finished what he had tasked himself to do. He was going to continue, but he saw Kali had already started on it. He added what he had done into the cauldron.

Caroline decided that they were going to have to wait for the students to clear out or for George to return, possibly scaring away the younger children. She looked up at Fred.
"Have you finished your homework?" Caroline asked quietly, thinking back to her classes and wondering if she had finished in time.

Kali stirred the cauldron, before looking up at Draco. "This one is going to take a bit." She informed him, knowing well that he didn't want to be anywhere near her. Right now she was offering him an escape to go do something else while she finished up the potion.

Fred furrowed his brows at her. "Do I ever finish my homework?" He questioned her, most of the time he was bugging her for the answers. Shifting he rested his head on her shoulder. "Is homework something you want to do?" He questioned, knowing full and well it wasn't.

Draco looked at the potion, not bothering to make eye contact with Kali. He felt like he had let his eyes wander too much tonight and didn't like the idea of loosing the reputation he had built up for himself over the years. "Alright," He says sharply, "Is there anything else that we should get done tonight or is this good for now?"

Caroline let out a soft giggle, "I should have known better than to ask." She rested her head on top of his, thinking of all the times she had been asked for answers to the homework by the twins. "No," She frowns, "But there isn't much you can do with a group of first years watching."

Kali furrowed her brows, before sighing softly. "Not that I know." She nibbled on her lip, hoping he would take his leave. She'd already started tiding up, so really all that was left was the finishing touches on the brewing potion.

Fred sighed softly, before shaking his head. She was right, to many wandering eyes. "Well I don't think it would hurt anything to get started." He grumbled, dreading the idea of even looking at his homework.

Draco nodded, carefully picking his stuff up from around her. He tidied up his things, making sure he didn't knock anything over. "Well, if that's all, I'll be taking my leave." Draco says, standing from his seat. "I'll see tomorrow then? Or whenever you want to work on this again." He nods at her, nervousness causing him to chew on his bottom lip.

Caroline caresses his cheek, making him look towards her. "Hey now," She smiles softly, "Don't you worry. I'm gonna be here to help you out." She leaned forward, close to his ear.
"I'll even give you some of the answers," She whispers softly, her lips almost brush against his ear. She pulls away carefully, giving him a wicked grin.

Kali looked up at Draco briefly her eyes taking in his nervous tick. Looking down she frowned, there's no way the Draco Malfoy was nervous. "Okay, I'll let you know something tomorrow." She informed him, turning her attention to the potion still brewing in front of her, nibbling on her lip she tried to ignore his departure.

Fred smirked at her before shaking his head. "You know what teasing get you right?" He questioned her, wondering if she remember the last time anyone ever teased him. He and George put a stop to it, and the Wesley twins were never messed with again. "I wonder if I have any of that taffy left." He teased her back. He and George earn their title as prankster because of that act, they'd managed to trade out some taffy for a concoction of their own making, the kid that consumed it end up in the hospital wing, then the Puking Pastilles hadn't been perfected or had managed a cure for it.

Draco stopped chewing on his lip and nodded at her words. He turned on his heel and left the library. As soon as he walked out, he felt relief come over his body. It was just easier for him to be alone. He keep an even pace until he reached his room in the dungeons.

"Don't even joke about the taffy," Caroline huffs, amused and sits back against the couch. She remembers the taffy incident very clearly and she did not want to be on the receiving end of that prank.
