Roedanya's instinctive reaction to the shock was to jerk her hand away, which seemed to be Alec's reaction as well, considering he pulled his hand away rather quickly. It wasn't a bad shock, maybe a little worse than when a person accidentally shocked themselves on something metal, but it was surprising, and it had been odd. In any case... Roedanya just put it off to simple static electricity as she passed her folded piece of paper to him.
"Sure thing," she said, soon figuring that she had been in front of the wrong set of stores since he was leading her in a different direction entirely. As they walked, they fell in step together side-by-side though both seemed careful not to touch the other -then again, that could've been her imagination. Still, getting shocked wasn't exactly a pleasant thing.
"Mmhmm. Just started school nearby around a week ago," Roedanya answered as she let him lead the way. She glanced up at him, giving him a curious look. "I'm assuming you aren't new here... and I think I would've remembered you if I had seen you in the school... so do you live here?"
The school wasn't really small, but though Roedanya was far from having actually met everyone at the school, she felt pretty confident that she had at least seen almost everyone, if not actually everyone. And having just met Alec... she could safely say that he would've stuck out in her memory. Which meant either she just hadn't run by him at all, or he didn't go to the school... which actually seemed more likely to her right then.
Daniel actually got the groceries done pretty early. His mood must have been infectious or something, because he coul'dve sworn it was the fastest he'd ever gotten food and then gotten out of the store. But his arms were so full of crap by the time he got out, without any sign of Alec of course, that he had to either just take everything back or find somewhere to wait on his brother since he definitely wasn't leaving the groceries alone anywhere.
Paranoia got to him in the end, and he ended up going to find a bench, soon finding out that absolutely none of them were unoccupied. The only one with any space at all for him to sit also just so happened to have a certain golden-haired girl sitting on it. Perfect.
But Daniel headed over anywhere, not even asking if he could sit down. He didn't take up so much room that she would be crowded or anything, after all. After sitting down, he then set his bags down on the ground around his legs and let out a heavy sigh as he crossed his arms behind his head. How fucking long did it take for someone to find toilet paper and toothpaste, anyway? If he hadn't had the groceries to think about, Daniel would've gone to look for Alec. But he didn't... because once again... not leaving the bags and not taking them with him.
"Perfect." This time muttered out loud.
