Alyssa sat in class finally able to relax knowing that Dane or his football buddies were not wither her in this class. She has quit paying attention to the teacher after the first five minutes. She kept thinking about Luke and how much she had grown to trust him in such a short time.

Watching the clock as she nervously picked at her nails waiting for the bell to ring; jumping when it finally did. Alyssa hurriedly gathered her things as she practically ran the the cafeteria. As she waited in line she searched the room for Luke not realizing that Dane was walking right up to her.

Luke did see it though, and was moving quickly-using his extraordinary speed. He was even less than a blur of light as he suddenly dropped yogurt on the ground before reappearing behind a wall and walking up behind Alyssa, awaiting for the fall that would occur as he approached her...

Alyssa sighed after she had scanned the cafeteria without spotting him. Turning back she spotted Dane walking straight for her, and he looked angry. His buddy in second hour must have told him about her speaking to Luke. She let her shoulders drop as she prepared to get yelled at. When suddenly Dane fell flat on his back. Alyssa didn't know whether to help him or just stand there as his face began to get red with anger as he stared at something or someone behind her.

Luke tapped Alyssa on the shoulder, and beamed at her as he said," Hey. You told me to meet you here?" He then looked over, and made a surprised, almost concerned face at Dane as he snarled up at him. Luke walked over to him, though, and held out a hand to help him up. "You okay?" He ask, waiting for him to take his hand and try to pull him down, or try to do something stupid of the sort.

Alyssa turned to look at Luke then back at Dane. A small smile played her lips as she realized Luke had made it. She had already forgotten about Dane until she saw Luke go over to him. Alyssa frowned a bit for she knew that Dane would try to do something even though Luke had nothing to do with him falling.
As she watched she saw Dane take his hand, but nothing had happened. As she looked closer she saw his hand grew white as if Dane was squeezing or pulling at Luke. Alyssa looked over at Luke who didn't seem to notice as he pulled Dane up off the floor.
As Luke released his hand Dane moved to push him. "Who do you think you are talking to my girl!" Dane shouted fiercely. Alyssa sighed as she moved in front of Luke.
"You know I am not your girl Dane. So just leave Luke alone. Okay?" Alyssa said trying to sound confident before she turned to look at Luke then back at Dane before running out of the lunch room.

Luke smiled as Dane tried to squeeze his hand to hurt him, and then tried to pull him to the floor- only allowing Luke to pull him up that much easier. When he let go, and Dane tried to push him, he automatically side-stepped and pushed Dane's hands aside, saying," Look, I was just saying hello. I didn't kiss her or anything- so calm yourself." He then raised his hands to defend himself, while still backing up. At the next moment, though, he took off after Alyssa...

Alyssa ran out the front door of the school, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't believe what she had let happen. For two years she had managed to slowly help her friends forget her and to not let anyone new come into her life. Just for this reason, she knew that Dane would hurt and make anyone that she became close with live's miserable just like he does her's.

She wrapped her arms around her waist as she walked around to the back of the school that had a small wooded area; were she sometimes went to relax on her own.

Luke, once out of the situation with Dane, began sniffing. Once he thought he had lost the trail, he reached into his bag and pulled out her jacket, inhaling from it once more before catching the scent again. Soon, he was right on it, and was eventually led out of the school. He walked around the back, following the trail, and couldnt help but smile at the site of the wooded area behind the building. He also smiled because of the girl standing there, though, but frowned when he realized how upset she was. He approached her, but didn't touch her, before whispering," Alyssa? It's Luke."

Alyssa wiped at her face as she turned around to face Luke. "Hey, sorry I left you back there." she said with a small smile, frowning a bit as she looked around. "How did you find me?" Alyssa asked as she wrapped her arms around herself suddenly cold.

Luke paused for a moment, hesitating, and then said," Well, I kind of just ran after you, and spotted a guy once you lost me. I asked him which way you went, and he pointed me outside. Then, you didn't seem to be anywhere in front, or in the parking lots on either side, so I came around back here quickly. And, well, here you are."

Alyssa smiled. "Sorry, I didn't mean to sound defensive about it. I'm just not used to people being nice to me." she said with a small frown. "I'm not even sure I should be talking with you. I mean I love talking with you...it's just I don't want you to get hurt." Alyssa explained as she shifted her weight to her other foot nervously.

Luke blushed a bit when she mentioned that she loved talking to him, but hid it well. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit, though, when she mentioned him getting hurt. He then said," You shouldn't have to worry about my safety. I will be just fine. Don't worry about me."

Alyssa smiles as she went to kiss him on the cheek. "Alright, I will do my best not to worry." she said as she took his hand in hers. "Would you want to stay with me and walk around a bit or do you need to get back to class? I don't think I could handle seeing Dane again today." Alyssa stated as she looked up at him nervously.

"Well not really, I just don't want to see Dane anymore today. And I kinda wanted to spend some time with you...if that is alright." Alyssa said softly, looking away from him with a small blush forming on her face.

Luke smiled at the sight of her blush, and... Well, to put it bluntly, her scent. The wolf part of him was allowing him to be able to smell the pheromones she was letting off, and it only made him happier, and more anxious to hang out with her. "Sure, that sounds wonderful to me," Luke said, nodding," Although, considering I have no idea when it comes to things around here, and direction, why don't you lead the way on this little walk?"

"Yay!" she smiled as she took his hand pulling him along the trail. Alyssa had forgotten everything that had happened in that moment so happy to have someone to speak with she just started rambling about anything she could think of until they came upon a small stream. She grew quiet as they came closer. "This is where I would come to get away from everything, to just be alone." Alyssa said in a small voice as she went to sit on a log and run her fingers through the water slowly.
