Luke smiled at the beauty of the surroundings, and then noticed the meaning behind her words, and made a questioning face as he looked at her. "Well, if you need it to be your own private spot, I really can leave you to your independence," he said, trying desperately not to intrude.

Alyssa smiled. "No, silly. Come and sit with me." She said as she patted a spot on the log beside her. "I wouldn't have brought you here if I didn't want to share it with you." Alyssa said with a small blush. "This will be our spot now." she said with a big smile on her face as she thought about the words she had just said.

Luke chuckled when she said that, and blushed as well. Although, there was a pang of guilt and worry in his heart about the words she had said as well. What exactly did she mean by them? Did she just say it out of kindness and friendship? Or possibly of something more than that? He knew, deep down, that he couldn't submit her to that... Despite how much it pained him to think about it. So, he didn't think about it anymore, and just sat down beside her. "So," he said, running his hand through the water as well," How did you find out about this place?"

"Oh you know, when you have to leave school but still make it seem like you are at school. You end up finding a lot of things." she said smiling up at him a bit. "I also love the outdoors and sometimes if I sit real still a wolf or two may come by." Alyssa stated "They are gorgeous, and have never seem to have wanted to hurt me, so I've never been to worried about it. Maybe we will see one together sometime." she smiled brightly as she looked back into the water.

Luke couldn't help but chuckle when she mentioned the wolves coming up to her if she was out here. He blushed a bit when she mentioned about seeing a wolf together, and scratched the back of his neck nervously as he chuckled again, and replied," Yeah, maybe. Although, don't they worry you? I mean, they are predators of the wild. If you bump one the wrong way, it might just set it off..."

Alyssa blushed a bit as she heard his deep chuckle. "No, I mean I would never hurt them or try to touch them if I felt they did not wish me to do so." She smiled up at him as she tried to splash some water on him. "Don't worry about me, the whole two years I've been coming back here they never seem to get to close. Even if they do seem to understand me when I speak and seem humanish at times." Alyssa said laughing a bit as she realized what she had said.

Luke chuckled, and then realized what she had said as well- although it definitely held a different meaning to him. His smile faltered a little bit, but he did not lose it. He simply replied," That's a little weird. But kind of cool at the same time." He then began to discreetly scan the area, as he said," So, tell me more about yourself, Alyssa. Where are you from? What do you like?"

Alyssa sighed. "What is there to tell." she said with a small laugh. "I was born and raised here in Kansas, and I have a passion for animals and the outdoors." Alyssa said with a shrug, before looking up at him. "Are you alright?" she asked, noticing that Luke had been looking around at the trees more than at her.

"Yeah," he said, snapping his attention back to her, and offering a comforting smile," Sorry, I get a little paranoid sometimes. I love animals, but had a kinda bad experience with some wolves when I was a little younger, so they kinda skeeve me out a little bit."

Well, technically it was true. He did have a bad experience with a wolf when he was younger- a WEREwolf. Leaving him how he is now....

"Oh, I'm sorry. We can leave if it will make you feel better." Alyssa said a it concerned. "Your study period is probably almost over anyway." she said softly as she stood and stepped over the log waiting for him to do the same. "I don't want you to miss anymore class on your first day anyway."

"Okay," Luke said, nodding as he rose up from his place on the log," Sorry that I'm cutting our time short because of some stupid irrational fear.... I feel so childish and crazy."

Alyssa smiles. "Don't worry about it, I ditched school so that I wouldn't have to deal with Dane." she replied trying to make him feel better. As she walked with Luke she spotted a small brown wolf from the corner of her eye, she didn't say anything to Luke. She just kept walking hoping that he would not notice and become frightened. "Will you tell me about yourself?" Alyssa asked hoping if she got him talking Luke would not see the small wolf.

Luke noticed though- with his nose before his eyes, though. He made eye contact with the wolf, though, and smiled. "Oh, he's fine," he said, noticing that the wolf was way too small to be one of his kind. So, he nodded to the wolf, and continued walking with Alyssa, asking," Are they all that small? Or are they usually larger?" He didn't make it show that he was changing the subject, though, just awaited her answer.

Alyssa frowned, but answered him anyway. "Most of the others a a lot larger, but they have never tried to hurt me." She said taking his hand and giving it a small squeeze. "We're almost out of the woods anyway." Alyssa said with a regretful sigh knowing that she should go back to class, but she still really didn't want to see Dane again.

Luke internally sighed, realizing that he still wasn't out of the woods yet with this area possibly being the territory of another wolf's pack. He pushed it off, though, as they were almost actually out of the woods. He then smiled as she took his hand, and looked over at her with a blush. "That's good. So, are you going to go back to class, then as well?"

Looking at her watch, she sighed. "I guess I should, need to get over my fear of Dane one way or another. Anyway how bad could last hour be?" she said trying to convince herself more than anything as they made their way through the front doors of the school right as 7th hour ended. Alyssa hugged Luke tight before heading to homeroom.

Luke hugged her tightly, and reassuringly in return, before smiling to her, and saying," And if something happens, just come wave in the window of room 228, and I will get myself excused to come out- some way or another. If not, meet me at my car at the end of the day, alright?" He smiled at her as she walked away, though, before then hurrying to his own class.

Even though last hour was slow she had been able to keep out of sight from Dane. As soon as the bell rang she stood and headed to her locker, she kept an eye out for Dane or any of his buddies. As soon as she had her back turned to get her things from her locker someone tapped her on her shoulder, thinking it was Luke, Alyssa turned with a big smile on her face. As soon as she saw who it was fear filled her as Dane trapped her between him and her locker.

Luke's last hour couldn't have gone slower. The teacher of the class seemed to have been the most boring person on the face of the earth, with his highly monotone voice and lack of movement when lecturing to keep attention. Practically the entire class, though, he kept looking out the small window of the door to the hallway- making sure he wouldn't miss her if Alyssa made an appearance in that plate glass. When the hour finally ended, he was the first to get up and leave, arriving at his car to wait for Alyssa in what would have seemed like record time to a normal person- although not for him. He waited there for quite a while, wondering what was taking Alyssa so long...

A whimper escaped her lips as terror filled her. "Please Dane just let me go." She said as she began to struggle trying to get out and away from him. "Now why would I want to let you go after what a bad girl you were today." he said as he began to run his hand up her shirt. Alyssa smacked at his hands as tears filled her eyes. She looked around the halls trying to find someone to help her, but they were deserted. All she could do was whimper as his hand moved up her stomach, praying that someone would find her and help her.
