Holly was tired as she drove home, several bags of new clothes tucked into the back seat of her car. She had woken up and had had no plans for the day but then, Darcy had texted her and told her to meet him at the mall. They didn't usually get to hang out any more because her boyfriend was always so jealous. That was the official reason that she always gave Darcy because she wasn't about to tell him about the abuse. God forbid that he found out, she was afraid that either he or David would end up hurt. Or worse, both of them.

She pulled into the drive way of the house she was renting with David, surprised to see that his car was in the driveway. Normally, David wasn't home for another few hours. Unsure of what she was about to face, Holly decided to leave her clothes in the car and bring them in when he wasn't home. Maybe she could write off where she was as she just ran out to get out of the house.

Stepping inside, Holly called out his name as she kicked off her shoes and set her purse down on the small table by the door.

David was sitting down in the living room with a cigarette attached to his lips. He had had a long day at work and was now in need of his cigarettes. Hearing Holly's car drive up in the drive way, he put the cigarette out and looked up when he heard the door open. He heard her call out as well, and said, "In here, babe." Standing up, he stretched and yawned. He was immediately walking towards her. Bringing her into his arms, he kissed her. He smiled down at her and said, "Where were you?" He wondered aloud. He tilted his head to the side as he waited for her reply. Watching her with his brown eyes, he awaited a response. He smiled down at her. Despite having a shitty day at work, he was in a good mood. He was glad to see her today.

Darcy yawned as he headed back to his apartment. He had stuff in the backseat. He had missed hanging out with Holly. He pouted. He had missed her. He wondered what tattoo he should get next. He stopped the car as he arrived at his apartment. He got out and carried his shit inside, before sitting down with a water in hand. He took a sip of it and texted Holly telling her he was home. He knew she always liked hearing that he was home. He smiled and got out a good book and started to read it. As he started to read, he began to get lost in that world. He groaned suddenly realizing that he had college work to do. He sighed, pulling out his laptop and beginning to finish it up.

Holly hesitated for a moment, walking into the living room and forcing a bit of a smile to her lips. She was scared of David, almost all the time because whenever she said something wrong... did something wrong, he snapped and he would smack her around. Her stomach was in knots as she wrapped her arms around him, returning the kiss quickly. "I just decided to head out, I was tired of sitting in the house," she said with a shrug of her shoulders. She opened her mouth to say something else but her phone rang in her back pocket to indicate a text. Hesitating for a moment, she excused herself, saying she was going to make herself tea. the moment that she was in the kitchen, Holly pulled her phone out to answer Darcy's text. She smiled, and told him that she was glad he had gotten home safely and that she would hopefully talk to him tomorrow. Not really thinking too much, she set her phone down on hte counter and went to pick out a tea to make.

David watched her with a look like a hawk, hoping she wasn't hiding something from him. He felt her return the kiss and deepened it by holding her face gently. He could be gentle when he wanted to, otherwise the beast came out most of the time. Listening to her explanation, he nodded and said, "Well, do you want to go out tonight?" He asked her, raising an eyebrow. He heard her phone go off, and his eyebrows narrowed. He watched her excuse herself to go make tea and wanted to know what was up with that. He wasn't quite fond of her bestfriend and she knew this. "Who was texting you?" he called out curiously. He leaned against the wall as he waited for her to return. He crossed his arms as he did so, seeming like he was comfortable.

Darcy grinned at Holly's reply and sent back, Alright. Sleep sweet and all that shit. Be good. Talk to you later. He then returned to his studies not knowing what much else to do but his homework. He worked hard to get the grades he got, and made sure they stayed the same grades all around. He was definitely sure to make his grades he same or maybe even better. He was majoring in English. Hopefully, he would become an English teacher by the end of his college days. He hoped so at least. He wondered how Holly and David were. He knew something was up, but wanted to know. It was killing him, because he never got to hang out with his best friend anymore because of the prick. No, he did not like her boyfriend.

Holly jumped when David called out to her, her eyes going a bit wide. She had hoped he wouldn't realise she had gotten a text because she couldn't exactly say no if he asked to see her phone to see if she was lying or not. The last time that she ahd, he had been so mad and that was the last thing she wanted. Her head was lowered as she came back into the living room, holding her cupo of caramel corn tea, chewing on the inside of her lip nervously. "Darcy," she answered after a moment, moving to take a seat on the couch.

She looked up to him and just shrugged her shoulders, trying to play off how nervous she was because she didn't want to spark any of his anger. "I was actually just thinking we can order some take out and watch some movies, I'm pretty tired," she murmured, hoping he would agree because after being out for most of the day, she was tired and didn't really have the energy to go out.

"Is that alright?" She asked, glancing up to him. When she saw the look on David's face, her heart skipped a slight beat. He didn't really look like he believed what she was saying and she was hoping she was wrong.

(Since Darcy isn't really doing anything, is it okay if I wait to roleplay him until him and Holly interact?)

David heard her reply and felt slightly pissed. He had asked her not to talk to him as much anymore. It pissed him off because he hated the way that Darcy seemed to get along better with her than he did. He hated the fact that his girl hung out with another guy as much as she did with Darcy. He let it slide this time simply because he didn't want to be upset with her today. He sighed and said, "Which take out place?" He asked her frowning at her. "Where's your purse? I'll get it." He said noticing she didn't have her purse. He went out to the car and reached in grabbing her purse, and noticed all the bags in the car as well. He growled and went back inside and slammed the door shut. "What the hell is with all the bags?" He spat at her, dropping her purse on the table and crossing his arms. "Don't lie to me either, Holly." He barked out, clenching his fists waiting for her response. He hated when she didn't tell him shit.

Holly was enjoying her tea, not even thinking about the bags when she told David where her purse was. She had pulled her legs up and was sitting indian style, only to jump and have her tea splash out of the cup. She muttered under her breath, quickly setting down her cup and wiping away the tea with the edge of her sleeve. Her eyes were wide as she listened to David speak, her stomach sinking as she pressed into the back of the couch. Swallowing the lump in her throat, Holly looked up to her boyfriend. There was no lying to David and she knew that. Glancing behind him, she had entertained the idea of trying to get to their room before he could catch her but that was still a stupid idea. Running just made it worse. She drew in a shaky breath and looked down, biting into her lip as she tensed in anticipation. "I just... went shopping," she murmured, hoping that what she said would be enough to please him. Because it was the truth, wasn't it? She just didn't want to have to tell him about Darcy having invited her out and having bought everything for her because she knew he would snap.

David narrowed his eyes as he listened to her. Looking down at her with his arms crossed over his chest, he growled and said, "The full story." he repeated this time slower and louder, hoping that she didn't think he was actually that stupid. He said, "With who? I know you Holly, you wouldn't go shopping alone." He suddenly came to a realization. "Darcy." he said with strained calm. He looked down at her and took a deep breath. "I thought I told you I didn't like you hanging out with him." He hissed to her suddenly going down to her eye level. He reached out, grabbing her arm and forcing her to her feet. "Look at me when I'm talking to you!" He barked out. Looking down at her he said, "I'm trying very hard to stay calm, Holly. I suggest you tell me the fucking truth." He growled. "It'll only make it worse if you don't, goddammit." he said. Gripping her arm tightly, he awaited her response knowing he wasn't going to like it.

Holly flinched as he spoke again, closing her eyes tightly as she didn't have to watch him start to blow up. Her stomach was twisted into a ball of knots and she only let out a small whimper when he said her best friend's name because she didn't know what else to say to him. Holly swallowed and nearly jumped out of her skin, opening her eyes when he knelt down to her level. She gritted her teeth, trying not to make a sound as she was pulled to her feet. Looking down, afraid to look up, Holly tried to keep her tears back. She didn't want to cry because whenever she did, it only ever served to piss David off more. Jumping as he snapped, Holly looked up to him with wide eyes. "I-I'm sorry. I. Just," she yelped when he squeezed her arm tighter, reaching up to wipe at her eye, to stop tears from falling. "He invited me out. Said how we hadn't gotten to spend any time together lately," she explained, wincing at how tight his grip was. "You're hurting me, Dave," she whispered, her eyes trailing to his hand on her arm, hoping he would let this slide. Somehow doubting it.

David didn't like when she closed her eyes. It was always a bad idea. He had been raised to stare the motherfucker in the face and wanted everyone else to look him in the eyes when he was speaking to them. This didn't excuse Holly from doing the same. He heard her yelp and squeezed tighter waiting for her response. Hearing her, he let go of her wrist hearing her tell him he was hurting her. He flipped the damn vase that he had never liked over and yelled out. He looked back at her and said, "Why the hell didn't you just A, tell me, or B. tell him no!?" He demanded now flat out pissed the fuck off. What the hell was wrong with her. He brought his hand up and almost slapped her. He pulled it back and shook his head. "Why?" He simply asked. Depending on her answer was whether he would blow up all the way or not. Having his fists clenched at his side, he stared down at her, his hazel eyes staring her down.

Holly was shaking as she stood in front of him, her legs suddenly feeling like jello as she stared at him. She started to breathe a bit deeper, trying to ignore the pain from his grip - it was going to leave a bruise the next day. She jumped, her eyes going to the vase as it crashed to the floor. She flinched, fully expecting him to slap her when his hand started to raise and she took a small step back, her knees giving out and she collapsed onto the couch before she could stop herself. Her stomach was full of knots as she looked up to her boyfriend, not able to stop her tears from falling now. "I'm sorry, Dave," she whispered closing her eyes. A few tears started to fall and she quickly reached up to wipe them away before she opened her eyes to stare down at her lap, too afraid to look up at him now. "I don't know, Dave. I'm sorry," she whispered, hiccuping and trying to calm herself down so she didn't completely break down. Holly wanted to say something, anything, to calm David down but she couldn't force the words out so she just sat on the couch silently, staring down at her lap as she tried to calm herself down enough so she wasn't crying (silently hoping he wouldn't notice she was crying).

David growled when she wasn't looking at him anymore, "Dammit Holly!" He yelled at her, this time raising his hand and smacking her with full force. He growled and pulled her up by her hair and said, "I don't know isn't good enough!" He frowned and shook his head and dropped her. He saw her crying and immediately got even more upset as well as pissed off at himself. He hated her crying. He shook his head and slammed the door to their room trying to calm down. He threw shit around the room to keep from taking it out on her now. (Don't worry, we'll get to the more brutal stuff later.) He finished his tantrum and came out of the room and looked down at her. "I'm sorry for hurting you." He calmed his ass down and was now looking at her. He was an asshole and he knew this. He just got so angry at her. He went down and touched her face gently and whispered, "Don't cry."

Holly's head jerked to the side when she was smacked, not able to help the cry that fell from her parted lips. She winced as she was pulled up by her hair, her hands reaching to try and pull his fingers from her hair. "Please," she whispered, gasping as she was dropped to the floor. Holly was still in the same exact spot when David came out nearly ten minutes later, too afraid to move. There were times when if she did, it only somehow managed to set David off even more. Holly flinched when the bedroom door opened and she tensed, anticipating what was about to happen. Her eyes were glued to David's feet as he neared her and she tried to press herself into the couch behind her. "Don't," she whispered, reaching up to squeeze his hand gently, more to comfort herself than anything. "I shouldn't have gone out with Darcy, I'm sorry," she murmured, swallowing the lump in her throat as she started to look up to him. She had stopped crying but her eyes were still red and puffy.

David felt her squeeze his hand and squeezed it back. He brought her into his arms and murmured, "The reason I get so angry is because it seems like you like him more than me and that upsets me because youre my girlfriend not his." He said as he stroked her hair hoping to calm her down. "I'm sorry." He told her and sat down as he pulled her into his lap. "I'm so sorry." He told her always feel so much like a dick after he had his temper spills. He kissed her forehead and said, "Just promise me nothing's going on between you two." He said burying his face in her neck. He needed her words to tell him that nothing was going on. He pulled her tightly to him, but still managing to be gentle as he did so.

Holly quickly turned so she was straddling him and set her head on his chest, her eyes slipping shut, her arms folded between them. Her eyes were closed, she was quiet as she listened to his heart beat and his breathe as he inhaled and exhaled. "Sh," she whispered, leaning to press a kiss to his lips gently. "Don't apologise. It was my fault, babe," she said quietly, giggling when he nuzzled her neck. "That tickles," she mumbled, pulling back to look him in the eyes. She reached up and cupped his face with her hands, rubbing back and forth with her thumbs. "Nothing is going on between Darcy and I. I promise. I love you, you're my boyfriend. I'm your girlfriend, not his," she said, a smile on her lips. "I love you," she said, leaning to kiss him deeply. "Did you want to order some food?" She asked quietly, figuring that he would want to order outsome food now.

David held her to his chest. He kissed her back deeply and went to nuzzle her neck again. He heard her say it tickled and smiled softly in her neck. He loved her. He really and honestly did. He looked down at her in the eyes and listenend to her words. He stared her in the eyes as he listened to her talk. A smile went onto his lips as he heard her and kissed her back just as gently. "Yeah, I'll do it though. You sit and relax." He told her and kissed her once more as he picked her up. He set her down on the couch and reached for the phone ordering some food to be delivered to their house. He smiled and said, "You can pick any movie you want as well baby."

Holly grinned up at her boyfriend, hesitating when he said he would order the food. She forced a slight smile to her lips, not really wanting to argue the point so she decided to say nothing. Whatever he decided to order for her, she would just eat it beecause at least that way he couldn't get upside with her. When David returned, Holly snuggled up to his side and set her head on his shoulder. She shrugged her shoulders at the idea of picking a movie, not sure what she should pick. Starting to go through the movies on on demand, she picked the Conjuring, knowing that David much preferred scary movies to other types. While she didn't really like them (mostly because she ended up petrified by the end), she knew he didn't care for romantic movies so she usually just watched them when she was alone.

David smiled down at her and kissed her again before ordering the food. When he came back he brought her into his arms again and smiled as she picked a scary movie. He held her close and let her use him as a pillow as he wrapped a blanket around her to make sure she didn't get cold. He turned the sound up having had it down since he hadn't really been watching the television earlier. He focused on the television. He paused the movie when he heard the guy with the food knock. He paid for it and made them both plates. He handed her her plate and sat down and kept the movie paused as they are. He smiled and said, "Unless you want to watch the movie while we eat." He was going to leave it up to her for tonight.

Holly had closed her eyes and wasn't really even paying any attention to the movie on the television. Her arms were wrapped around his arm and she let out a quiet whine when there was a knock at the door, reluctantly moving so that David could get up to get the food. She smiled slightly when he returned with the food and she reached out to take a sip of the now cooled off tea before she unwrapped her salad. She was quiet as she started to eat it, looking up to her boyfriend after a moment and shook her head. "No, we can watch it with the movie off. That way you can pay more attention to it," she answered in reply. She was quiet for a moment before looking up to David with a hopeful smile. "Is it alright if I have a few fries?" She asked, wanting just a few of his fries.
