No Escape

Stella woke up gasping for air, her body heaved as she began to throw up fluids that tasted salty a bit thicker than it shoulder. As she gasped for air she pressed her back against the container she was in that was slowly moving upwards, she saw another girl laying limply next to her. She touched her, "Hey, hey! Are you okay?" she asked as she looked at her then, as if on instinct checked her pulse. It was steady, maybe she had to wake up on her own like she did?

Stella didn't know what was going on, all she knew was she could barely see and they were surrounded by four cylinder drums, and about fifty crates full of supplies - what in the world was going on.

I choked, feeling my body convulse as I vomited this thick fluid. I coughed, attempting to clear my throat. What was happening? Why was I here? I saw a dim light and I felt myself being moved upwards. I saw another girl near be and I moved back away from her slightly, not expecting someone in the crate with me. "What's happening?" I asked her, my voice raspy from earlier.

"I don't know," she replied to her softly as the lid opened and she shielded her eyes from the bright light and blinked rapidly attempting to adjust to the lighting.

"Girls?" one of them said and jumped into the box.

Stella jumped, and looked at him then backed away from him with a scowl on her face as she moved to stand to her feet then went over to the other girl.

The other girl helped me up, or at least it was who I thought it was. The light was blinding after being in the hole for so long.

"Dibs!" One of the voices called out, earning groans from some of the others.
"Not fair!"
"You can't do that!"

I backed away to the back corner of the crate, wanting my eyes to adjust before I reacted to what was going on. I was so disoriented I couldn't stand it.

Stella scowled when the boys began talking, she looked at her,"Follow me okay, " she murmured softly to the other girl then climbed out the box by pulling herself out of it then holding her hand out to her ,"I'm here," she murmured and when she felt someone touch her, "Touch me again and I'll kill you," she said to him seriously.

"You guys know Alby would have you all banished if you put a hand on either of them," he snorted and walked over,"They're stupid, ignore them,"

I took her hand, climbing out of the box and sticking close to her. I felt a hand on my back that belonged to one of the guys and I jumped, turning to punch the person in the face. I felt my hand connect to their face and they fell, a hand to their face. It was instinct, but it served them right.

He watched silently from the back, seeing as the guys crowded around the other girls. "Why did they send up girls?" He asked in confusion. "That never happened before."

"come on," she said to her holding her hand out, she looked around at the surrounding, they were too closed in for her to defend them properly if she needed to , she pulled her up onto the grass then stood up.

"There is baby books in here," one said as he hopped in, "See that is what they sent them here for,"

"Like fucking hell," Stella said shocked that he was actually right, "My previous statement stands, touch me and I will kill you," she muttered as she looked around, she knew the other girl hadn't been awake as long as she had so she was still very out of it.

"Guys give them some space, you're making them nervous," he said to them.

I looked around seeing giant walls and feeling my head begin to spin. Why was I here? I couldn't remember anything. But I refused to allow anyone to touch me no matter what. I took her hand and attempted to move away from everyone but it felt like the crowd was closing in to get a better look. I felt my heart rate quicken in nervousness so I grabbed the nearest weapon and ran heading as far away from the others as possible.

She watched her run off, "Well there you go! Aren't you proud of yourselves now?!" she yelled at them, "you should all be ashamed of yourselves!" she said as she pushed through them then took off after her.

"Hey wait!" she said as she ran after her, "Wait, come back,"

"Idiots," he said sighing as he shook his head and jogged after them.

I kept running, seeing a tall structure and climbing. I got to the top and leaned against the wall keeping my head against my knees.

Liam shoved some of the others, making them go back to work. "Leave them alone, go back to work." He muttered as he looked at them. He followed them to the tower, trying to see if he could helo

She looked at the structure and climbed the ladder,"Hey," she said to her softly as she shut the door on it then sat ontop of it. "We're okay, alright they're not going to hurt us," she murmured gently as she looked at her.

"My name is Stella," she said to her gently.

He sighed as he waited at the bottle of the tower,"So where is Alby?" he asked Liam.

I looked at her in confusion. "Why am I here? I refuse to let any of them touch me. They need to send me back."

He shrugged. "Alby is probably being told about it now. Newt was the highest member there."

"I don't think they can," she murmured softly,"but we can take care of one another okay? I won't let anyone hurt you," she murmured softly as she licked her lips.

"We don't have to let them do anything, I'll make sure of this but.. I think I know what is going on here," she said to her gently. Stella vaguely remembered things, more like words spoken to her as if she were in a dream. Stella remembered them well, and it rang in her mind telling her to never forget what this was meant for.

"Do we know whats going on up there?" Alby asked as he walked over.

"The one girl is trying to console the other, she is a bit... scared.."Minho said, "rightfulyl so," he murmured.

I shook my head. "I can take care of myself. I just want to go back. I'm not moving unless that box is taking me back down." I muttered.

Liam nodded a bit. "The scared one took down Galby with one punch though. Once she calms down she'll be a force to be reckoned with. The other is pretty feisty, she immediately threatened the lives of anyone who touched her."

She looked at her,"We're not going back," she told her,"We're stuck here, why do you think they sent baby stuff, we're meant to be here to breed," she told her. The girl needed brute honesty as she looked at her the sighed.

"I'll give you time," she murmured, "but I'm starving and they have food, I'll bring you some once I have it,"

Stella climbed out of the tower then hopped down the last five feet looking at them, "Who is the leader her?" she asked and Alby stepped forward. "She is scared, obviously I am too. What the fuck is going on here?" she asked him.

Minho looked shocked at how demanding she was, then looked to Alby.

"Well we've been here for three years and not one thing has changed," he said to her, "Except now, there are girls, you two are the only girls here out of nearly fifty guys,.."

I rolled my eyes. I wouldn't dare let anyone touch me. Just because she was sent up with me didn't make her a friend of mine. I was going to get out of here. And I was sure the quickest way out of here was through those giant doors.

Liam nodded a bit. "It would be barbaric to have the guys choose anything. So we'll let you both decide on what you want to do."

"She is in no state to even think about that, and don't expect me to decide on anything either. Now tell me whats going on, whats with the doors, and the walls," she said to him.

Alby sighed,"Thats a maze out there, we've looked every day for three years," he told her,"We can't find a way out,"

She looked at him and sighed a little then rubbed her face,"Look we're hungry," she told them, "I dont even know when we last ate because all I know is my name,"

This loud scraping that hurt my ears sounded, and I watched as the giant doors shut. It amazed me that these things were able to close, especially since they looked old enough to be stuck in the walls forever. They amazed me to the point of shock, wanting to know what was on the other side.

I climbed down the structure, walking over to the wall. It had started closing ttoo quickly for me to make it to the wall before it closed, but I still wanted to know how it worked.

"Thats how we all start. We forget major details. Things return slowly but we end up taking one day at a time." Liam explained to her softly.

She nodded a little as she looked at him then sighed a little then rubbed her face, "Where is she going now?" she said with a sigh.

Alby sighed,"the gate," he said to her lightly then looked at her,"We'll get you both some food,"
