"As far as our date goes, I'll try my best," Leaning against his truck, she stood up on her tiptoes and kissed him slowly once more."So what happens when the boss's girlfriend gets in trouble?" She murmured against his lips giving him another deeply tender kiss. "Do I get a slap on the wrist and sent home? Or...a slap somewhere a little lower and sent to your home?" Her voice became quiet as she took his hand from her waist and slid it down her back resting on her behind. Looking up at him once more from beneath her eyelashes, her eyes sparkled in the setting sun.

Jake smiled happily at her words kissing her back. Grabbing his guitar, he slung it over his back and wrapped his arm around her shoulders pulling her close. "We're going to blow them away," he grinned as he walked into the bar holding the door for him. "First, I have a surprise for you," his grin widened as he brought her to his office. On his desk, he had a pair of light brown boots with pink and white stitching, a light brown cowgirl hat with a large pink bow tied around the top, and flask with her name elgoantly written on it in pink and white as well reflecting off of the the mirror plated canister. "Every cowboy needs a cowgirl..." He said shyly.

Shawn growled deep in his throat. He pushed her back against the truck nipping on her neck and picking her up his hands roughly grabbing her bottom. "Roxy Dawson..." he scolded as he kissed her deeply pressing his growing hard into her warmth. "Are you trying to be late to work because I would love to take you in the cab of my truck right here right now." he said and nibbled at her bottom lip. He smirked and pulled his lips away. He wanted her already and this was indeed going to be a long night. He kissed her head and tried to slow his breathing.

Anita smiled and blushed as she followed him. She walked in and looked on the desk gasping. "Jake..." she picked up the hat and put it on grinning. She giggled and hopped up to sit on the desk as she looked at the things he had given her. "Is this just an attempt to get me not to steal your hat?" she asked and put her hands on his chest. She grabbed his shirt and pulled him forward letting him rest there between her legs realizing somewhere in her mind that it caused her dress to ride up her thighs. Anita smiled and pecked his lips sweetly.

Roxy giggled and tucked one of his locks behind his ear before kissing him tenderly. "But Shawn, we can't be late to work, not ever...you're far too important," he whispered in his ear before placing a sweet kiss just below his earlobe. She let her hands drag along his shoulders resting at his biceps. "You would love to take me, right here, right now?" Her eyebrow raised in curiosity as she bit her lower lip trying not to smile. "But then all of the regulars are going to be upset. I always serve them, and they won't like it if I have your cologne lingering on me," her legs tightened around him pulling him closer letting him feel just how hot she was getting. "They always get so jealous..." Kissing him once more, she made sure her movements were slow sending an agonizing desire through him. It was true though, the only way Roxy wouldn't be stared at at work was if she was pregnant, even then they would call her a milf. Shawn groaned as her legs tightened around him. He kissed her neck and pressed her harder into the car. "Oh well in that case let's get this taken care of." he said and kissed her again his hands pushing her dress up. Jake took a deep breath trying to bring his desire to a halt before he moved too far. All he could do was nod and rest his forehead against hers keeping his eyes closed. What she didn't realize was that he hadn't seen his brother in so long and that they needed a reunion.

Roxy screamed his name repeatedly having never felt this much pleasure in her life. As he pulled her closer, her toes curled as her nails threatened to rip his shirt right off of his body. If she decides to stay, there isn't a question in his mind that he would get down on one knee and ask her to marry him at the first chance he got. She meant everything to him, and he wouldn't let h beer slip away.

Shawn growled and thrust harder into her as he drove her into her orgasm. Shawn felt her clench around him and he groaned his own orgasm triggering as she whispered to him. Anita smiled as they set up behind the curtain. Jake was looking out into the crowd. She came up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed his neck. "Talk to me." she said softly noticing how nervous he was. "What are you thinking?" she asked and placed her hands on his chest as he held her closely. It felt so very wonderful to be held by him.

Roxy smiled and caught her breath as he kissed her. Pulling him close, she gave him another long sweet kiss. "Come on cowboy," she grinned nodding her head towards the truck. Her eyes widened as she saw the mark he left on her neck. "Shawn!" She gasped as she looked at it closely. "With this you might as well have put a ring on my finger," her voice rang playfully as he got into his side of the truck. Winking, she reached over and laced their fingers together. "Who's playing tonight?" She asked curiously.

Jake frowned and pulled her closer to him. "I just...the last time I was on that stage was with my brother, and I haven't seen him in five years. I haven't even heard from him in that time. It makes me nervous knowing he'll probably be here tonight," his voice rang quietly as he leaned down and placed a sweet kiss on the top of her head before resting his on top of hers. "Having youvhere makes it so much easier though....thank you," he murmued into her hair tightening his arms around her for a moment.

Shawn smirked as he got in the cab of his truck and she gasped at him looking in the mirror at the mark he had left. "Good. " he smirked catching her hint but again they weren't ready for that. They needed to take this slow and though his body demanded her he would put her on hold for a little. They needed to just be a couple first. "He kissed her hand and started to drive. He sighed as she asked who was on tonight. "Jake Jackson... my brother." he said and continued to drive without looking over at her. He was worried about this tonight. There were other people that were singing at mic night but his brother had always been a big hit.

Anita hugged him and rubbed his back. "I am here for you. All you need to do is get through this okay? I will be with you the whole time." she said and kissed him gently as she pulled back. "Let's do this okay?" she asked knowing they had about ten minutes before they had to go on. She hoped that Jake got to talk to his brother tonight. He looked like he needed to. Anita wanted to support him as much as she could. She wanted him for achieve his dreams like she never would be able too.

Roxy rolled her eyes and gave his hand a squeeze after he placed a sweet kiss there. "Your brother?" She asked softly as she noticed he didn't say anything more about it. Not wanting to ask too much, she left it at that seeing if he volunteered anymore information. Running her thumb over the back of his hand, she added quietly, "if you want to talk about it, I'm here for you." Her voice was gentle and reassuring as she gave him a small sweet smile. Roxy would joke around with him about everything and anything, but when things were serious, she was as tender as they come making sure he had her full attention.

Jake nodded and kissed her back softly. "Anita...you don't have to say it back, and I don't want you to think you have to soon...but I just want you to know that...I love you," his voice was soft and sincere as his eyes held nothing but sweetness and love for her. A small smile played at his lips before he leaned forward and placed a delicate kiss on her forehead. Right now, Jake felt like he could break at any moment. Strapping his guitar on securely, he grinned widely at her. "They're not going to know what hit them," he winked as he nudged her side. "You ready?" His deep voice rang curiously.

Shawn pulled into a parking spot at the tavern. "Thanks sweets." he said softly and looked over at her. He thumb ran over the mark on her neck and he winked at her. "Now off to work with ya." he teased and kissed her gently. He got out and helped her out of his truck. "You are so beautiful." he said and smirked. "You need anything tonight let me know." he said and then lead her into the tavern. Shawn looked at the curtain knowing his brother was probably behind it tuning his guitar or something else. He went behind the bar for the best place for him to sit and listen.

Anita smiled softly and closed her eyes as he kissed her head. He would never know what that meant to her. Anita smiled and moved closer to him. She kissed his cheek and then watched as he got ready. She finished her water and adjusted her mic stand. She smiled and took off her hat. As much as she loved it this song required something a little different. she push a hand through her hair and sat on the stool beside Jake. "Here we go." she whispered hearing the pics turn on.

Roxy watched him as he ran his thumb over the mark. She smirked realizing what he had done and shook her head. After thanking him and going inside, she grabbed a tray slipped her apron on. As the curtain went up, she began filling orders and passing them around.

Jake took a deep breath and made sure to keep his eyes on Anita and the crowd no longer searching for his brother. She sparkled and on stage and took his breath away. Quickly returning his thoughts to the task at hand, he began strumming his guitar letting himself get lost in the music.

When Roxy came back to fill another order behind the bar, she watched Shawn's reaction at seeing his brother. She brushed her arm against his as reached for a glass reminding him that he wasn't alone through this.

Elli sat in the back row watching Jake on stage. This was the first time she had seen Jake since they broke up. Frowning, her heart broke as she saw the way he looked at Anita. Her eyes moved back to Shawn, and her world crumbled as she saw Roxy next to him and the mark on her neck. Why wasn't she good enough for them? She was always there for both boys, and now both men had broken her.

Shawn smiled as he felt Roxy beside him. He saw his brother looking at a very beautiful woman. He seemed lost in her. It was a beautiful heart wrenching song. He pulled Roxy close and wrapped his arms around her as the music went on. His brother's familiar voice and the beautiful voice of the stranger beside him. Shawn kissed Roxy's temple. He just needed to hold her for a little while. He leaned his head on her shoulder and sighed. He needed to talk to his brother. He had missed him. Despite everything that had happened between them he loved his little brother. And the woman at his side giving him eyes that Shawn only knew from Roxy as love.

Anita smiled turned toward Jake as the song started. She smiled and listened to him start the song. She grinned and then when the time was right she came in and sang with him their voices mixing and rising better then ever before. She grinned her heart swelling as she listened to his voice caress hers. The way he looked at her made her feel weak in the knees and she felt like she needed him now. Tonight was going to be a good night and she hoped that he would never forget it.

Roxy smiled softly as he pulled her over. She snuggled her back into his chest with her arms over his leaning against him as she watched. Her heart warmed at how in love the couple seemed. At the thought, her heart fluttered with hope that her and Shawn could be as in love as his brother and Anita were. She remembered the first day she had seen them together at the bar, not realizing Jake was Shawn's brother, but even then you could tell Jake had fallen for this girl head over heels.
There was no doubt in her mind that Shawn cared for her and that they needed to take things slow, but especially listening to this song with him here made her want nothing more than to curl up in his arms forever. As he leaned his head on her shoulder, a sweet smile came to her face as she took her turn kissing his cheek softly and nuzzling her nose a little against the kiss she just left. Turning back to Jake and Anita, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Jake smiled widely at Anita feeling as if their souls were combined into one through the music. It was like a bolt of electricity shot through him making butterflies flutter head to toe for him. This was perfect, and in that moment, he no longer had any doubt in his mind that Anita was his soul mate. He didn't care what he had to do, but either she was staying or he was going with her.

As the sing finished, the crowd all stood up and cheered. They whistled, clapped, and howled. Swinging his guitar around to his back, Jake took Anita in his arms and lifted her up spinning her around just as Johnny Cash had after asking June Carter to marry him on stage. Setting her back down a few moments later, he placed the most tender kiss on her lips feeling himself shake with emotion.

Shawn smiled at her and kissed her back holding her tighter. It was a wonderful moment. This was why he had created open mic night. He really needed to meet this girl that his brother had fallen in love with. He had never shared his music with Elli. He only shared his music with him and their mama. They had done one stage performance and it had been a hit but they weren't made to do music together for long. This girl seemed to be the one though that could make Jake's music carrier take off because she gave him the confidence he needed. Shawn already liked the girl and didn't even know her name.

Anita squealed as the song came to an end and he took her into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck smiling as he spun her in the air like she weighed no more than a small child. She grinned as he set her back down and she kissed him. Anita let her legs curl up as he held her up for a moment before she put her legs back on the ground. She felt like she could cry. Anita was falling for him even though she knew that she shouldn't. Anita grinned as she pulled back and took his hand. "We did it." she said and moved off the stage. They hadn't prepared anything else. Any other music would be done by him or by other singers but she wasn't ready to do another. What she really wanted was to meet his brother.

Jake smiled and ran off the stage with her. "We did it!" He exclaimed happily as he hugged her tightly before giving her a long and tender kiss. Pulling back, his eyes moved to his big brother. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he held onto Anita a little tighter. He made eye contact with Shawn and couldn't help but bring her closer to him.

Roxy looked up at Shawn happily. "You're brother is absolutely amazing...and I think someone wants to talk to you," she said as she squeeze his arms for a moment.

"Do...do you want to meet my brother?" Jake asked softly as he looked back down at Anita. His face turned pale with nerves t the thought of speaking to his brother for the first time in years.

Anita smiled at him. She noticed his reaction as his eyes landed on his brother. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed his cheek. "Yes... I would like that... only if you are ready." she said softly. Anita clung to him hoping to give him the reassurance that he needed that he was not alone and that she was here for him. Anita looked at the man that was holding a beautiful woman in his arms looking as pale and worried as Jake did. "It's going to be okay." she soothed.

Shawn watched his brother come off stage and their eyes met. He sighed and kissed Roxy. "I should let you get back to work." he said softly and let her go his hands moving over her body gently before stepping back . "I think he does want to talk but I think I need to do this one alone this time... next time I want to introduce you as my girlfriend." he said and smiled kissing her softly. "Let me know if you need anything dear okay? We're going to my office." he said and looked at his brother nodding to the office.

Roxy nodded and leaned into his touch as his hands ran over her gently. She kissed him back softly and smiled at his words calling her his girlfriend. "I'll be fine. Go talk with your brother...and remember, I'm here if youuu need anything," her voice rang sincerely as she gave him a lovingly look. "It'll be ok. Afterwards, I'll buy you a milkshake," Blushing softly, she picked her tray back up and headed out to work.

Jake nodded back at his brother and gripped Anita's hand tightly. "Ya...who's he with?" He murmured as he watched his brother interact with her. Taking a deep breath, Jake lead her to the office waiting for his brother. Sitting against the desk, his arm remained around Anita as he held her close to him enjoying the support he gave her emotionally and physically.

Shawn smiled. "Oh I don't think I will need to buy it." he winked playfully then sighed and ran a hand through his hair and moved back to his office. He closed the door and smiled softly at the girl leaning against his brother. "Hey Jakey." he said softly and looked over at his brother. "Great job tonight... I have never heard you do an original." he said and stood there awkwardly. He didn't know what to do here. He wondered if Jake had told the girl what had happened between them. It was old news now but they still had to fix their relationship.

Anita smiled softly at Jake. "That is probably what he is asking her about me." she chuckled and kissed his cheek. She walked with him holding his hand. He needed her for this and she was only happy to be there for him. Anita leaned back into him as he wrapped his arms around her. Anita smiled and held onto him too. When his brother came in she smiled at him. Jake... it was a cute nickname and she liked it... a lot. Anita smiled and kissed Jake's cheek and took his hand taking him to the couch to sit him down. She then curled her finger at Shawn to join them. Anita sat on the arm by Jake as Shawn came to sit down as well.
