Hold On Tight

('If it was up to me we'd just leave him there and be happy we were rid of him, but Lorna's insisting that we need him for some reason.' *behind his back Georgia gives Lorna $5*)

Georgia handed over the phones when they reached the jet, before turning to the other two and reporting back, "Danger handed over the bad guys to the cops, but I took their phones first in case there's any clues on them to where Gambit is."

Lorna nodded and gave Georgia a quick smile. She headed to the pilot's seat and readied the jet for take off.
"Everyone ready to leave?"

(lol! I think Lorna likes her team the way it is to leave behind anyone lol)

Danger took the phone and wasted no time hacking into them and downloading all the information.

Pietro just groaned. "I've been ready. You are all just too slow."

(Yeah. And Pietro won't admit it but he quite likes having Remy around too. Imagining his reaction at finding out the rest of the team has been betting on how long it takes him and Remy to sleep together is pretty funny. )

"Shut up, Pietro," Lorna shot back, flicking a few switches and then pushing the throttle lever once everyone was strapped in. She tapped a button on the screen that opened up a line of communication to Serval HQ and informed them that they were flying back to base.

(Cypher had to explain to Danger that people don't tend to sleep together right away, because she was betting that it already happened. XD)

"I'm just saying that if I didn't have to wait for everyone I think I would have found Remy already." He wouldn't admit it, but Pietro was concerned over his teammate. Not too concerned, because this seemed to happen often with Remy.

"I have a name." Danger suddenly spoke, "But no location. The name I keep seeing is Maximus."

"Why does that name ring a bell?" Lorna asked.

Remy woke up in a cell, naked apart from his boxers, and chained to the wall.
"Mon dieu. Why does this keep happening to me?" He looked around, inspecting the little he could see outside the small room he was in, but didn't recognise his surroundings.

Danger was on one of the computers on the ship and was going through their files until she found a villain by the name Maximus. She pulled up his picture and a small description of his abilities and his crimes. "Maximus, insane genius, brother of Black Bo-"

Danger was cut off with the slam of Pietro's fist. "What is he doing here? What is he doing with Remy?" He got up from his seat and started pacing back and forth. "He was always bothering my wife and her family."

"Did you piss him off?" Lorna asked, glancing back over her shoulder briefly. An Inhuman kidnapping one of their team members couldn't be a coincidence, not after the press conference where Pietro admitted to lying to them and also gave everyone his location.

Pietro groaned. He hadn't done anything. There was no reason for Maximus to attack X-Factor. His sister to be accusing him made him even more angry. "No." He said between clenched teeth. NNothing more. He couldn't say anything more or else he would completely lose his temper.

((BBTW I know like nothing about Maximus, but do you want me to rp him with Remy?))

(I know nothing about him either except he has mind control powers Lol. And sure go for it.)

"Anyone else managed to piss off an insane inhuman?" Lorna asked the team, "Or have any idea why he's taken Gambit? Although I suppose it could easily be our thief he has the problem with. That wouldn't surprise me at all."

Pietro shrugged. From what he remembered of Maximus was that when not ordered around by the queen Medusa he tended to run wild and do whatever he pleased. Pietro felt like this was one of the cases. But why now? Why Remy.

Maximus walked slowly up to Remy, his hands cupped behind his back. "Good evening, Mr. Le beau. I hope you are finding comfort in your acommodation. " There was no sincerity in his words, since there could be no comfort when one is mostly naked and tied up.

Lorna set the jet down, turned off the engine and then got to her feet.
"Let's go and see if Doug can shed some light on the situation. He and Warlock should be back now."

"Oh yeah, I'm living like a king here homme," Remy snarked, not recognising the other man past a vague idea he was related to the inhumans somehow.

Once the jet was down Pietro was off the jet and in the building going through their database to see if there was any information on Maximus location.

"Remy," Maximus spoke softly, "I need you to do something for me. You see, Pietro has hurt my cousin so much and she dearly misses her daughter. So I need you to hurt him and bring Luna back home. Can you do that for me?"

And just like that Remy found himself pushed to the back corners of his mind, able to see and hear everything but unable to do anything about it or break Maximus' control over him. He nodded and held his hands out so the other man could unlock the manacles around his wrists.

Maximus strengthened his control on Gambit. He needed to keep him locked in tight, making sure to not lose control of him any time too soon. When he was certain that Remy wouldn't break control Maximus undid the locks. He was debating on what to do first, kidnap Luna or lure Pietro out. It took him only a moment to decide. If he had anyone else he would have worked on luring Pietro out, but this was Remy a renowned thief. He will have him kidnap Luna, bring her back and get Quicksilver to come alone. "In a few hours I will take you to Serval and I need you to get Luna back. No one can know."

Once the manacles were removed, Remy crossed to the alcove across the corridor from his cell and started putting his clothes back on. Maximus didn't trust him not to have lockpicks or other potentially dangerous items hidden in his clothing but while the thief was under his control it didn't matter. And sending him out to kidnap Luna whilst mostly naked would obviously draw attention.

Pietro didn't want to seem like he was worried, but he unsettled by the fact that it was Maximus, come all this way for what? He knew that it wasn't anything specific to Gambit, doubted that Maximus even knew who Remy was. So it had to involve him. But he had already done his time for his crimes. So what could it be now. "Lorna?" He said, appearing right next to his younger sister. "Any sign of Remy or Maximus yet?"

Lorna shook her head, "There's no sign of them. Unfortunately Remy wasn't in uniform so we can't track him." She glanced over at where Doug and Warlock were intently looking at something on the screen, before turning back to her brother.
"We'll find him."

"I don't care if we find him. I just want to know what Maximus is up to. It is never good whenever he shows up here and stops following Medusa's orders." Half truths. Honestly he was starting to get used to having the cajun around, but he wasn't going to let anyone know that.

"Come." Maximus spoke to Remy, before making his way out of the room. "We will now be taking you back to Serval. Make sure my little cousin is back safely to us as my sweet Crystal misses her so much." Sweet, tender lies. He didn't care about the state in which Luna was returned, much less even knew if Crystal wanted her back, though he had no intentions on returning Luna to his cousin. He was going to keep her to make Pietro pay for everything he ad done to their family.

Lorna (and everyone else on the team) knew that Pietro liked Remy more than he let on, but she wasn't going to comment on it, not now when something this serious was going on. She nodded in agreement at her brother's words, before crossing over to the computer when Doug suddenly waved them over.
"I think we've found something," Doug said, pointing at a point on the map he had open in one corner of the screen, "It looks like the portal came out here."

Remy followed Maximus, making sure to take in everything he could about his surroundings, even if he couldn't do or say anything. It might come in useful later on, or provide him with the means to escape. Maybe when he was back at Serval, Maximus' control over him would weaken enough for Remy to get a message to one of the others, or even if it came to it, one of his team mates would be able to knock him out and prevent him carrying out the Inhuman's plan.

Pietro ran over to Doug's side. In the rush he ended up pushing Doug to the side since he was in a roller chair. He started typing some stuff onto the computer, zooming in on the location. "Where is that?" He mumbled to himself. It looked like just another warehouse. He then did a bit more typing and got access to the surveillance cameras in the area. All he saw was a van leaving and that was it.

Maximus quickly loaded Remy into the back of the van. He joined him there, making sure not to lose his control over Remy. "When you grab Luna you bring her back here and then we will use a portal to leave the area. It has to be fast or else Pietro will catch us."
