Camilla flinched as he spoke with such hate. She pressed her back against the wall having only just understood that he had literally backed her into the wall. She shook her head. "Stop it!" she yelled tears streaming down her face. "I didn't mean to! I am sorry! I didn't know!" she put her face in her hands and sobbed. Camilla really hadn't meant to hurt anyone and she didn't know how to fix it. She wished there was something she could do but it was her fault. People had died because she had believed her sister would listen to her and wouldn't take action against her new country. Camilla felt awful and it was hurting her to know she could never undo her mistake. "It was a mistake..." she sobbed.
Felix nodded and smiled. "Let me escort you have to your room." he said and kissed her hand laying it on his arm as he walked her back to her room. "It's all going to work out just fine." he said and stopped at her door Jace nudged the door wanting to get in and he chuckled. "Goodnight sweet princess." he winked at her and then watched her go into her room turning and returning to his own room. He was glad that they would finally be moving on. He couldn't even express how excited he was that she was actually going to be his queen and not continue to fight him.

"Things like this don't just happen by mistake Camilla!" Phillip snapped at her as close to her as he possible could. There was barely any space between them. He started to shake in fury. His hands started to ball up into fists. He forced his hands open, knowing better than to hit Camilla. Even with everything she had done, she was still a princess and Phillip did not care for the idea of having his head cut off. But he did reach up, grabbing her shoulders and started to shake her. He wanted answers and she was not providing them fast enough for him. "Why did you do it!" He started to yell.

Nicholas opened the door at this moment. He was coming down to tell Camilla the good news, but had gotten worried when he heard screaming from the other side of the door. His eyes wide as he saw Phillip shaking his fiance. Storming through the room, Nicholas grabbed Phillip by the back of the shirt and threw him off of Camilla. Rage now flowing through him as he shoved his friend into a wall. "What do you think you are doing?" He yelled at him.
Charlotte watched Felix walk off before she turned and headed into her room. After giving Jace a little more attention, Charlotte sat down at her desk and started to write a letter to her sister.

    Dearest sister,

I am not sure that I deserve your forgiveness, but I know you deserve my sincerest apology. I have wronged you, and your new home in the worst way and I do not know what I could do to make this wrong right. When you had asked for my restraint, I had rushed ahead. My only thoughts had been on getting back home and doing what was right for our country. Though, even with those in the forefront of my mind, I had done wrong. I had done wrong by our home country, our new homes, and by you. I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me, for I would be devastated to lose the person who matters to me most. But I understand if you need time or if you need me to prove myself through my actions.

I also hope that you still plan on visiting our home. Felix and I will be heading our way there soon and I hope to see you.

    Love,
    Charlotte

Once the letter was completed, Charlotte sealed it and handed it to a servant. She had purposely left out a lot of what was happening on her side, wanting to focus on apologizing to Camilla.

Camilla tensed up her hands covering her face. When Phillip was pulled away from her she crumped to the floor and cried silently. She was so desiccated. She had killed people with her actions and how would the people ever forgive her if Phillip could not. He would never trust her with the country. She pulled herself into a ball and let it all come out.

Phillip frowned as Nicholas pinned him to the wall he sobs of Camilla only angering him more. "She's hiding something Nicholas and you refuse to see it! She has killed people, your people! Why are you so eager to forgive her to put her in a position to destroy you? I am trying to save you from the pain!" Phillip said out of his mind with anger.
The next day Felix was in his study waiting for Charlotte working on something he could easily put to the side when she came He was excited to see her flower choices. It was a big deal to his country. He hoped that her letter had gone well the night before and that the deliveries will be swift. He knew her relationship with her sister weighed heavily on her mind. He was excited that they would be going to her country soon. It would give her a chance to breath and let him do some of the work for a change. He had been brushing up on his own studies for her country seeing a lot that they would be able to melt together wonderfully.

Nicholas shook Phillip, wanting the man to shut up. "Close your damn mouth Phillip. You clearly have no understanding of what it is like to be royalty, much less rule a country. And you do not know Camilla like I know her. If you had an ounce of knowledge of either, you wouldn't be doing this right now." He chucked his friend on the floor and stood over him.

"You do not understand what it is like to have a country look up to you. The mere responsibility of it all is overbearing. Though you want to talk about body count? What about all of the people my actions have killed? In just the war itself, while protecting my people, they had to die. While doing right by my country, my decisions killed those Princess Camilla had under her family's protection. And those were decisions where I knew the cost." Nicholas pointed to Camilla. "Her letters show that she was trying to do right by both her country and mine. Her actions were misguided but I can not fault her for making a mistake when I have made so many myself."

"I know in my heart, and now with those letters, that she is the one for me. Camilla is kind and caring and is willing to work hard. She will need to learn how to rule, but once she does I know she will be an asset to my people. And I know that Camilla will only raise me and my country up." Nicholas snapped at Phillip. "Now the question is, do you trust me enough to follow what I think is best for me and my people?"
That morning, Charlotte had been down in the greenhouse, re choosing the flowers for the wedding. A little after lunch, she came up to Felix's office and knocked on his door. Excitement filled her body as he told her to come into the room. Quickly, Charlotte slid into the room, closing the door behind her as she did so. One hand was behind her back and as she walked up to Felix, it whipped around, showing four flowers in her hand. "No one saw." Charlotte assured him before handing him the four. "These are the ones I have narrowed it down to."

The woman than proceeded to point out each flower and give it's meaning. "The Hydrangeas, to express gratitude for being understood. Gladiolus for faithfulness and honor. Alstroemeria symbolizes wealth, prosperity and fortune. Lastly, a Peony symbolizes a happy life, happy marriage, good health and prosperity."

Phillip frowned. It wasn't a matter of trusting him. Camilla was the one that betrayed them but he could see from his friends face that any more argument would land him in hot water, as it was he was already being lenient on him. Phillip sat up and nodded. "Yes my liege." he said and waited until Phillip let him up before standing and taking his pardon. Phillip dared not to look back but knew he would not meet the princess with any good tiding. He would not make this easy for her. If she wanted to rule the country she was going to have a hard time with him on the court.

Camilla looked up as Nicholas stood before her and rubbed her eyes. She hiccuped and looked down. She probably looked like a mess and his words had brought comfort to her as well but still she feared no one else would see it like that. Camilla was glad Nicholas saw her the way he did. She sniffled and pushed her hair back. "Did you mean it?" she asked softly. Did he really believe in her and believe she was the one for him?
Felix smiled as Charlotte joined him. He grinned as she brought out her hidden flowers. He knew their meanings instantly and smiled wider as she went over them with him. He nodded and smiled more. "I love them." he said and would happily have whatever they needed specially ordered in and preserved if need be. This was the message she needed to send to the people and he would make it happen. "I am proud of you." he said and kissed her cheek. "I was just reading up on your customs." he said and chuckled. "Is it something you always do shooting an arrow through a hop? It really does seem like a theme." he chuckled and smiled at her. Felix was excited to visit her country.

Nicholas waited until Phillip was gone to turn to Camilla. He was a little flustered, having to turn from yelling at his closest friend to reassuring his fiancee. It took him a moment to calm down, though once he had done so, he gave Camilla a gentle smile. "Yes, I did mean it." Nicholas told her softly, taking taking a few steps towards her. Once he was closer, Nicholas reached up and gently wiped the tears from her eyes and cheeks. "I believe you and now I have the evidence to prove it to my country as well. The next few months will be rough but everything will be okay."

He looked over Camilla, worry on his face and he did so. It seemed that Phillip had not physically injured her but it was clear that she was thrown off from the situation. Nicholas knew he would need to deal with Phillip. He didn't want this to continue to happen nor did he want his best friend to start tell undermine Camilla once this was over. "Are you okay?"
Charlotte let out a light laugh and nodded. "Yes, that is pretty normal but I would be the one shooting the arrow." She told him with a large smile. Reaching over Felix, Charlotte grabbed the book he was reading and started to flip to the marriage customs. "There are a couple of things that we'll need to do for the wedding, once we get there. I'll have to go take care of the dress. My father is hosting a feast for you to meet everyone. You'll have to go on a hunt with the nobles, which is tradition... if you don't catch anything it's considered bad luck. The nobles will bring engagment gifts to me. For you, they'll bring gems. You'll be expected to pick one and that will be placed in the wedding ring. It's a high honor so we'll need to talk about who you can and can't pick from. When this happens, you'll be in the throne room and expected to pick on the spot so I won't be there to help you. My father will be, however. The other gems that are brought will actually be sold and the money will be used for charities."

Charlotte smiled at him gently. "There are also traditions day of but we can talk about those later."

Camilla sniffled and leaned into him letting the tears fall. She clung to him and just let herself not be okay for a while. When her tears dried up she nodded softly. "I will be... I just... I can't stop thinking about those people who..." she choked up. She knew it wasn't something perhaps she should share with Nicholas. She had to deal with the consequences herself like she was suppose to but she just didn't see how she would be able to get over it like this. Phillip had pushed the ugly truth into her face. She ran her hands through her hair and sat back. "I'm sorry." she said and wiped her face off from her tears. She knew it was going to be a rough few months and she didn't know how she was going to get through it but she knew that by the end of it she would be married to Nicholas.
Felix laughed and nodded. "Sure you get the cool stuff and I get to pick out fancy rocks... kind of." he winked at her teasing. It was normal for them to only have people they could actually work with while letting the others believe they where being worked with as a noble. "I hope that I get to go out and see your country before I have to figure out how to shoot in it." he winked at her. He really didn't like hunting but he understood it. He smiled and nodded. "That is good. It will be amazing. I am really looking forward to being in your country." he said and smiled. "Alright I will need your guidance on all your traditions." he said and smiled kissing her cheek. "I think it would be more fun to hear it from you anyways."

As Camilla got ahold of him, Nicholas wrapped his arms around her tightly. Gently, he rubbed her back and just allowed Camilla to cry it out. Once she was ready, he reached down and gently cupped her face in his hand. His thumb rubbing against her cheek. It was easy to understand why she was upset, he had been there before. Most leaders felt the way she did at some point. "It is okay and I understand how you feel." Nicholas whispered to her. "Ruling is...difficult at times, sometimes heartbreaking. The decisions you make affect a nation, and sometimes the choices we make have the worst outcomes. We try to do our best but sometimes we make mistakes and other times there is no good choice. My family and I will teach you how so we can avoid this outcome, but unfortunately we are destined to make mistakes."
Charlotte let out a laugh. "The gifts are for both of us but they have to present them to me. I am their future Queen and you haven't received your titles there yet. Another thing we will need to do but that can wait until after the wedding since you are a future King in your own right. But it will need to be done before our coronations." Charlotte smiled as Nicholas kissed her cheek. She reached down, taking his hand in hers. "And we will be visiting the country a little before we head to the castle since it is on the way. Plus there are some things I want to show you a few things when we are there."

Charlotte then moved her head up and pressed her lips against his cheek gently, her smile widening as she did so. It felt amazing to be able to kiss him without the guilt. She was amazed with how much she liked him. "And I'll guide you with my country like you guide me with yours."

Camilla shook her head. "I was never raised to do this. It was always my sisters job. I was suppose to support her, marry a noble and be happy. But now I have to be this... and I can't trust anyone. Why would want this?" she asked leaned her head into his hand closing her eyes. "I am sorry I am just upset. I will be better tomorrow." Camilla said after a while. Camilla really wanted to go to her sister for all these problems but her sister was the one who had put her here. Camilla had never been threatened like this before, had never felt like she could trust no one. Her world had changed. Camilla would reach out to the queen tomorrow. She might not be the best person to go to with everything going on but she was the only one she knew who she could trust and was at one point in a similar situation as a woman. Camilla felt the knot in her throat making her feel like she wanted to cry again but she would not for Nicholas's sake. He deserved better than all this and her doubt and pain was not his problem. He might be her fiancee but she had destroyed the lives of his people. "I will learn." Camilla promised. "I am sorry you had to deal with all of this on top of everything else that is going on right now. "How is your father?" she asked and looked up at him and gently caressed his cheek brushing back the ends of his hair.
Felix smiled and chuckled. "I think your country is really big on tradition more so than mine." he said and sighed. He was excited to see her country and he nodded. She pressed a kiss to his cheek and he smiled looking at her. "You finally look happy my bride." he said and suddenly pulled her into his lap and caressed her cheek. He knew it was improper but she was so stunning right now he couldn't help himself. He wanted to be near her more. "What do you have planned with the nobles today?" he asked knowing she probably had to start over now with all of them and wondered how he might help her with that.

Nicholas was quiet for a moment as he thought Camilla's words through. He hesitated for a moment before looking back into Camilla's eyes. "I won't say that I particularly like your sister after everything, and I am sure that she doesn't like me much either. However, you could always send her a letter, ask for her help and advice." Reaching up, Nicholas gently ran his fingers through her hair slowly. "I will be here for you and so will my mother. We will help you in any way that we can...but your sister knows you better than either of us. She might be able to understand how you feel and help you." He let out a small sigh. Nicholas did not like Charlotte, but he still respected her. And he couldn't quite blame her for destroying the food supply after everything he had done to her own people. Though the thought of it made him sick to his stomach.

"Anyways..." Nicholas cleared his throat, now ready to move onto something else. Though this new subject was not any happier. "He is doing worse, unfortunately. The doctors are no longer sure that he will make it another month." He dropped his head a little, his hands now moving down onto Camilla's waist, holding her tightly.
Charlotte let out a gasp as Felix pulled her down onto his lap. Though once she was settled, she smiled up at him brightly, a warm blush moving across her face. She was so unused to the closeness, especially since this type of thing would not happen at home. But there was something about it that she liked. Her arms slowly wrapped around his neck. Being close to him just felt so right. Everything about Felix just felt right. "That is because I am happy." She whispered to Felix. Her fingers pressed against the back of his neck softly. "You make me happy, Felix." Charlotte leaned up a little, moving her face closer to his but still keeping their lips apart. "I do not have anything planned with the nobles today. Thought I would give everyone a day before I started to talk to them all again. I do have a lot of meetings tomorrow, however."

Camilla nodded grateful for his trust in her to talk to her sister. She understood that it was something that he had to trust her with now since everything happened. "Thank you Nicholas but I think it might be a while before I trust her again." she admitted and was grateful he moved on yet sad to hear the news. Camilla nodded and let him pull her into him. They both sat here on the floor of her room embracing each other. Camilla ran her fingers into his hair holding him to her silent for a long while as they stayed close to each other. "I'm sorry." she whispered and kissed his head before leaning her head to his. She knew there was nothing she could do to help but she did want to see him. He was her father in law and the king, his wisdom was immeasurable. She realized that with his failing health her impending marriage and coronation moved ever closer. It was awful the way power shifted from one to another on such an occasion as death. Camilla wished she had something better to help Nicholas. "I must admit with everything else I did not work as intensely on the wedding as I should have. I will have to play some catch up in a lot of areas." she admitted and was glad she had been using the time to study though. Camilla at least was a head in that, almost done now. Granted she would always be learning but she was almost through the really important stuff. Camilla looked at Nicholas and cupped his cheek. "Is there anything I can help with?" she asked knowing they had so much to do tomorrow and Nicholas had work to do to prepare for that, for her but today seemed like a day for preparation.
Felix chuckled and looked over her beautiful face. He smiled wider as she said she was happy. He was so glad to hear it and even more happy to hear he had a hand in that. "Good." he said and let her move them closer. Felix closed his eyes and leaned his forehead forward and pressed to her. She told him her plan and smiled softly not moving. "I think that is a perfect plan. Who are you meeting with first tomorrow?" he asked. Felix knew he was overly involved where a lot of people wouldn't be but he was here to support and help and believed he couldn't do that efficiently unless he knew everything and was involved. Felix looked up at Charlotte and smiled. He truly believed in her and knew that if left to herself she would succeed but he did not want her to stumble with something he could have helped her with.

Nicholas nodded to Camilla, actually rather pleased with Camilla's words. While he knew it was selfish, Nicholas did not want Camilla speaking to her sister, at least not yet. He still needed time to fully trust Camilla again and having her speak to Charlotte would have thrown him off a bit. But Nicholas did know deep down that Camilla would need her sister at some point.

A small sigh left Nicholas' mouth as Camilla offered her help. There was a lot that he needed help with, but at the moment he couldn't allow Camilla to help him. Things needed to be cleared up with the court first and it would be best if Camilla did more lessons and less hands on items until the whole situation blew over. "Thank you, my dear, but I am afraid there is not a lot for you to do at the moment." Nicholas whispered as he leaned his head into her hand. "Please just focus on your speech for the court tomorrow and then we can go from there. I just need you to be settled. But thank you for the offer." Nicholas ran his hands up and down her back, his eyes closing. This was an extremely difficult time for him, and if he could at least get this Camilla issue finished, then he could focus on his father.
Charlotte closed her eyes as their heads pressed together. She let out a small pleasant hum as she started to slowly and gently play with his hair. Her body completely relaxed against him, enjoying this moment. "I thought that I would meet with Lord Reisa. I already know that he is one of my biggest opponents so if I could talk to him before he really started fighting against me, perhaps things won't spiral as bad. Plus at least I will learn the worst of what people thing and be able to work against it from there." She knew that the meeting with him was not going to be easy and Charlotte knew that it would be nearly impossible to turn Lord Reisa around, but she hoped she could get him to at least not fight against her publicly.

Camilla nodded. It pained her that she could not be a help during this time because of what had happened but she knew Nicholas was grateful for her anyways. It was an odd feeling snd she wasn't sure whens he would stop feeling guilty for all of this. Camilla pulled him back into her arms caressing him gently her hands in his hair and running down his back as innocent as she might be comforting a child. She would make sure she was ready for the speech tomorrow. She was so nervous but she knew that this was just something that had to do done and whatever the result that she and Nicholas would deal with once the speech was over. Camilla sat back after a while and smiled softly at him. "Thank you Nicholas." she said softly and blushed standing finally her legs sore from being on the ground do long. She took his hand as he stood and looked up at him. "It is getting late now, you need your rest. Tomorrow we will continue to resolve this and then I can be of service to you." she said softly and bit her lip. "Nicholas... you don't think anyone else will bother me tonight?" she asked softly still feeling unsafe. She would not be getting sleep tonight.
Felix nodded. "Yes I can see why you would want to start with the most difficult but Charlotte if he treats any problems for you I want to hear of it. I promise to talk with you before doing anything but you must keep talking to me on everything okay?" he asked her softly worry on his face. He believed completely in Charlotte but he also knew that nobles could be cruel on the best of days and this was not the best situation for her. Felix knew if anyone could turn Lord Reisa around that it would be Charlotte and he was excited to watch her try. Her resilience and determination were a pleasure to him. Felix smiled softly and leaned his head into her hands. He did so enjoy her touch.

Nicholas closed his eyes and just allowed Camilla to console him. Life was difficult at the moment, and he craved her comfort. It was unfortunate, especially since he had thought things would lighten up after the war and that clearly did not happen. Would things ever be calm again? It felt unlikely since Nicholas was going to be sitting on the throne soon, and his most trusted mentor would be gone...

As Camilla pulled away, Nicholas felt the need to pull her back to him, but he knew better. She was right, he needed to sleep and so did she. So, instead, Nicholas took Camilla's hand and moved up onto his feet. In the least, Nicholas wanted to take these last few moments for himself. Moving back into Camilla's body, he moved his hand against her cheek, his thumb running along her soft skin. "No one else will come bother you. The guards only allowed Phillip in because of who he was but I will let them know not to do so anymore." Nicholas leaned down and pressed a kiss against her forehead. "You are safe."
"I will tell you what happens with Lord Reisa." Charlotte whispered to him. She knew it was more likely for the meeting to turn sour than sweet. But with the meeting with him, she was hoping she could get more information to turn the other nobles back to her side. Or at least not against her. It was going to be a very long day tomorrow. "Though no matter what he does, it is best that we do not react hastily and based on our emotions. I am rather sure he will still hate me after tomorrow. So if we need to deal with him, I rather us be thoughtful."

A smile more across Charlotte's lips as Felix leaned back into her hands. She spread her fingers out a bit, playing with more of his hair. Her fingers were getting a bit more tangled up in his hair. "Are you enjoying this?" Charlotte said with a little smirk, already knowing the answer.

Camilla leaned into Nicholas as he stepped closer to her. She leaned her head into his hand and closed her eyes. She listened to his words and nodded. She was very glad Nicholas was the man that he was. She realized after this incident with Phillip how lucky she was to have him. Nicholas was a strong and yet gentle man. He would not hurt her purposefully. Camilla wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her free cheek to his chest closing her eyes. "Thank you Nicholas." she said softly and stood there listening to her heart. He was an amazing man and would be an even better king. She just hoped that she would be the kind of queen that he and his kingdom needed.
Felix nodded. "I know, and we will deal with him together with tact. I simply mean if he completely steps out of line acting in his own emotions then I need to protect you first. I know not all of my nobles are well behaved." Felix chuckled and closed his eyes as she ran her fingers further into his hair. "Yes my princess I do so enjoy your touch." he admitted a smile on his lips. Felix grinned and ran his hand up her back. "It is a shame the wedding is so far away. I feel we have grown so close already." he said a playful grin on his lips. Felix had never been really good at waiting. He was patient when it came to a need for strategizing but to just simply wait with no real important reason for it made him antsy. He looked up at Charlotte wondering what else they needed to meet on. He truly wanted her to stay with him but he had duties he needed to see to as well.

Nicholas stood there with her, taking Camilla in as much as he could in that minute. Though after it had passed, he slowly pulled away from her, but placed a kiss on her forehead before he had done so. As much as he didn't want to leave her, Nicholas knew that he should. It was for the best even if they both disagreed. "Sleep well, Camilla. I will come see you in the morning." Now letting go of her completely, Nicholas headed out of the door. At which point, he spoke to the guards to ensure no one else besides himself and his parents would come disturb her. After that, Nicholas headed to his own room to get much needed rest.
Charlotte was quiet for a moment. She supposed that it would be possible for one of the nobles to really step out of line, after everything that had happened. It was not something that she was used to having as a possibility. Unfortunately, she did open this up to herself and it was up to her to close that option. Of course, Felix would help her in doing so but if she misstepped, it was her own fault. "I hope that will not happen but I suppose I will find out tomorrow." Charlotte said with a light sigh.

Her thoughts on the lords though were quick to disappear with Felix's words. She let out a warm laugh, her hands now moving out of his hair as her arms wrapped around his neck. "I feel we have grown close as well." Charlotte purred back before teasing him. "And the wedding is far so you'll have to be patient."

Camilla smiled as he pulled away and kissed her head. "Good night Nicholas." she said softly. "Sleep well." she said and watched him leave. Once the door was closed she turned to her dressing and got ready for bed. She sighed and knew tonight she was not going to sleep well despite Nicholas's reassurance. It disturbed her in a way that the guards had not assisted her when she was in obvious distress but then this was not her country and this was not their job. He had not physically touched her until he started to shake her but then Nicholas came in. Camilla sighed trying to push the memory from her mind just for tonight. She slipped into bed and lay there hoping at lease she would get some sleep.
Felix chuckled and sighed. He was glad she felt they had grown closer as well. He smiled and kissed her cheek. "Very well. I will wait patiently for you... as much as I can at least." he said and chuckled. Felix sat back in his seat and ran his hand through the tips of her hair. "It might drive me mad though." he teased. He knew there was little else they could do right now. They had to wait until she started to meet with nobles. He could try and smooth the way all he liked but until she worked on the nobles there was nothing more he could help her with.

As the sun rose, Nicholas woke from his sleep. For the most part, he had slept well. His body had needed the sleep too much to allow his worries from stopping him. Though now that he was awake, the heaviness of the day was buzzing inside his head. First, he needed to check up on his father. Afterwords, he would have breakfast with his mother and brother before finally visiting Camilla to ensure that she was ready for the court in the afternoon. While Nicholas had already made his decision, it was important that they were able to sooth over the nobles as well... At this point, Nicholas was unsure if he should worry more for his father or for his fiancee.
"Oh, I think you'll manage without losing your mind." Charlotte smirked a bit before laying her head down on Felix's shoulder, her face nuzzling into his neck. Her eyes closed and Charlotte took a moment to enjoy being close to Felix. Now that she had nothing to hide, it was much easier to just be herself with him. To allow herself to feel the connection that she had with Felix. Early on Charlotte knew she liked him but now she felt free to act on it. She took a deep breath in, letting Felix's scent fill her nose before she spoke again. "What do you have planned for the remainder of the day?" Charlotte knew there was no way he could spend the rest of the afternoon with her. And she knew she couldn't either. While she had purposely made it a lighter work day, Charlotte had to send some letters home to her father and the nobles, as well as do some studying.

Camilla was up and ready or the day early working on her speech going over and over it writing it down changing it then writing it again until she sat there looking at the words wondering if this was going to be enough. Camilla looked dup at the knock on her door and stood. She felt the tremble in her legs and took a step forward refusing to let her fear hold her back. She could not let Phillips actions push her away. She opened the door and sighed. It was Nicholas and she was safe. Camilla smiled softly. "Is it time already?" she asked him. She wanted to go over it a few more times. She bit her lip. The important part was to admit fault and to also give a repentance tole. She wasn't sure what she would be able to do for the country yet but she was working on it. She was glad Nicholas was here. She hoped that she might be able to talk with him a moment and see what it was he had in mind and if what she might be able to do would be acceptable at this time.
Felix chuckled his chest rumbling with his amusement and joy. "You might be right." he said and smiled resting for a moment with Charlotte so close to him. When she asked what he had to do he smiled. "Oh the usual, talking with nobles coming up with strategies for particular dilemmas and a meeting with the people and my father. Not in that order but still." he said and cupped her cheek. "It will be pretty tedious without you." he said. Honestly he had a feeling life was going to be a little easier with her in it even though they would be ruling to countries.

"We have a little bit of time before we head down to the court." Nicholas said softly as he walked into her room, closing the door behind him as he did so. "I just want to make sure that you are okay, and that you are ready." They didn't have a lot of time before they had to go down and face the nobles, but he wanted to try and calm Camilla before they headed off. While she might be able to put on a brave face, Nicholas knew that she had to be frightened. Talking to the court wasn't easy, especially when they were not pleased. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Nicholas had already spoken to a few of the nobles and the speech he had prepared would help her. Though a lot of this Camila was going to have to do herself. He could not win their trust back for her.
Charlotte let out a little hum as he listed off his duties for the rest of the day. "Well, hopefully, I can start joining you soon." She spoke softly into him. "And then it would not be so tedious." Even though it was going to be difficult, Charlotte looked forward to being by Felix's side for some of their duties. They would not be able to do it all together due to the countries being separate and the shear amount of work, but hopefully they would learn how to work in tandem. "And after visiting my home, you'll have to start learning from me as well." She said, a little smile on her lips as she looked up at Felix.
